Great place to stay in beautiful Reykjavik and it's very fairly priced compared to other accommodation in the city.
The concept is mid-way between a hostel and a hotel. Yes, the rooms are small. But they are private, with shared bathrooms and private showers.
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They are always there to help. The hot tub is an excellent addition as well.
The only suggestions would be: provide a plug socket next to the bed (although, there is a USB-C and a standard USB charger), provide a slightly larger desk to fit your suitcase and perhaps a basic chair.
Otherwise, the place is excellent and I'd definitely recommend it for your visit to Reykjavik!

This apartment is highly recommended. The location is excellent, right in the city center and close to the bus meeting point. Most importantly, the room is clean and tidy, with a fully equipped kitchen, including various cookware and a dishwasher. There’s also a washing machine and a dryer. The toiletries are from L’Occitane, which was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend it!

Excellent location, so easy to get to where we wanted and needed to, especially we booked bus tours for 3 days, we were able to be picked up and dropped off at Bus Stop #1 that is located at City Hall where is only a few minutes away from hotel. It helped a lot when it’s raining. Only downside was the breakfast started @ 7 am which is bit late for early travelers, so the breakfast area was packed in the early morning. Maybe hotel should change its setting to let two rows of people picking up their breakfasts at the same time.

Hotel stay and check-in staff is friendly and helpful. However, the staff who on early morning duty(28.11.2024) rude and cheated on us for flybus arrival time. He booked us a taxi to main station, pretending the flybus pick up was late and he don't know what happen,I've booked for flybus hotel pick up, when he knew flybus pick up time is usually within 15mins(I've confirmed this with FLYBUS staff, they told me hotel staff usually know about this). Never believe this front desk staff (didn't get his name but I remember his on duty time/date). I think the hotel should look into this matter seriously.

Overall it was good, especially the cathedral was so close, I felt safe living in this place, the bedding was also very good and comfortable. I just felt that my deluxe double room was not luxurious enough, and it was a little different from the price I paid before and after. The breakfast was too thin, and it was prepared in advance according to the order I chose the day before and placed on a tray for the diners, but at least they should tell me to take it if it was not enough.

The location is easily accessible by public transit. It’s a self-service hotel, so guests must be sure to reach out if they haven’t received checkin instructions.
There are staff at the hotel and on call who are very friendly and helpful about routine issues which arise.
The included breakfast buffet is remarkable!!!

I appreciate the room upgrade given by the hotel staff. That's just smart business.
I like the location of the hotel, a few steps away from bus stop #9 , with windows watching for tour buses from the comfort indoors. And it's also close to shops and restaurants.
The rooms are clean and modern and the breakfast is pretty good.
In case of really bad weather (like during one day of my stay), you can just eat at the on-site restaurant which serves good food.
Good value for money, 1000 RMB can stay in a spacious four-star hotel in Iceland. The hotel has rich facilities and a good experience. The balcony view depends on which room you stay in. I personally don't think it's necessary. My order said that no payment is required upon arrival, and the city tax has been paid. But I still charged me 1.5 pounds for something else. I don't care about a small amount of money, but I feel uncomfortable.

Very Good
LLavendertamThe facilities are good but I was so angry that the staff took away our food stored in the fridge just because we forgot to write down the date , we have written down our names. One of the staff said that someone might have stolen our food. They advised us to close the floor door so that outsiders couldn't come in. I suspected the staffs have taken the food away for self used. If so, it is unforgivable as we had limited budget for our trip so we chose this cheap hostel.
The hostel should learn from Norway Bergen Montana Hostel , the unnamed & undated food would be treated as free food & stored at the very bottom box of the fridge for everyone to eat. It has many fridges for us to us there, not like this hostel which has only 2 fridges & no free food box provided.
WWongAaronI recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. Nestled in a convenient location next to the Church, the guesthouse presented itself as an inviting home away from home, perfect for travelers looking for an authentic and personal touch to their accommodation.
Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay.
The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food.
However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact. While the room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, the limited space could pose a slight inconvenience, especially for those with a significant amount of luggage or a
GGuest UserLocated in downtown Reykjavik, it is convenient for travel and has a good surrounding environment. However, it is a self-service hotel with no front desk and you have to contact by phone, which is very troublesome if you don't have good language skills. The breakfast is OK, rich and purely Western. Attached are photos of the surrounding environment.
GGuest UserI traveled to Iceland and chose this hotel for a total of three nights. This is the first night(8.6),Everything else in the hotel is very good. The only terrible thing is that for the room on my left, I can clearly hear their phone calls. For the room on my right, I can clearly hear them coughing and talking, which is very clear in the middle of the night. I doubt whether every room can hear the sound like this, so I will consider whether it is useful to propose to change the room.

DDebating CoachThis is not at BSI Bus Stop. This is at Bus Stop Reykjavík. It’s not far from Bus Stop 6 and I could use Kapper so that saved me a couple of taxis. Just don’t be afraid to walk out to the highway and cross at the stoplight. They have a lot of tours and the private room is nice. Just avoid wearing socks in bed or else it will lead to Icelandic levels of static generation. It hurts.
CCCI stayed in Alda Hotel for four nights. The hotel is situated at the city centre of Reykjavik which is very convenient. The room was well furnished and comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. They even prepared a ”grab and go” breakfast for me on the last day as I needed to check out early for my flight. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a high quality accommodation with reasonable price.

TTeacher HarryLayout of room was kind of strange. The bed is on a weird platform that might be difficult to navigate for less agile people, or those who are sleepy or otherwise impaired. Bathroom was overly small.
It has a kitchenette, but no microwave. The location is in the heart of the most touristy part of Reykjavik.
This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in while traveling to Reykjavik. The others, both lower priced, were not afflicted with the smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) in the water. It is possible to filter this out, and a person paying the price this hotel is asking should be able to expect better quality water.
If you want to be in the thick of the tourist action and don’t mind smelly water, this place is OK. Otherwise…
TTamarafriendly staff, the sauna and hot tub were clean and nice。。。。our room was perfect, but if you are picky with drinking water, bring your own to the room。the water from the tab is drinkable, but has a lot of sulfur in it and smells this way。
the breakfast was very good, different coffee, waffles, bread, porridge, fruits,。。。。
