It was possible to transform a two century old granite house into a place where the reception area, the dining room, the kitchen, the bar and the living room can be found, maintaining the original structure of the house. A new building was added next to it where the cozy, comfortable bedrooms are located.
The surroundings of this small, family business farm (vale Martinho) are fantastic: a vast, beautiful forest area which is embraced by two rivers, Dão and Mondego, two historic cities at an half an hour drive away, Viseu and Coimbra, and two of the largest mountains of Portugal, Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo, are nearby.
You can also find the Ecopista (an ecological path) which leads you in-between mounts and valleys where the view unique and where you can go for a bike ride using the bicycles you rent at the farm.
Here you can rest and enjoy breakfast made of regional products, some of them raised at the farm.
Each room is equipped with its own bathroom and has a balcony.
Extra bed, crib, bar service, massage service (available by appointment), hydro massage (available by appointment), bicycle renting, small library, music, internet access, Tv and space to host events.

Great
GGuest UserBeatiful house with nice comfortable rooms, a super nice living room for spending the evening . Good breakfast and a nice, clean pool. Big garden with grapes and olive trees, kiwi and qrapes on top of the parking lot. Enough parking space. Definitely worth a visit during your douro valley tour. Some nice restaurants to visit in the small towns nearby. Tasty wine from own production and very friendly owners
