A great value for money option! The experience of staying at this 4-star hotel is nothing less than that of a 5-star hotel. The entire hotel is very well equipped with a small casino, various restaurants, bars, etc., which is very convenient. The rooms were very clean and the experience was great!

We spent one night here. The location is great as it is close to the airport, just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The building and its interior are quite old. One thing that bothers me is that they didn’t change the toilet paper, which gives an impression that the hotel doesn’t emphasize much on hygiene. It’s a place to stay at if you are on a budget.

Very happy with my stay at Movenpick hobart from 18-21/01/25 (Sat to Tue) for AU$606 - the rate (20% off for diamond tier) is even better than their end of year sale via official website as an ACCOR member (15% off) Since other's reviews of classic rooms seem depressing as there is no view at all.....thus I booked a superior room with city view. However being allocated to room 403 on the 4/F .....instead of full length windows as per promotional pics.....my window is relatively less impressive. Also there is a high pitch wheezing sound from the corridor......but the sound has gone once we open our door..... hopefully I can have a better room above 5/F next time. Chocolate hours and the day bed in the room are something that we liked most, not much interaction with staff so hard on their hospitality....but on the day of check in around 3pm, a cleaning staff just entered and shocked to see us inside. She thought the room needs to be clean hopefully not making her scared

We only spent one night here but it was a pleasant stay. The location is great and there are restaurants, shops and supermarkets around the neighborhood. One thing that we liked the most is the design of the toilet, though we didn’t take any pictures of it. The toilet is spacious and designed in a modern and relaxed way.

While the hotel offers a range of appealing amenities, including a heated swimming pool, our recent three-night stay was marred by cleanliness issues within our room. Despite reporting stained bedsheets to the reception on the second night, the problem remained unresolved until the afternoon of the day. Even then, the room attendant's attempt to rectify the situation was incomplete, as a stained linen was inadvertently left behind. While the hotel's facilities and standard amenities were comparable to other accommodations, the cleanliness shortcomings significantly impacted our overall experience. We hope that future guests will not encounter similar issues and that the hotel will take steps to address and prevent such occurrences in the future.

The location is very good. It is in the city center, close to the tourist information office. It is a ten-minute walk. If you don't drive, it is very convenient to join a local tour group. It is also close to the pier and there are many restaurants nearby. We booked a suite with two bedrooms and one living room. It was very large, with three double beds, a kitchen, two toilets, a shower room, a bathtub, a washing machine, a clothes dryer and other equipment. It was close to the road and not too quiet. The hygiene is also very good and highly recommended.

The hotel is located at the harbor, about 10 minutes' walk from the city center. There are many restaurants around where you can drink while enjoying the sea breeze. The hotel itself is a small museum The small bar downstairs is open until 89 o'clock, which is great

Lovely reception agents, helpful services. Parking slightly pricey considering it is one of the only local options other than even more expensive parking lots but apart from that happy with service and a lovely clean, comfortable hotel with a cute little gym.

Just like other DoubleTree by Hilton hotels, this new hotel in Hobart provides excellent room and breakfast experience. We were always greeted & served by service oriented staff, & the signature welcome chocolate cookie was yummy. There was a free upgrade to a bigger room & it was so spacious & comfortable. Love the amenities in room as well as the complimentary coffee & tea bags. Breakfast was of great quality, didn't regret adding it to my booking. If we had to nitpick, location was a bit off from the main action near Franklin Square, but it wasn't too bad, about 10-15 min walk. Overall, it was a wonderful 2-night stay & I'd love to stay here again if I return to Hobart!

Lovely villa accomodation with free tennis racquet hire and a well equipped gym, indoor pool and spa facility. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the friendly and helpful service from reception staff 😀
