Charming and peaceful stay just a short walk from Luang Prabang’s night market. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are warm and helpful, and the quiet location is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
I thought I was staying in a temple when I first entered. I felt at ease when I arrived at the small courtyard. The boss is from Sichuan and is very welcoming. The facilities are similar to those of domestic homestays. I heard from the boss that they were all brought from China. The small courtyard is very cozy and the surrounding environment is also very good. It is convenient to eat and drink around this hotel. There are also massages, about 40 per hour. The Laotian girl is very hardworking
A boutique hotel renovated from an old house with brand new facilities.
Just across the road from the door is the Mekong River, and it takes 5 minutes to walk to the Foreigner Street. The Royal Palace Museum, Xiangtong Temple, Mount Phu Si, and the night market in the city are all within 10-15 minutes on foot. There are also many popular restaurants around, which is very convenient for travel. The hotel provides free bicycles, and it is also very good to have a city bicycle.
The front desk brother is polite and enthusiastic, and communicates in English. Although it has been open for a short time and is not familiar with some business, he is very dedicated. He helps to book chartered cars, airport shuttles, and restaurants, and also helps to repair bicycles abandoned on the road🚲
The room is not big, but the double bed is 1.2m (most of the double beds in other hotels are 0.8-0.9m). If you have to wash your clothes by hand every day, drying them is a problem
Breakfast is at Joma cafe (a local chain cafe) on the underground floor of the building. You can choose a different breakfast set on memu every day with your ticket. The dining time is relatively flexible, from 6:30 to 10:00 in the morning. If you don’t have time to eat, you can also take it away.
The 3-day stay in Luang Prabang was very comfortable. The room that was not facing the main street was very quiet. I slept until the rooster in the neighbor's house crowed to remind you that it was time to give alms, haha

There are constructions next door and place is noisy during the day and water supply was interrupted. I have to move to Golden Lotus hotel nearby to stay one the first of the three days stay. The room which suppose to have a cliff view is now blocked by the construction next door.

The environment of hotels in the old town is relatively old, but this one is really very clean. The cleaning lady cleans it more carefully than her own home. At this price, it is the first choice in the old town. The young couple who own the B&B are also very friendly. They helped to carpool to the waterfall and even invited me to have dinner with them on the first day (it was delicious, and they are cooking experts~). As long as you ask, they will tell you everything. If you come to Laos for the first time, choosing this place as your first stop will make you feel very at ease~
The location of the hotel is relatively perfect. It is very close to the night market and the morning market (not too close, otherwise it will be noisy). You don’t need to take a tuk-tuk when going out. You can walk everywhere. Anyway, I spent three days in Luang Prabang and didn't take a tutu. When you walk to the hotel intersection, you will see one of the routes for giving alms. The glutinous rice used for giving alms is sold on the roadside. The other side of the intersection is the Mekong River. The river water is yellow and ugly during the day, but once the sunset, my God, it feels like a movie. Walking along the river, there are restaurants everywhere, and the prices are very affordable. Just close your eyes and choose~
The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the minivan I took when I came here dropped me off at the wrong intersection. I dragged my luggage under the scorching sun and looked for the hotel for more than 10 minutes (I didn't buy a sim card in advance)

Stayed for more than 10 days, quite a good hotel, the front desk boss is very beautiful
Facilities: very convenient, go out is foreigner street
Hygienic: clean and tidy and comfortable
Environment: Absolutely relaxing resort
Service: Breakfast is full, watching the Mekong River scenery, eating and chatting
I had a very comfortable time in this place. What amazed me the most was the service provided by the host. He offered me a bigger room than the one I booked, then in the evening took me to the downtown and back by scooter (I didn’t want to walk in the dark on my first night), and in the morning he took me to a bike rental and helped to get the best deal. Very kind and friendly! The room was great, spacious and quiet, well-maintained and clean. I also could do my laundry for free, and dry my clothes at the backyard. The location is tad remote from the downtown but I preferred it this way, tranquil and more local. Also, there’s an amazing pizza place on the same street, you have to check it out! Wishing the best of luck to the owners!
The boss is Chinese and is from Harbin, Northeast China. The receptionist is warm and welcoming. The rooms are hygienic and have 1.5-meter beds. The price-performance ratio is very high. The independent building is quiet and the windows are green. It is especially suitable for Chinese people to stay. The hotel is located right between the city center and Guanxi Falls (we walked 3.5 kilometers from the city center to the hotel). The boss happened to have electric cars for rent, so we rented two and traveled around the whole place. The city is so touching. Then book a car to go to Guanxi Falls, which is 30 kilometers away and very convenient.
The overall environment is OK, but when I called to book a room, no one spoke Chinese.

