View of the Taal Volcano & the lake is breathtaking. Front desk staff is kind of robotic! š¬ Breakfast service is alright. Bell hops helpful and friendly. Magnificent fireworks on the stroke of midnight on NYD 2025! Overall quite satisfactory experience!
It's always fun and memorable staycation here. We love their swimming pools, very relaxing. Lobby and room smell so nice. Perfect location also. Restaurants, malls, groceries and coffee shops are just walking distance.
This hotel in the industrial area cannot take taxis or grabs.
The Japanese restaurant next to it is delicious.
The room is big and the breakfast is simple. The attitude of the service staff is very good.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Timberland Heights Resort, and overall, it was a lovely trip. The resort offers a similar atmosphere to Shangri-La Boracay, though naturally not at the same level of luxury and elegance. However, it provides a great vacation experience, perfect for stays of at least two nights to fully enjoy activities like the Outdoor Cinema, Bonfire with Sāmores, and swimming in the infinity pool with its stunning views of both the city and nature. Itās a place I would return to and recommend to friends.
That said, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. First, attention to cleanliness could be improved, specifically with the coffee mugs and kettle in the room. Ours had hardened residue, particularly around the mouth area of the kettle. Fortunately, the Manager promptly addressed the issue by replacing the mugs, glasses, and providing us with a new kettle, which was much appreciated.
Additionally, Iād like to bring up a concern regarding the swimming pool. My son has swum in numerous pools both locally and internationally, and this was the only time he experienced an allergic reaction. We initially thought his fever was related to a cold, but on our last day, he developed rashes, which we later learned were due to an allergic reaction. The rash began on his neck and spread to his shoulders, chest, back, and limbs. After visiting his pediatrician and undergoing lab tests, it was confirmed as an allergic reaction. We suspect that it may be related to the chemicals used for pool maintenance, as this was the only pool that triggered such a reaction after over 20 others.
While this was an isolated incident, I think it would be worth the managementās attention to review the chemicals used in the pool to ensure theyāre safe for all guests. This would help to avoid any similar experiences for future visitors, especially those with sensitive skin.
I truly hope to return and celebrate future occasions at Timberland Heights Resort, and with a few adjustments, Iām sure it can continue to offer even better experiences for all its guests.
The facilities were okay but not exactly what I would expect from a four star accommodation. The finishings look old but are still serviceable. The breakfast buffet was good. The Bangus ala Pobre was well seasoned and filling. There were also two real fruit juice options which was nice.
The hotel room is spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Nice facilities all good. They have a heater in the shower room that's what I love. The place is accessible to the mall and busses going to Manila if you are a solo traveller. The room is very comfy so I have a very nice and pleasant stay in this hotel.
The place is great, loads of complimentary drinks and food. When it comes to cleanliness, they can do better. And a little upgrade of the amenities will be best, too. But overall, we enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Camp Netanya. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Thanks to Sir Owen, the restaurant manager, and all of the staff for making our stay feel at home.
Staffs are friendly and professionals. However rooms need to be disinfected. Our first room has lots of small cockroaches. Second room, after we requested for replacement, is better. Still we noticed small cockroach in the bathroomā¦
Overall, it was a great experience. The amenities were amazing ā lots of activities to enjoy, whether you're into relaxing or staying active. You definitely wonāt run out of things to do!
The food was delicious, and the staff were all so kind and accommodating. They even granted our request for a room with a stunning view of Taal Volcano ā waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable.
Cleanliness was good, Iād give it a 4 out of 5. Thereās a little room for improvement, but it didnāt take away from the overall enjoyment.
If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great food, fun activities, and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Canyon Woods!

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.
MMelvin RaagasI had an amazing stay! The service was exceptional, and the staff are accomoding. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The free breakfast was a delightful bonusādelicious and with plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
SsushifranThe environment is excellent for a holistic health resort. Wrapped within a forest with lots of trees and organic farming all over the place.
Good: Spa treatments were really good. All therapists very professional and I had an extremely good experience.
To improve:
- it's 2 hour drive from the airport. The resort does not provide shuttle service from airport, I had to find my own transport. Lucky I found a very reliable and good driver.
- customer service not up to such a luxury resort level. Some of them are good but some seem to be quite reluctant in answering requests. Like when I make booking, it takes them forever to reply, and no following up. I also sent my health report as requested at reservation, they never read it and still ask me about it when I arrive. What's the point.
- food could be better.
- decor and songs in the rest very outdated.
JJill M.It's always fun and memorable staycation here. We love their swimming pools, very relaxing. Lobby and room smell so nice. Perfect location also. Restaurants, malls, groceries and coffee shops are just walking distance.
JJeriVI initially booked a room for two with a lake view but later added a third person, necessitating an extra bed. The hotel clearly explained the additional fee of 1,500 pesos, which covered accommodation and breakfast for the third guest. The check-in process was smooth and convenient, and there was ample free parking available. The early morning view of Taal Lake was absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was sumptuous. I highly recommend this hotel for family travelers.
VVinaVanessaHere's an elaborate review based on your stay at Taal Vista Hotel:
**Hotel Review: Taal Vista Hotel (Stay Date: January 4-5)**
My recent stay at Taal Vista Hotel was a blend of elegance and family-friendly amenities, though not without a few quirks.
Pros:
1. **Elegant Ambiance:** Taal Vista Hotel exudes elegance, especially with its grand architecture and beautifully maintained grounds. The back of the hotel features a spacious area perfect for strolling and playing, with breathtaking views of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano.
2. **Family-Oriented:** This hotel is a haven for families. The expansive lawn provides ample space for children to run and play.
3. **Wide Parking Space:** Ample parking space makes it convenient for guests arriving with their vehicles.
4. **Breakfast Buffet:** Though the breakfast buffet had limited choices, every dish served was delicious and satisfying.
**Cons:**
1. **Unheated Pool:** Unfortunately, the pool is unheated, which might be a downside for those looking to take a dip in colder weather.
2. **Outdated Room:** The room we stayed in felt quite old and outdated. The chair and sofa had tacky covers, likely because they were really old.
3. **Towel Availability:** Surprisingly, there were no towels in our room upon arrival. We had to request them, which was quite disappointing considering this is a 5-star hotel.
In conclusion, Taal Vista Hotel offers a beautiful and serene environment, ideal for families, but could use some updates in the rooms and better attention to detail in terms of amenities like towels.
