I enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza but unfortunately the TV was not working for my whole stay. The staff were very apologetic but unfortunately it did not complete my whole stay. Just a shame that the problems with the internet and tv were not resolved before my stay was completed.
This is the second time I stayed with Dorsett, the last time is in February 2025, I had a great experience so I returned. This time I have to move my room 3 times. The first room due to no hot water on the tap, the second one due to the shower head hose burst with leaking spray, the manager was very apologetic for the repeated inconvenience and upgraded us to a executive room with complimentary breakfast. While I am a bit annoyed with the repeated moving, I am impressed with the manager's gesture for keeping customers happy. The another thing I like the hotel to improve is to keep the outdoor pool may be two degrees warmer so that hotel guests can still enjoy the beautiful pool in winter, especially the spa area.

Bed not clean got red dirt on it, carpet and floor sticky, dead insect on the edge of sofa, all these I found out in my first night. I didn’t request to change room because I was very late to find out at night plus less too tired after d whole day flight. This was not d worst part, after I did my washing, d drying machine wasn’t working properly. I tried three times, it will stop by itself after working for either 10mins or max 20 mins. This is d first time I rent apartment in Australia. If you want to have cleaning your room. I highly not recommend apartment and go to look for serviced apartments or hotel
Great location. 10min walk to the beach. Lots of eateries around the hotel. Supermarket abit further down. Tram is just right below the hotel. We booked ocean view room, the view is fantastic!

The hotel room is very clean and new. Not very spacious but enough for us 2+1.
Location wise, good and bad. Good: very close to Brisbane Central | Bad: no flat road from the station to the hotel, imagine you have to carry large baggage and walk down the staircase from the station. That's not the end yet, to go to the hotel, you have to walk up the slope to get to the main door. It is quite disastrous, frankly speaking, especially with kids and multiple baggage.
Not much of variety in the breakfast section, but food taste was ok.
Overall this is a good hotel but the location makes me take a step back unless I'm traveling light with backpack.
Beautiful big room, quite a walking distance from the city though. But great hotel with loads of amenities like teas, coffees, refreshers and complimentary water. Overall great big room definitely worth for its price.
I made a mistake in booking my name at first, but the staff was very helpful.
My family doesn't speak the same language, so I used translation software. It was inconvenient for the old man to go upstairs, so he found a room without stairs.
+ Was an excellent stay. Great pools and jacuzzi.
- Room clean could be better as they did not top up the tea or sweetener, or laundry detergent. When called to bring sweetener, they brought sugar instead.
= But overall, nothing that couldn't be rectified. Would stay again and as I usually do at the Meriton.

Room is ok and staff service is nice. But the swimming pool opens till 9pm which is too early. After i finish dinner, i can only swim for 30 min: if the pool opening hours are till 10:30pm, I will definitely rebook next time

TTerriWe had a few problems with swipe cards, which didn't end up resolved, lots of apologies but no offer of compensation (to access our room we had to get the staff to swipe us up to our level then swipe into our room) otherwise it was a lovely stay, beds are super comfy
AAnonymous UserThe room rate is cheap. I booked a cheaper hotel because I had to get up early to catch the flight. The only drawback was that I was given a disabled room on the lower floor. I had to get up early the next day so I didn't ask for a room change. The floor was high and I could smell the fumes from the restaurant downstairs. I recommend booking a room on a higher floor.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserA very satisfying stay in Gold Coast. I have been here before and paid attention to this hotel. Maybe it is because of the peak season, the price is relatively high, but this price is very good. The hotel is right next to the surfer, and I think it is the most beautiful building and location on the entire coastline. There are all kinds of food downstairs, and it is a few minutes walk to the pedestrian street. The surrounding environment should be the best. After all, we have high requirements. The most important room is very good. Although there are some minor problems, the faucet is not smooth, but the stay is nothing to say. The scenery is very beautiful. I will definitely choose this place next time I bring my family.
GGuest UserHave stayed here a few times now and always had a nice stay. Clean and comfortable. Nice addition to have the pool too although there isn’t much seating around the pool. Staff are friendly and location is perfect. The only thing I have to moan about is the deposit - even when I asked it does not get refunded, I have had to go through my bank every time to get the deposit back, maybe I’ve just been unlucky but it’s never been refunded to me from the hotel, I’ve always had to raise a query with my bank to get it back.

PPHILLIP JAMESThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.
SSakibBeautiful tropical island. Hotel service and food was amazing. They have free snorkeling. I once visited Yasawa islands in Fiji. This place is not too different. Very nice views. Excellent staff. I would recommend a 2 to 3 night stay for leisurely travellers who just want to relax. If you're a sightseeing traveller, you can see the sights easily through a one night stay
SShannan LeeThe location is perfect and centrally located in the heart of shopping centres, walking distance to the beach and night life.
Great rooms on the 22nd floor. The beds are very comfortable, and the room is spacious for up to 3/4 people.
The downside for us was that the staff at the reception told us that there wasn't a restaurant located in the hotel when we enquired while checking in, so we went out to look for something to eat after we checked in to the hotel, only to get back to find a brochure in our room advertising a Cafe conveniently located in the hotel for guests.
I highly recommend that the staff need to be informed of any changes in the hotel so that they are able to provide accurate information about the hotel to the guests.
The check-in and check-out process was great, made conveniently for guests and staff, there's no long cues at the reception👍🏾
We'll definitely be returning.
GGuest UserWe didn't expect our stay to be in such a wonderful setting. With tennis court, fantastic pools area with gym etc. we were on the 2nd floor with Riverview WOW. THE resort is totally central to all. Also the cost factor unbelievable not your normal Surfer Paradise $$$$$. Totally recommend

PPrasadThis hotel is spectacular!!! Not enough words can express how beautiful it is. Every staff member made you individually feel welcomed and genuinely looked after. Each person always had a smile and genuinely wanted to help. For example Gina and Alex in the breakfast restaurant Critique were extremely helpful and at your service. Rahul at reception was helpful and explained all the hotel facilities. The maintenance manager was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The lagoon area made you feel as if you were in Bali, Phuket etc. To say it is spectacular is an understatement. For my entire stay, each staff member made my birthday extremely special, memorable and second to none ever experienced before. Thank you all the staff at JW.