CChicdeshitouniuOverall, good value for money.
I like the wooden style and the warmth and security brought by the locked door of the homestay.
The price is still very good.
The problem is that it is far away from the center, and we rely on bamboo bridges during dry seasons. After the bamboo bridges are gone, we mainly look at the feeder boats. The boats leave very late in the morning, and taxis in Laos are very expensive, which is always inconvenient. It doesn't matter if you rent a car.
The room is small, but the hygiene is good.
Bedding was torn. Bathroom shower and toilet cannot be separated.
GGuest UserWe had a really wonderful stay at Thongbay Guesthouse. Our hosts could not have been more helpful - straight away they offered us an upgrade to a ‘river view’ bungalow as they thought the others might be too busy for us with other families staying. They also made sure we had everything we needed with regards to transport into town and use of swimming pool. Although the guesthouse was a little far from town, they provided free transport in the day and evening which was amazing. It was also possible to walk to town if you really wanted! We thoroughly enjoyed the food served in the restaurant, which we thought was reasonably priced. The bungalows themselves are well cared for and rustic - fantastic value for money. Would recommend staying here for a trip to Luang Prabang.

BBeijingxuxiakeFacilities: Rich breakfast, the room is on the second floor, you need to go up the stairs, but it's not a big problem.
Hygiene: Although the room is small, it is very clean and cleaned every day.
Environment: It takes a while to get to the main attractions, but the riverside scenery is very good.
Service: The staff are very good and serve with a smile.
GGuest UserThe quadruple room we booked was actually on the entire first floor. Except for the lack of lighting in the bathroom, everything else was great. The location of the B&B is also very good, in a small alley next to the Mekong River, very quiet. It's right next to the Grand Palace, just a three-minute walk away. There is a night market on the street in front of the Grand Palace. Opposite the entrance of the Grand Palace is the entrance to Puxi Mountain. Maifo Temple next to the Grand Palace has alms from 5:30 to 6 o'clock in the morning. There is also a morning market to visit in the morning. It’s very convenient to go anywhere. It’s a very, very recommended hotel. The only drawback is that there are people raising chickens next to us, and the roosters will crow in the morning, but we have a good sleep and will not be disturbed by these.

PPeterKA very nice location for walking anywhere in the old city with lots of shops and restaurants very near. The room is very large with a ceiling fan and strong ac. The small refrigerator was also nice. Didn’t try the ancient tv but the WiFi was good. As some others have mentioned the outside noise like animals and people sounds come into the room but it didn’t disturb my sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast views are amazing. The food was a small buffet that changed one of the main dishes every day so you won’t get too bored. A very nice choice and a great value. I would definitely stay again next time.

GGuest UserA pleasant place to stay within walking proximity of attractions, markets, shops and restaurants.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive.
I was about to stay longer but the owner inflated the price of the room I was staying and so did Trip.com.
I opted to leave.

AAnonymous UserPros : 1. Staff friendly 2. Location nearby Num Khan River (a small river connecting with Mae Khong River), really quiet and good to rest. 3. Room with balcony make me feeling clam.
Cons : 1. BF is very small (2 pieces of pancake, 3 egg menu, French toasted, small pieces of fruits, cafe) even you can demand more, there are none of salad, meat e.g. local fish, chicken, etc.) or protein dish. 2. Location 2 km far from the sight seeing area (not recommend to walk during day as Sun light is very hot and strong)
GGuest UserWe loved our stay here !
The Guesthouse is an old wooden building with a lot of character and charm. The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful, and they spoke good English which helped a lot.
There is a nice communal balcony that we enjoyed spending time on, with free cold water, hot water, and tea & coffee.
We were also able to book a motorbike rental & organise our transport to the train station via the guesthouse which was also really helpful.
We highly recommend this place !
