Nice accommodation in a private house. The access code for the front door and the room door had to be requested over the phone. Since I had not yet activated a New Zealand SIM card, I drove to a coffee house that was open on Sunday and asked the employee to call the number provided on his phone.

CCalifornia JeanWe loved our stay at the Hahei Beach Resort! The room was lovely, complete with a private deck looking onto trees where the birds love to share their joie de vivre. Great beach location, wonderful for swimming and walking, fantastic hike up the hill to the lookout. The resort is like a club - very friendly, with camping facilities and a central area with a burger shop, pizza joint, and bar. The pizzas were amazing!!! Hahei town is an easy walk from the resort. Getting out of Hahei to see other Coromandel Peninsula sites requires a bit of a drive, but I think that keeps the town mellow. We would go back in a heartbeat.
AAnonymous UserI booked a Cabin with Kitchen, It did not mention, the Shower and toilet are shared.
When I take the option in Trip.com, The rest of Cabin did mention shared Bathroom and Toilet, Mine did not mention it was shared.
The staff told me to upgrade it to other Carbin with Own bathroom. I said, it should not be a upgrade, it should included. I said : May I talk to the manager? She said, results will be the same.
If it is a shared Bathroom, it should state in decription.
Other than this, everything is fine and good.
TTravelerSGWe had a wonderful, quiet & undisturbed stay at the Anglers Lodge. The place is tranquil and was not crowded, so we really enjoyed the spacious grounds of the Lodge. The communal kitchen and bathroom facilities were super clean. Overall very well maintained. The pool and games room were much fun for the children. We did fishing at the bay right outside the Lodge. There is minimum 15-20min drive out from the Lodge to Coromandel and the Peninsula.
GGuest UserA good first stop over for our campervan trip as it is 1hr away from auckland airport. We checked in after opening hours (they close pretty early) but we could easily find our way and the check in instructions were clear and easy.
Plenty of flies attracted to light at the campsite. Our camper was filled with flies and spent a long time chasing them away. So do be careful when turning on the lights when moving in and out of the camper.
GGuest UserRight next to Tomo Bar, the location is very convenient. However, all rooms are built on the mountain, you have to take the stairs to your own room, and if you have a lot of shopkeepers, you will help with your luggage. The store is a very amiable and enthusiastic couple, will give travel advice, will also greet everyone warmly, breakfast is great and very home away from home experience. Going to play cave rafting will also provide towels to us, although Watomo is small, but the human touch is very strong. Next time I come to play, I will stay for a long time ~ Recommend the meal at Tomo restaurant next to it, great!
GGuest UserNice place. We were close to the toilets/kitchen so not so much walking. 👌🏻 There wasn't a lot of people around so no loud noises and good access to amenities without having to wait. We had our own parking spot right in front of our door as well, which is nice.
NNickSimple but nicely appointed chalet style rooms. Only stayed one night but it was comfortable and convenient. A few minutes drive into Cambridge, which is an unexpectedly charming country town with very good restaurants. Highly recommend the smokehouse.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the view spreading in front of me was the best. It looks beautiful to climb the Asahi from the room.
Breakfast was delicious.
Jjuan2jayThe scenery is unique! The eldest brother is also very enthusiastic ~ everything is great! Suitable for bringing children to play ~ swimming pool, it will be very comfortable in summer ~ the surrounding is quiet. If you go, it is recommended to bring more food up the mountain ~ the experience is better
ZZPpingThe room is large, a big bed, a small bed, kitchen utensils are complete, the landlord prepared a complete breakfast; the green eyes outside the house are very suitable for families who like nature to live in, more than 10 kilometers away from the surrounding town, it is recommended to buy food in advance, make dinner in person, and spend a good night.
