This hotel is beyond expectation. Very well located, next to the art center and botanic garden. We took short 10 minute walk to city center. Parking on hotel properties is extra 25 NZD but worth it. Room has enough space for family of four. Beds were comfy. Room not very sound proofed but luckily the area and hotel guests were not noisy at all.
The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the botanical garden, and with convenient bus links to both the airport and the city center. I particularly loved the view from the window; the plants are incredibly lush, varied, and beautifully layered. Perhaps its close proximity to the botanical garden has influenced this richness and expert design. This establishment truly prioritizes its garden landscaping.
The hotel is opposite the New Regent Street with shops and restaurants and the Cathedral Square just round the corner. Walking to bus stop of Route no. 8 to the airport on Hereford Street is easy and takes less than 15 minutes. There are toilets at the lift lobby for customers before final departure. The room is decorated with beautiful pictures. Nespresso capsules are really a morning treat for customers who need a cup of coffee, rather than the standard travellers coffee sachets.
Kaikora hotel was absolutely astonishing from the meals down at the hotel - which I definitely recommend, to the lovely Alexa in the room to give you just the information you need. Sudima hotel had an amazing heated pool with a breathtaking view of the mountains and beach beside. You can save some money if you book directly through the hotel website after subscribing as a Sudima member.
The service was warm, especially the doorman and the front desk who greeted us when we first arrived at the hotel. The guy was enthusiastic and took the initiative to help carry the luggage. Before we checked in, the luggage had been moved to the room. The hotel has a dedicated parking lot, which requires valet parking and costs NZD 30 per day. The room is large and spacious. Although the facilities are a bit old, it is still convenient and comfortable to use. The location of the hotel is also very good, a 2-minute walk from the tram departure station, which is very convenient for shopping and major attractions.
The hotel is right in the center of town, not a bad restaurant downstairs. The room had an iron, hairdryer, a few towels, bath amenities and even a fridge. Unfortunately my adapters did not work, but the reception gave me two adapters for the duration of my stay.
Except there's a stain on my bedsheet, the hotel is a great to stay in as it's spacious and other parts of rooms and toilets are clean. 15min walk to Bontanic gardens or to Riverside market and a Casino just opposite.. Was greeted warming by the staffs n a breeze to check in. It's worth for a long stay where all amenities are provided, especially love their Huia series.
Just to note the towels are changed every 3 days but u can have it changed upon request for environmental friendly purposes.
Novotel Christchurch Airport is an excellent choice for comfort and convenience. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-designed, offering a relaxing stay right next to the terminal. Staff are warm, professional, and always helpful. Dining options are tasty with great variety. Perfect for families and travellers seeking stress-free accommodation.
A great business option, given location (walkable from airport and for me my meeting location). Thevhotel has a pretty standard restaurant and buffet breakfast.
Services and amenities standard (coffee making facilities,a fridge, a couple of sky channels and a work desk etc). No microwave.
The hotel as far I could see, has quite a large footprint, (I.e., single storey) ... so be prepared to walk quite far to your room (an issue for me since I am recovering from a broken foot).
Nice and quiet. Comfy bed ^^

SskeatyThe hotel is conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities.
The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay.
The breakfast offered was delicious and had a good variety of options.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is fairly centrally located (about a 15 minute walk), but at the same time in a quiet area. The room was huge, for lack of a better term - it's basically a lounge, a twin room and a double room. Not sure if that's actually the room I booked or an upgrade. At any rate, it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The outer design is also very nice. There's also afternoon tea for free from 15:30 till 16:30. The price is not particularly low, but all things considered it's value for money (only 25-30% more expensive than a private room in a hostel), especially if more than one person is staying. All in all, a great option, if your budget allows it.
MmichelleI booked this hotel as it is the tallest building in Christchurch. But when we arrived, we were allocated to level 3 and the initial room allocated smell terrible. After few discussions and showing our unhappiness, almost treat to move out of the hotel. The hotel then gave a slightly better room, at least, no funny smells. Given this experience, i would advise you need to book all IGH directly, so they will look after you. if you book via 3rd party. Given the corporate rate, they gave you the worst room in the house. I have always been using trip.com when i travel in China and have always been well looked after. This is the only exception case.

NNomadikThis is my 3rd stay in a few months . Each time, consistent check in process . Cordial and efficient on late night flight arrival into CHC. The team overall is super friendly. This time I was allocated a newer business room on 4th floor. These are amazing ! Large, modern sis opus bathrooms, plenty of wardrobe space, balcony, full size desk. I wished I stayed longer to enjoy for longer. The property is busy yet very quiet. So easy to sleep and get truly good rest. My favourite hotel near the airport. I tried two others which are also good but so noisy outside the room, which does not work well for me when arriving late in the night.
