Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex located just steps from the slopes and Snowshoe Village. Parking is free and easy for our guests with a private parking lot which is staffed and secured. Walk out of the building and you are right at the top of the high-speed Ballhooter Lift – you can’t find a more convenient place to stay for easy slope access! If you have kids the indoor play area is right outside of the door. The main lobby includes The Mountain Grind (open 5 days a week (closed Tues/Wed.), 8-11 am (hoping to extend hours with good traffic)- includes quality coffee, hot chocolate, juices, hot breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. The fireplace atrium in the central part of the complex is a relaxing place to get together with friends after a busy day on the mountain. Other atrium areas of the complex have a video arcade, exercise equipment, a movie night area, and a kid’s play structure. There are also vending machines (with credit card readers) throughout including 4 Coca-Cola machines, 2 Pepsi machines, and 2 snack machines. The lower level of the complex houses The Basin (located in the old Comedy Cellar) that offers quick and easy lunch options, Al Dente Ristorante (opening shortly before Christmas) that offers Italian favorites for dinner, Snowshoe's Pre-Ski Program, and conference facilities (seasonally open). Mountain Lodge 174 is a one-bedroom mountain view unit, located on the main floor. Come right in the building from the parking lot and the condo is right around the corner. No stairs or elevators needed. The condo has a gorgeous views of Shavers Lake and the Mountain Lodge Lawn. The Mountain Lodge Lawn is a viewing area for the new teaching terrain for the Snowshoe's Pre-Ski program. Our condo is east facing; therefore, guest are able to see their children from our unit if they are participating in the pre-ski program. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in - silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes, range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator with pull out freezer with ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, and more. The living room has a sleeper sofa and recliner with a wall mounted tv and mountain views. A portable A/C unit is available in the summer. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with quality bedding and wall mounted tv. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo and vanity. Official check-in time is 5:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM - these times are set and managed by the on-site building management. This 2 bedroom Allegheny Springs Penthouse unit at Snowshoe may have the most Spectacular views of any place on the mountain. Allegheny Springs is the premiere location at Snowshoe and includes access to heated private pool and hot tub. There is a 24-hr concierge at the front desk to make check in and luggage easy. This penthouse unit is one of a kind and is located on the slope side of the building with high ceilings, larger square footage (than other 2 bedroom Allegheny units), and has some of the most breathtaking views on the mountain. Each Bedroom contains two queen beds and an attached en suite bathroom. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room as well. In total there are 5 Queen beds in the unit. There is a full kitchen with cookware, plates and utensils provided. A Keurig Duo coffee maker allows you to brew a single cup or your own ground coffee in a pot. The unit comes with two ski lockers (you can also store your mountain bikes in the locker room) and the slopes are immediately adjacent to the building. Go for a few runs, pop your skis in the convenient ski locker, relax in the hot tub or heated pool and then hit the slopes again. Both of the bedrooms and the living room are equipped with flat screen TV's, with lots of high definition channels and premium channels included in the lineup.The kitchen is well stocked and includes a crock-pot, waffle maker, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and Keurig. There is not a dining room table, just the bar with stools and a coffee table that rises up to add four extra places to sit and eat.There are two full bathrooms with a combination tub/shower in each.The condo has a built-in ski rack with lots of extra hooks.We have a washer/dryer located in the condo along with a boot dryer. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located down the hall by the elevator for larger loads.Just a reminder...this is a mountain condo, and it does NOT have air-conditioning. There are several box fans provided. Split Rock Pools and hot tubs are right next door. You must pay an additional daily fee to access this amenity.Mountain Lodge has its own security-guarded parking lot for Mountain Lodge guests. Snowshoe is in the middle of nowhere. Plan ahead and bring anything you might need. There is a small general store a short walk across the parking lot, where you will be able to purchase some groceries. There is a Dollar General at the bottom of the Snowshoe Mountain about 10 to 15 minute drive. The full size grocery store and liquor store is a little over 30 minutes away from Mountain Lodge in Marlinton. Cell service is limited due to the mountainous terrain. AT&T is the best service provider. Verizon service is limited in the area, but generally available in the village.The Lodge offers a spacious lobby with a large stone fireplace that is a perfect location for family fun. ML features a skating rink with artificial ice in the atrium area; a game room offering over 30 video games and amusements and a children's play area. Tickets for ice skating and the playground can be purchased online or at the front desk.The guest service desk is open 24 hours in season to serve you with, retail items, and area information.Mountain Lodge Guests are strictly prohibited from having animals of any kind in Mountain Lodge.Smoking, vaping, any tobacco products or marijuana are strictly prohibited anywhere in Mountain Lodge or within 25 feet of the building. This includes no smoking vaping or marijuana on the decks. Bikes are not allowed in the building. Storage for bikes is available in the shed in our parking lot.
