A solid stay with all the essentials you’d expect from a standard hotel. Check-in was simple and efficient, making for a smooth start to the stay. I appreciated the nice coffee machine on the second floor—great for a quick caffeine fix. The rooms and common areas were clean, and the staff provided good service throughout.
Overall, a reliable and pleasant experience.
The front desk service was very thoughtful. There was a lady with an accent at the time. It was a very pleasant stay. Be careful when traveling to the UK. When you meet a service staff with an accent, your luck is coming. People with accents tend to be more thoughtful and have a better service attitude. Maybe foreigners need to work harder to stay. The hotel is in a good location. Just book it if you pass by nearby.
I love the Holiday Inn chain of hotels and the great standard it sets but I really wish they had a fridge in their rooms as I’m a diabetic and it would be nice to be able to my medicine in the fridge my son stayed at a hotel who was half the price and they had a fridge.moan over, we had breakfast and it was delicious the beds were comfortable and the overall standard is very good and the staff are very professional

The location was perfect, about 15-20 min walk from Piccadilly station. Breakfast was basic but very good with constant refills. The room was nice but a bit noisy especially when nearby rooms close their doors.

Our stay at this hotel was lovely. The people at the front desk were friendly and warm and really helpful. The lady at the bar was also lovely and friendly.Every staff that we encountered at this hotel was lovely.
The hotel has beautiful ambience and modern decor. The location of this hotel is super convenient as it’s very close to the city Center which by walking is about 6minutes.It is also close to the Manchester Picadilly train/tram station. The hotels location is also convenient to restaurants and a nice place called Spinningfield which is a 20 minute walk.
We would stay again😊😊🙂

Wow! This is truly the best hotel in Manchester! Every room is unique. The rooms on the first floor have high ceilings which gives it a grandeur feel. The staff are excellent and really pull the stops out to make your stay here extra special. The complimentary drink to meet other hotel patrons between 5-6pm is a welcomed touch. The food in the Refuge restaurant is of a high standard and I can honestly say that their Sunday Roasts are one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Sunday evening live jazz in the bar creates a great vibe. What I truly like about this 5* hotel is the atmosphere. Unlike most hotels, this hotel does not have that lifeless clinical feel that the majority of hotels who are catering to business clients. There restaurant and bars are of a quality where you would want to go even if you are not lucky enough to stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Clean and nice hotel in Manchester. It is very convenient to the university and Piccadilly train station. The breakfast is also very good. Good choice for vacation.
The location is just 10 minutes walk from Manchester Airport Terminal 1. The room is clean but there is no fridge at all. It is a bit out of expectation that the bar and restaurant in the hotel are actually look exactly as its conference halls, I think they just put tables and chairs there in café setting and make it the restaurant, no any decent lighting, furniture, decorations to boost an dining atmosphere, not even sounds like a place for breakfast. You can see from the picture the venue can be reverted back to a conference hall just removing the table sets. A bit disappointed for the dinner of the night's stay as it is at hotel pricing, food is just ok. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, there is nothing close by unless you travel to other areas, the closest walkable location is the airport or the train station.
Arrived really late but quick checkin , room clean and bed really comfy , taxi from airport was under 10 mins and cost roughly £15 ( tip included 😊) good nights sleep followed by breakfast which is included in the price , everything from fruit , cereals , yogurt , toast or to set you up for your travels you can have a cooked breakfast, really enjoyed and the staff were lovely, hotel called a taxi for us which arrived really quick and we were on our way back to the station stress free , highly

We had a pleasant stay at this new and clean hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary snacks and drinks provided at check-in. The breakfast spread was excellent and delicious. The location is very convenient for Terminal 2. However, there aren’t any nearby restaurants, and since we were using Terminal 1, it took about 15 minutes to walk there. Overall, it’s a great choice, highly recommended.

