5-Star Hotels in Kedah, Malaysia

I had a wonderful stay at this seaside resort. The environment was peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful ocean views that made the experience even more special. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety to choose from. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout the stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Everything was perfect. Plenty of restaurants , very helpful staff very good breakfast This was my 3rd time to Berjaya Hotel and Resort before it was 4 star hotel now they have upgraded to the 5* Hotel & Resort. I like the rainforest chalets are very relaxable in a jungle itself. I request them if they can put extra handle shower or a small tap because sometimes you need to wash only feet, its not good to use the ceiling shower and get wet all body.,

We booked Premium Ocean Twin Suite, comes with 2 bedrooms (king sized beds). It’s spacious and very comfy place to stay. We love it. It is not directly accessible to the beach but we rented a car so it’s very near with a car ride. Service is excellent. It is actually at the apartment building section since it is a premium suite. We have a small feedback i.e the shower room floor is easily flooded after a shower and took a while for the water to drain out. We have feedback this to the receptionist. The rest was alll good ! We will come back again

The hotel lobby is an open-air concept, so without air conditioning, waiting for check-in can get quite hot and stuffy. Thankfully, they offer refreshing iced towels and a welcome drink (fair warning: it's very sweet!). The accommodation blocks feature a rustic charm, with red-tiled roofs and black walls. Each block has a single entrance that leads to four rooms – two on the upper level and two on the lower. A shuttle will take you and your luggage to your room, but it's actually quite close and easily walkable if you prefer. There's an outdoor pool to enjoy. We had dinner at the hotel's grill restaurant, enjoying sunset views with live music. P.S. Check-in isn't particularly early; our slot was 3:30 PM.

Amazing place for kids! Everyone was so personable and hospitable and my 9yo felt comfortable wandering around the hotel on her own (especially as staff made the effort to learn her name!). She was so happy she wrote a thank you card to Creamy - guest relations extraordinaire :). The kids amenities are super cute and roti canai breakfast super yummy. The Peranakan restaurant super delicious and beautiful too!

This was our fourth stay at The Datai Langkawi, and it just keeps getting better! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with incredible service and hospitality. The resort's setting is simply breathtaking, nestled in the lush rainforest and right by the beach. Breakfast: One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. The variety of delicious options available was impressive, catering to every taste. From fresh tropical fruits to local specialties, everything was exceptionally tasty. We loved starting our day with such a wonderful spread! Rooms: The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from our room were stunning, and it was a joy to relax in such a peaceful environment. Family Activities: The resort offers a wide range of activities for families, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. Our kids had a blast exploring, and there were plenty of options for relaxation and fun. Overall, our experience at The Datai Langkawi was nothing short of perfect. The combination of delicious breakfast, beautiful rooms, and exceptional service makes it an ideal getaway for families. We can’t wait for our next visit!

I especially appreciated the little details like birthday wishes, breakfast, welcome drink and fast Wifi. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable visit.”

We booked the 2 bedroom suite which was beautiful and very spacious with a large balcony wrapping the entire suite. Unfortunately they were carrying out repair works on the room above us when we arrived, hence we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom garden villa after the 2nd night. The only drawback was that the entire resort is somewhat dated, the 2 bedroom garden villa was also dated. Breakfast was very good with a fantastic roti cannai station. The room service at night left much to be desired however, we ordered the roti cannai, beef burger, fried kway tiao, nasi lemak and satay, all were not nice. The day time kitchen seems better than the night, we ordered the chicken noodles which was very good. Pictures are of the garden villa. Did not manage to take pictures of the suite in time.

Had a wonderful stay in the hotel. Staffs are very nice, attentive and respond to all our needs. Went to celebrate my partner’s birthday, the staffs helped by preparing surprise for us. The bed is comfortable, food is good, view is superb. Will definitely come back again.

Took me a while to decide on Four Seasons due to slight put off by the location as it was rather secluded on the other side of the island. (which also meant privacy and peace) But was pleasantly and amazingly surprised by them. Booking via Trip, I didn’t expect that the hotel will reach out to me directly to check about my trip and how they can facilitate my plans better. Having booked over Trip numerous times, this was a first. This is also not my rodeo with 5stars on Trip. I felt valued and felt the sincerity the hotel expressed on how much they welcomed my stay and looking forward to my arrival. I arrived early for check-in and the whole process was swift, personal and made me feel extremely welcomed. Before I even asked, the team checked on my flight details out of Langkawi, and arranged for my late check-out to match my flight out so that I can stay rested and enjoy the resort till my very last moments in Langkawi. It surprised me as it was extremely personal and showed how well the hotel treated each guest and placed their needs at their utmost priority. I honestly didn’t expect their thoughtfulness. A resort tour was then arranged on a buggy to show me around the area and to introduced to me the different restaurants and facilities. And then we were showed to our room. Room was dated and had visible signs of wear and tear but all in all was within expectations. Clean and spacious and had a giant tub which filled up rather quickly despite the sizes. Room was well lighted with generous amount of day light. Having shared with the team that I was celebrating my birthday, they arranged for cake and champagne in my room to welcome me. Their service was consistent and I also received great attitudes at their restaurant, Kelapa Grill which served great seafood. Thank you Four Seasons Langkawi for such a memorable stay. Your service have been impeccable. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and warm hospitality. I will most definitely be back.
