I stayed at Novotel Makkah and overall everything was excellent. The only downside is the distance from Masjidil Haram, but the hotel provides a shuttle bus service. However, it’s important to note that the bus should always be on standby at least 30 minutes before prayer time and depart no later than 20 minutes before the adhan.

A new hotel, everything is very good, with children, family travel, the environment is the most important, very comfortable. There is also an outdoor swimming pool on the rooftop, which is great and the children are very happy. Also provided drinks from the mini bar

The room is large, with floor-to-ceiling windows that can see the temple, swimming pool, and gym. The clerk is very enthusiastic and helps with taxis, invoices, and travel suggestions. All in all, it is a very good hotel. If I have the chance to go there next time, I will choose it again

I had the pleasure of staying at Violet Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone considering a trip to this holy city. First, the location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is situated just a short distance from the Haram, making it incredibly convenient for performing prayers and attending religious duties. The view from my room offered a beautiful sight of the surroundings, providing a serene feel which added to my spiritual journey. The staff at Violet Hotel deserve special mention. From the moment I checked in, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The concierge service was particularly helpful in assisting me with local transportation and offering advice on places to visit. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. I appreciated the modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a fully-stocked minibar. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to get some much-needed rest after long days of prayers and exploration. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring the room was spotless each day. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, from local Saudi dishes to international fare, all prepared with fresh ingredients. I also dined at the in-house restaurant for dinner a couple of times, and the meals were absolutely delightful. In terms of facilities, the Violet Hotel offers several amenities that enhance the guest experience. There is a well-equipped fitness center, which I found extremely beneficial to keep up with my exercise routine. The business center also came in handy as I needed to catch up on some work during my stay. Overall, my experience at Violet Hotel was exceptional. Whether you are visiting Makkah for a spiritual pilgrimage or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying here. The combination of its prime location, excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic dining options make it a great choice for any traveler.

Hotel was really nice with all 5 star amenities. Room was large and clean. Washroom was big and super clean. Only problem was it's location. Very far from Haram. Shuttle service during last ashra of ramadan was very tricky with no check n balance from Hotel management. Taxi's were super expensive charging 50-80 riyals one way to and from Haram. However you can also take # 10 Makkah bus to Haram which charges only 4 riyals. The bus stop is right next to Hotel and drops at Jabal e Kabah station. Overall Hotel was value for money.

MMichaelIt’s pretty similar to the other hotels in the complex. It differs as it has a more modernist furniture style; whereas the other local hotels have gone for an older-elegant style. The hotel provides a better service than then Four Point as irons etc are available in room. However, breakfast is more than twice as expensive as the nearby hotels, so I did not eat breakfast in Park Inn.

Amazing
GGuest UserThis hotel is next level unreal! The pictures of the rooms don't do it justice, it's way better in reality (at least in my case). We booked three rooms for 5 nights in Jan/ Feb 2025, were located in tower 3 - Al Falak Tower in rooms 708/ 6**/6**. The bathrooms were unbelievable, all stunning white marble with some super fancy design, so so amazing, the shower was so big you could fit like 7 people in there, I have never stayed in such a luxury room before. Ceilings are like 4 metres, really unbelievable. The colour palette for the room was muted greys and pastels, it looked very nice, suited the room and location. One thing that would be useful, can the hotel just install a Japanese bidet instead of a separate one, I think it's a waste installing a standalone bidet and the all-in-one bidet toilet is current technology, so it would be useful compared to the current setup (Toto toilet, etc). Now, the sad bit. The distance from the Haram is advertised as not far, and it isn't. But the reality is it's extremely difficult to enter the haram, because of the crowds, it is just heaving. The police close off the haram to outsiders as soon as the adhaan goes, so you can't enter (be aware), and you'll have to pray outside the boundaries of the haram if you are not inside the area before the adhaan (this may be subject to change, and I cannot confirm how they arrange their opening times etc, please confirm on your own travels). Inside the haram, there is ridiculous construction work going on, all entrances are purposefully blocked, so that huge traffic builds up (I remember 10 years ago in 2014 when I stayed at Bai Al Abraaj, you could just walk into the Ma3taf area of the haram in about 5 minutes, now it is impossible. ). I have no idea what the government is doing, but it seems to intentionally be closing off areas to stop people from entering, which is really a shame. It seems that the purpose is that you rather go to all the shops and malls outside the mall, or pray inside your hotel rather than venture out, this seems the goal of the current administration by closing off all entrances, or causing huge areas to be cordoned off so that getting in easily is impossible. I got so sick of the crowds that i ended up not wanting to go into the haram afterwards (the crowds inside are really next level crazy, they will push and drive wheelchairs up your legs and cut you - happened to me but maybe I was just unlucky). The hotel is exceptional and so is the buffet breakfast/ dinner - breakfast is between 90 - 119riyals, and dinner is about 149 riyals. Food is amazing, but it's sad that most people pile their plates with croissants etc, don't take a bite and throw it away, such a shame. I hope the hotel can have signs up to prevent such ridiculous wastage, or at least give this food to the outside poor people.

AAnonymous UserWe received a free upgrade from the kind hotel concierge lady upon checking in, we were so surprised and pleased by this upgrade. From city view to partial haram view, it was amazing masha Allah! The room was so big! The musollah was gorgeous despite the unexpected size, as I thought it would be bigger. I love the set up of the restaurant buffet, so during breakfast it feels cozy and homey but I wish there would be more variety of food like the other jabal omar hotels that we have stayed before. It could be due to their sustainability efforts so that could contribute to less food waste, I guess? As for the location wise, walking down was easy to the haram however going back by walking up the hill after completion of umrah was quite painful. We would appreciate if the hotel provide a thorough video explanation of the shuttle bus access during check ins. But other than that, we managed to figure out the shuttle bus service and indeed they are very fast *************! We were given late check out as requested ************* so we can maximise our prayers in the masjid as we have a late night flight. Do take note that uber taxis does not pick up from the hotel except for Careem. Hopefully they will open up a mall within the Address Hotel itself so that it will be easy to find lunch and dinner for our meals. We ordered dinner through room service for our first night and despite the food came an hour later, the portion size and the taste was so scrumptious and yummy! Definitely worth more to pay for the room service rather than paying for the meals at the buffet restaurant!