NNashykashyLoved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.
Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊
GGuest UserMy husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Tribe Hotel following a late flight to Manchester airport. It is in a great location (just behind Radisson Blu and Voyager) easy walking distance on the skylink. The rooms are new, modern and clean. The shower is a fabulous rainfall one. For saying how close it was to the airport, we did not hear a sound, exceptional soundproofing.
Cannot fault it, we will be back if ever need Manchester Airport again.
LLivRotaruI recently stayed at the Ibis Budget Hotel at Manchester Airport, and it was a fantastic experience! The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, offering everything I needed for a short stay. The location is perfect for airport access, with easy transport options to the terminals. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall value for the price was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and affordable stay near the airport.
SSonia ChandyOur overall experience wasn’t very satisfactory with this hotel. We got a non-window room, the staff members at the reception had no customer service skills as they wouldn’t help with minor inconveniences like providing coffee sachets except the member named Yasar.
The room was very hot and only table fan was provided, no AC option.
The specifications of the hotel do not meet as it says GYM, sauna, etc.
I am an influencer and youtube vlogger, I have a detailed review about the hotel on my channel.
AAnonymous UserConvenient location, just 3 min walk from metrolink. Helpful services, good English breakfast buffet. The hotel room is clean with only basic facilities. Good for a few day stay
Ttraveller2002Went here for my birthday just to get away for a couple of days and so glad I did! I had never been to Manchester before, but the location made it so easy - it’s only 10/15 mins away from Manchester Piccadilly, and the street has lots of fantastic bars. The staff couldn’t be more pleasant, and the leisure area was fantastic with great amenities such as the pool, sauna and unlimited towels. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a comfier bed before!
PPThe hotel is fine. Small rooms, quite far from Manchester. But it's cheap, close to the tram and the staff were friendly. It did the job. But, this is actually a review of trip.com. Whatever you do, do not book through them! I had booked a Travelodge a couple of mins from the arena, 2 months in advance, for a gig. Paid up front and was told by trip.com that it was all confirmed by the hotel. The night before I was going, I had another email from them saying that actually the hotel couldn't confirm the booking, there was now no space and I could go to this hotel instead. This cheaper hotel, a 20 min drive from the arena in Salford! I obviously dismissed that, found a few hotels close the one I'd actually booked (now much more expensive of course) and suggested those instead. Given it was their fault, I assumed they would just sort that out for me. I was very wrong. After several hours of online chat and then phonecalls, I was just repeatedly lied to (all of those other hotels are actually fully booked despite them being available on our site, etc....), never given an explanation for why they told me it was confirmed when it clearly wasn't, and eventually was given the option of cancelling the whole booking (and therefore having nowhere to stay the night before I was due to go) or just accept this hotel in a different city! I was also told I wouldn't even get the price difference between the hotels back if I accepted the transfer! After days of arguing I managed to get the difference back, plus £30 compensation (which didn't even cover the two taxis I had to get). Even that was a debacle as to get the payment, I had to click a link from an email which took me to an external, dodgy looking page where I had to enter my bank details. Absolute cowboys. Please don't book with them, even if it is cheaper than other sites!
Ccindy0072I discovered this hidden gem by accident. I had almost given up on finding a hotel that was close enough to the airport as well as to local shopping and had ac. There are only two things I have a problem with in regards to this place. Please note there is not an elevator or lift as the UK states. The other draw back is there is no way to shield the light in the bathroom area. It is hard to describe. There is a beautiful glass door to the right and left in the bath area with a sink in the middle of the space. If one has to get up to use the facilities the light being turned on glares in the face of the other one in bed. One other note is to be careful when closing the glass door. When I closed the door, my finger got closed in the door and it actually cut my finger below the cuticle. After 3 days, my finger is blue and sore.
While the hotel is directly under the local airport's flight pattern, we never heard planes unless we were outside.
The grounds are astounding as is the building itself. Make sure to check out the artwork throughout the place. If you like hidden staircases, watch out.
The place appears to be kid friendly. There is a fabulous playground adjacent to the property. Make sure to purchase duck food for the locals.
The bar, while somewhat limited in its offerings, was suitable for us. As to cost, the prices were comparable if not better than other bars/pubs we have visited..
We did not dine in the restaurant, but from what I say, the food looked amazing. The young man working reception was so very nice to help with our luggage as well as anything else we may have needed. The young ladies working in the bar were also very nice. In fact, they were so embarrassed by my asking to take their photo. They said no one had ever asked to take their photo.
MMallu Couple TravellersI recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts.
Location:
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle.
Parking:
The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches.
Hotel Condition:
This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms.
Rooms:
The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast.
Staff:
The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Value for Money:
Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. However, if comfort and modern amenities are a priority, you might want to explore other
