I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood and found the experience to be satisfactory. The hotel's location is convenient, situated within a short walking distance to public transport and a shopping center, which made exploring the area quite easy.
The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable environment for rest. However, I noticed that the breakfast options were somewhat limited, which was a slight drawback.
The rooftop pool and Skye Bar were highlights of the stay, offering a pleasant space to relax and enjoy views of the city.
Overall, while there were some areas that could benefit from improvement, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood was acceptable and met basic expectations.

Impressive lobby. Nice restaurant and bar. Front desk is polite & efficient if somewhat cold and robotic.
Rooms are not sound proofed from the outside- stayed on the 4th level in a deluxe room- windows weren't double glazed and seal was poor- traffic & street noise audible and disruptive to sleep. Draft coming in from the poorly sealed windows can be felt. Otherwise the room was reasonably comfortable- bedding was comfy, the usual amenities and large enough TV screen. The bathroom was cramped and small, just functional.
Overall, not sure if I will return again given the poor soundproofing of the rooms. The only advantage is its proximity to the international airport terminal. Otherwise just an average stay.
First time travelling to Sydney and needed a place to stay that is close to the city but also quiet when you need to sleep. This place is perfect for that! It’s clean and had a great time!
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach and a popular coffee shop. The service is good and the food is good.
Except for the two rooms where the automatic curtains could not be opened and took a long time to repair (probably because the hotel is not new after all, but it can be seen that the maintenance is quite good), and Ctrip booked the wrong room type, the rest is generally OK.
Ctrip booked the wrong room, which is not the hotel's fault, but it does affect the experience. The hotel could not give me the room because the room type I booked was fully booked that day, but the attitude of the front desk to try to solve the issue is quite good.
The hotel staff are very nice, so the overall experience is still OK.
Location next to central station provides easy transport to many attractions, extremely convenient. Male staff from the front reception are attentive and very helpful to bring our luggages down the wet stairs from railway square entrance on a rainy day. For the room, bed mattress unable to absorb motion transfer from a tossing sleeping partner, twin bed a better choice on hindsight. Bedside table a little dusty throughout our stay even after room cleaning, cleanliness could be better.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel—it was very comfortable and perfect for us as a family. The location is excellent, right in or near the CBD area, making it very convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and well-appointed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or leisure.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel with my family.
My children & grandchildren.
We had 2 x rooms.
We arrived early on a wet cold day, and they allowed us into one of the rooms.
Which was fabulous, made our day so much easier to leave our luggage in the room.
The staff were lovely, breakfast was great.
Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in Sofitel for 3 nights and everything was honestly 10/10. The staff are excellent - so friendly and helpful. They attended to all our needs. Special shoutout to Nia and Kla for being so friendly :) The place itself is luxurious and all the amenities were fantastic. The buffet was just phenomenal - they had everything you can ask for! One of the best breakfast buffets we have had and we have travelled all over the world. We felt spoilt for choice. We loved our stay here and definitely would highly recommend!! Oh and I can’t forget to mention that the location is super convenient surrounding Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf - had several places to eat and just an overall beautiful atmosphere.

