A hotel with good location, close to the shopping center, embankment and beach.
The rooms are modest, without excesses.
Breakfasts are not very diverse, but are quite saturated.
A good option for your money.
The Akamanthea Hotel in Polis Chrysochous is a real gem in Paphos. The location is excellent – close to all the main attractions, including the famous Yiannakis Beach, the charming Polis harbor, and the breathtaking Akamas Peninsula. The hotel offers beautiful views and a relaxing environment that makes it perfect for both couples and families.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms and facilities are spotless, and the breakfast is tasty with plenty of options. The large, clean swimming pool with a pool bar is an ideal spot to spend the day under the sun.
With its combination of comfort, cleanliness, great service, and reasonable prices, it truly is value for money. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore the area, this hotel is exactly what you need for a memorable holiday.
Overall it was a nice hotel with a good pool and the food was tasty. We were bed and breakfast and decided to eat in the main restaurant (katoi) for one of the nights. On the large restaurant booking screens we saw there was an a la carte menu with lots of reasonably priced meals (circa €15) so planned to have this. When we turned up they said there was only the buffet available (€33) which was quite expensive, but we couldn’t go anywhere else in the hotel as it all needed pre booking. The staff had never heard of this menu.
When we checked in with our toddler we were hoping there would be a cot in the room already. There wasn’t so we called for one, which we were told would be right there. An hour later nothing had turned up, so we rang again and were told it would be there after we returned from dinner. When we got back there was a bed being set up which was totally unsuitable. We had to ring again by which time it was ages after her bedtime.
Arrived late due to a problem with a precise explanation and key box.
Attentive multilingual staff, including French, which isn't mentioned on the website.

Pleasant stay
It was good for a night stay - though catered more towards families and people having a package holiday but as an independent traveller it was a nice break for me. The breakfast was really good and the male receptionist was kind (don’t know his name). The view wasn’t great as it was overlooked by a block of flats.
The hotel is a little outdated than other 4 star hotels. The room is old too makes me feel like a dormitory. But the hotel has all amenities you need. I think it’s a good place for family but not solo travelers.
Nice hotel with very big rooms and sea view from all of them. Nothing special
Huge territory for sunbathing, so you always able to find the place
Breakfast is ok
Great hotel design and hardware with mediocre service:
Spacious room, great location, beautiful compound and design (as long as you don’t get one of those side rooms that faces the back of a building or the carpark). Wide range of selection for breakfast.
It’s weird that the carpark is a little further away and you’re supposed to call a number at the gate every time for them to open for you. They said it’s toll free but I doubt it’s free for an international line. I don’t know who would spend international calling rate to call the number as most people uses esim today. The way they challenged me and say “why don’t you just call” and insisted it was free just made me feel very disappointed. There’s also no refill of the room’s coffee station (it’s chargeable)- I guess it’s because they call themselves a suite/ service apartment. There were a few other examples of mediocre services: not deal breaker but could have been better.
Overall I would say it is good value for money given the spacious and beautiful room, so simply don’t place too much emphasis and expectations on service then you’ll be fine.

GGuest UserThe hotel exceeded all my expectations! The pictures online doesn’t door any justice at all! The interior, and attention to details is quite exquisite! The staff are friendly and extremely accommodating making your stay truly memorable! I think this has to be if not the best hotel in paphos! My first time staying here but won’t be my last! The food is amazing, especially the breakfast so much option and also the option of champagne for breakfast says it all! They accommodated my late check out and provided me with a complimentary room to get ready before my flight to the airport. This hotel in my opinion is beyond 5*.

HHONGMEIThe breakfast is rich. The hotel is close to the sea, and it's quite beautiful to watch the sunrise in the sea view room. It has convenient parking. It's suitable for trips of families, parents and children as well as couples. The coastal running track is behind the hotel, which is very convenient for morning exercises. A marine project service point is conveniently located nearby.

AAghiad Shaaban-KabakiboBreakfast super buffet everything delicious, and corresponds to the price-performance ratio, for dinner a restaurant VIVA CYPRUS is very RECOMMENDED nearby.
Great location. In Paphos the buses are bad, please rent a car immediately, it's cheap 10-20 €/day... the taxis are expensive and they screw every pig... So please rent a car.
Staff: I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are the best... Always helpful and very human... My wife did not feel well during the holiday and went to the hospital. They allowed me to take breakfast to go for my wife and a delivery box prepared for this... That was really great.
Cons : the hotel is a bit old and the facilities need to be updated but that's easily ignored when you have such a great friendly staff.
Sauna against 7€ extra which is also disadvantageous in my opinion.
So in a big goose the hotel is very good and I book there again and again 😁.
Greetings from Chaban family
KkarietteThe room was a little outdated but the food really impressed us. It was always different and freshly made. It really impressed us. The staff was friendly and after some time, they recognized us.
Even it was off season there was always entertainment in the evening and we could really stay at the property at night and enjoy our evening.
It was very quiet in the evening even we had a pool view room facing the pool. We slept really we.
What's also impressive is the clearness. It's really well maintained and daily cleaning service was also perfectly done.
If you stay there, you have to do all inclusive. The food really makes everything perfect.
GGuest UserBeautiful, renovated and clean rooms. The breakfast was very rich and of good quality... The service was impeccable... The exterior of the hotel needs renovation, such as the building, garden and pool furniture... Inside, the rest of the areas apart from the rooms and reception need care and maintenance... In general terms it is a good hotel but definitely not a 5 stars hotel..

AAroundTheWorld356I had premium garden cabana with sea view. There is nothing premium about this cabana there is no garden and sea view is limited. Room are clean and service is good but rooms and hotel needs upgrade and maintenance ie. in my room floor was falling apart. Pool is very nice. Access to beach ONLY via few steps. On the beach you need to pay for sunbed and umbrella if you want to use it otherwise you can lay on the towel/sand. I was at the end of September and age average in this hotel was well above 65-70 so no young couples or families at ALL. Overpriced for the overall quality.
