Great Escape Hotel. We went to Lipe to celebrate my mother's PhD graduation, but a massive storm near Lipe delayed our trip and forced us to enter the back side of the island. Although, the hotel's concierge team knew where to pick us up (along with our stuff). We got a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel. It seemed like our hotel restaurant was the only open place on the beach that day due to the heavy storm, but the food was excellent. Some shops on the walking street opened for us to buy souvenirs. However, our family still had a good time together. When we stayed, our rooms were clean and neat, but there were a lot of leaves in the pool.
Fantastic place, attention to each detail, beautiful hotel territory, well designed room with a unique design, very rich and tasty breakfast buffet. We stayed in Garden Villa close to the beach and it was wonderful. Food and drink in the beach bar are of a good level and reasonable prices, their young coconuts are fantastically fresh. Staff is incredible and try to assist you with everything. Keep in mind that hotel is spread over the hill, we had beach level villa, but there are many that are located upper and you have to climb many stairs. But for a short climbing it’s fine, good for health. Though can be a big minus for older travelers. Definitely I will stay here again on my next visit to Lipe.
Pretty solid I guess, we stayed in the little villas between the restaurant and the pool. They were generally clean and quiet, staff was nice enough but not overly so. Bigger issues tbh is Koh lipe- it’s supposed to have world class beaches but they are covered end to end with boats all day every day. They only want to avoid it is north near Irene and the maintain area, or to take a little boat to some nearby beach. This place is good enough if you’re going to lipe though.
One of the best locations, right by the beach, pier, walking street. I booked pool access. It's excellent and the best choice. It feels like an Oasis. Room is big, amenities is excellent. Warm water is good and strong. Air-conditioned is perfect, cool and no smell. Free bottles of water. Service is excellent!! Breakfast is various of choices and impressive.
Cons: Bathroom has a smell of the bad water smells every day. Some of the maids, sweeping the dust at the balcony directly to the swimming pool. Unfortunately, i couldn't record the video in time, because I was inside the swimming pool & saw it by my eyes. I had complained it already to the reception when we checked out. Hope, they will be seriously about it.
Anyway, sadly, the reviews allowed only pictures, I had the video more than pictures.
We had a fantastic stay at the Resort which was very conveniently located close to the jetty landing. Being situated at the end of the Sunset Beach, it was less busy and expose to the general public, making it rather private. We had to change the room the first day due to a plumbing issue in one of our rooms. The resort was also very accommodating in changing the 2nd room to a ground floor unit as I’d suffered a knee injury prior to the holiday. The daily buffet breakfast had wide choices and something to look forward to even after 4 nights. Kudos to the ever helpful receptionists and Boy who was super helpful and informative. Will definitely be a choice of stay again.
Nice hotel, good atmosphere, clean rooms, cool air, delicious breakfast, with a variety of choices. The hotel is located near Mu Ko Petra National Park.