MMaiara Rocha RodriguesThe hotel was super clean and well located. However, I had a small problem that was resolved, but it took me a while to get angry and spend a some time. When I left the hotel, I forgot my glasses, and called the hotel asking them to look for them and keep them because I would go back to get them. The receptionist said that housekeeping couldn't find anything. And she said Im sorry that's all you need thanks Men and hung up the phone However, I had to go to the hotel and shout to be let in to see for myself. Otherwise, I would call the police to report my lost item because I had proof of my glasses and I never leave without them. The manager told me to keep my voice down and do whatever,I wanted until another employee at the reception gave me permission to enter the room and look for them. When I went in, I didn't even have to look very hard. My glasses were already on a headboard facing the bed. I felt very poorly served in a situation where I needed them. I hope this doesn't happen to future guests. Thank you very much for staying at Hotel Furama!
GGuest UserExcellent experience! W Sydney
I recently stayed at W Sydney for 6 nights and the overall experience was impeccable. From the moment I arrived, the service staff was very enthusiastic and professional, taking care of every guest in detail and making everyone feel at home.
The room design is very modern and has a wide view.
The room I stayed in faced the night view of Darling Harbour, and it felt like I was in a painting every night.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well soundproofed, so I had a very good rest at night.
The hotel facilities are also commendable: the infinity pool on the top floor is so amazing that it is a must-visit; the gym is well equipped and the environment is clean and bright. The breakfast is rich in variety, combining Chinese and Western, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is efficient.
The location is also excellent, within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and Pitt Street shopping areas, which is very convenient for travel and entertainment.
Overall, W Sydney is a high-quality stay experience, highly recommended for travelers who value design, service quality and convenient location. I will definitely choose here next time I come to Sydney!
TTsangMabelI had a very pleasant stay at YHA Sydney Central.
From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Angel (the Angel!) at the front desk with a BIG radiant smile. Her helpful orientation about the hostel and surrounding area especially the super convenient Central Station just across the road made settling in easy and stress-free. I also appreciated the clear signage in the hostel which made navigation simple and intuitive.
I was thrilled to find the dual-monitor setups thoughtfully provided at every desk in the co-working space - something I have always desperately needed but never found in all of my travels across more than 20 countries. It was a huge bonus for me. I’d love to see it open beyond 11 pm. Given the area is well-secured with access card and CCTV, keeping it open 24/7 would be more user-friendly for those who struggle to focus during busy hours or for night owls working across different time zones.
Another seemingly small but thoughtful touch that made a big difference was the steam iron and ironing board provided in the laundry room. They were exactly what I needed very much since my clothes often come out wrinkled after long hours packed in suitcases.
I was also impressed by the detailed guidelines and the conveniently placed bins that encouraged timely, efficient and proper waste separation. In a world where environmental awareness is still lacking in many places, this served as a valuable education opportunity that travelers can learn from and take back to their own countries. It personally boosted my own environmental consciousness. I truly believe this is an excellent demonstration for travelers coming from different parts of the world.
My room was comfortable with a high ceiling, a tall window and a spacious locker to an extent that even a 81 cm suitcase can fit in with no difficulty. The table and chairs inside fostered a friendly and communal atmosphere which is perfect for us to unwind and share interesting stores with fellow travelers. However, both my roommates and I found the room too cold at night and it seemed that there was no temperate control options such as heating or air-conditioning. Also, the traffic noise from outside was quite loud, even on the fifth floor, and it lasted all day until midnight.
One area that really needs urgent attention is the Wi-Fi. During my brief two-day stay, the internet connection dropped frequently regardless where I was in the hostel, whether I was in my room, or on the kitchen floor, even at the front desk. A stable and reliable internet connection is essential for today’s travelers. To be honest, this was one of the most unstable, the slowest and weakest internet connections I have experienced in Australia. Thankfully, the internet connection was much better in the co-working space.
Thank you again for the warm hospitality and for creating such a welcoming space for us. I hope this review is helpful. I genuinely appreciate the effort put into maintaining such a great environment.
GGuest UserI spent the night with the man I was having an affair with, he invited me here. I hope this relationship is better than the woman waiting at home

Great
YYohanaStayed for 3 nights at the females only 4 bed room, it was my first experience staying in a room with strangers. I felt awkward at first but quickly adapted thanks to clear signs on where the ladies toilets(and showers) are, laundry room, and kitchen. Location is really the best highlight of this place where the light rail and bus stop are only 1 minute walk, and the central station is a 2 minutes walk (metro, train). Surrounding area is very close to the city center and so many cafes/restaurants to get food from. One night I nearly not able to grab my food that I kept in the communal kitchen’s fridge, because I just learned at that time the kitchen is closed at 10pm. They have free activities being offered everyday, which was nice, and I did join on the free city walk on a friday morning. Some noise can be heard especially if your room mate or next room’s guests make a lot of noises, but it is subject depending on the other people. Perfect if you don’t carry too many luggages or for a short trip. Considering the budget price, I would choose this place again for my next short trip to sydney.
LLunaryuClean rooms and friendly staff. Great price for the location. Easy access to Town Hall train/light rail stations and Museum station, which we used everyday. Easy access to the airport. Since the hotel is in the middle of shops, restaurants, and bars in central areas, it can get pretty loud at night, even with the windows shut and curtains closed. However, we didn't mind the noise.
RR Katy YMy family of 3 checked in early around noon. We stayed at a lovely 1 bedroom apartment on e 2nd level with a balcony which overlooks e street below. Apartment was spacious, amenities provided were sufficient though one could request for more when necessary.
What we loved best was e location which was so convenient for us to check out different places of Sydney. We ended up walking to our destinations most of e time while enjoying e weather and scenery. There was ample food choices all around e hotel too. Apart from a busier and noisier street during e weekend, which usually dies down by midnight, my family and I had a great stay in Rydges.
MmiSs JMWe stayed at Pullman Hyde Park in Sydney during Christmas holiday and while the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city with easy access to attractions and dining, the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. The building could definitely use some updates to match the price point.
We had an issue with the toilet seat, which was oddly positioned and wasn’t able to pull it up and made it uncomfortable for my husband to use. Not a major deal-breaker, but definitely a bit inconvenient. Another downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear a lot of noise from the hallway and other rooms, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.
The jacuzzi was quite small, much smaller than expected, but on a positive note, the rooftop pool was a highlight. The view of Hyde Park and the surrounding skyline was absolutely stunning—definitely the best part of the stay.
Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a central location, but for the price, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of room quality and amenities.
