Overall experienced i would rate them as an average for our 3d2n stay with Sotogrande..The Hotel was clean, staff are welcoming but some don't wear nameplates on duty most especially the front desk officer except for Paulo the bellboy who's only the one wearing nameplate while on duty😊.The food on the buffet was so good. My only concerned during that time was everytime i called up operator or the front desk officer for a needs you have to follow up 2x before they take actions..There was number for housekeeping to call but no one answers so I have to go through operator or the front desk again for my concern..

While the hotel has a lot of positives, there were a few factors that made my stay less than ideal. First, the location is convenient, especially if you’re traveling by bus, as it’s right next to the bus station. However, that proximity comes with some downsides. It’s quite noisy at night, with people blowing whistles and random noise from the street. What really stood out was someone blasting techno music at 6 AM—definitely not the wake-up call I was hoping for. On the plus side, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. I also really enjoyed the breakfast—there was a good variety, and the quality was better than expected for a hotel breakfast. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, friendly place to stay with a good breakfast, Microtel delivers. Just be prepared for some noise if you’re a light sleeper, especially early in the morning.

There are a few points would like to bring up 1. The ceiling fan in the room is functional, However, the wind is totally not strong enough, so turning it on means not turning it on. 2. No YouTube/Netflix function on TV. Staying other hotels in Baguio which the said functions are available as well. But here no. 3. The hangers in wardrobe are so inconvenient, It can only be hung in the closet and cannot be taken away. Sometime want to hang clothes at the balcony but have no way. 4. Suggest to have USB socket ports at the bed side would be more convenient 5. Seems no individual button could control the light of baloncy. Seems the light is connected to some of the lights in room. 6. Front desk are friendly but can be more professional. Approached to the reception but no one acknowledged. We have to tell them ”check in” proactively 7. Prior arrival, sent the message to hotel for the room inquire, the first they replied, but afterwards, no replied from hotel anymore. 8. Breakfast not much selection. And many staffs at the counter 9. Shower water pressure not strong enough and hot water not hot enough. And no water refill after make up room service. Even so, base on the hotel location and the mountain view, will consider staying again in the future. Hope the management will review the comments and hopefully will see some improvements by then. Thank you!

This hotel has some good points: 1. Great buffet bfast with a variety of food selections. I like their dried fish, omelette, langgonisa, coffee, breads, fruits. But noticed they did not serve bananas. Staff looks attentive to the needs of guests. 2. Have greats restos and shops nearby. Also near the CJH Conference area. 3. Has ample parking and nice garden plus heated pool. However this hotel also needs improvement on the following areas: 1. Front desk looks like they are not coordinated. Made separate booking for three nights via Agoda and Trip.com and informed the hotel about this arrangement. However, after our first night, front desk asked us if we are extending our stay. Worst, they deactivated our key cards so we have to go down again to have them activated again which caused some inconvenience. 2. Toilet has a foul odor so called housekeeping who took some time to attend to us. They told us what to do to avoid the foul smell but some unpleasant smell still remained so reported this to the team leader who sent their engineering to check. The hotel staff told us they will return but never did. So problem was not solved. 3. Requested for late checkout since our trip back to Manila was still at 2pm. However, front desk cannot commit and said will require approval. We followed up and got no positive feedback. Called team leader and made complaints about issues 1-3 and had our request accepted. 4. Very difficult to book a taxi or grab and the guards said because of too many guests or tourists. But it’s a pity that such an expensive hotel also has no shuttles service. We booked this hotel because it’s near the conference area but disappointed because we felt we didn’t get the value and services we were expecting. Anyway, thanks to the great staff.

Service was good overall, although there are things left to be improved. Room was comfy but for some reason, the fan is slow, which matters since there is no air conditioning. Breakfast is good, too. Location is walkable from SM and Session, which is good. A bit of noise from the construction site nearby and Baguio cathedral bells but nothing disturbing about it. It's a good budget hotel. One thing though, when we got to the hotel, the staff said they are not affiliated with Trip.com so our booking was rerouted to Agoda/Expedia, which was weird. We had to call Trip.com customer support to check.

AAnonymous UserThe landlady and other staff are very hospitable and accomodating. Great tranquil view in the terrace while enjoying morning coffee. Restaurant, laundry shop, mini store and water refilling station within the building for easy access. They will also help to arrange shuttle service to the municipal hall during checkout, which is helpful for those with a lot of baggage. There is a slope to climb getting to the inn, so it is not advisable for elderly/pwd. Also there are a few couple hours within the day that there is no water supply but it is not an issue since you'll be out exploring town.
