Sep 26, 2025 (UTC+1)
Birkenhead
Cultural Experiences
On Friday 26th September , Make CIC and Future Yard CIC are hosting a day of conversation focused on two vital, connected topics: housing and high streets . Too often, the people doing the real work on the ground aren’t included in high-profile events. We're flipping that script; bringing together doers, experts, policymakers, and community voices to shape the conversation. Why now? Because big questions need broad perspectives: How can we deliver 1.5 million new homes before the end of this Parliament and empower community solutions? What will it take to reverse high-street decline and future-proof our places amid rapid technological change? This event will be a space to listen, share, debate, and co-create ideas. We'll gather insights found in presentations , workshops, panels, and discussions from across the day, into a response that we plan to present to the Labour Party Conference the following week. Tickets will include refreshments & food. Information Source: Make. | eventbrite

You can see more at www.jenniferduval-smith.com Student Feedback on Jennifer's previous botanical art classes: “Today was both a treat and a real privilege! Thank you for your time and expertise… I learnt a great deal. The pace was perfect and I loved the sensory extension…” A lovely atmosphere generated by Jennifer's joy in botanical art and her ability to include and enthuse students I love Jennifer's teaching style very clear, well structured but relaxed, positive, encouraging and informative “Jennifer was awesome, took us through step by step, especially about the observation aspect and construction of the subject, I would go to her classes again.” This class will change how I approach drawing, for the better I discovered that I really enjoyed the act of focused observation… I know that attempting to draw something will make me much better acquainted with my subject’s characteristics. The guide was excellent and I will use that going forward - especially useful for me when trying to articulate what makes a plant different from a somewhat similar variety. Click now to book!
