1. It’s conveniently located near the Ubud Palace, which is a great advantage.
2. The hostel’s courtyard and architectural style are quite charming, and the staff member who greeted me was smart and really knew how to provide excellent service.
3. The curtains are too short and not wide enough, which often compromises privacy. This is something that could be improved.
4. There’s no space or facilities for doing laundry, not even plastic basins. If these were available, it might attract more guests, and I would likely stay longer as well.

I stayed for two nights and think it’s a nice place to stay.
The pool is nice. The room is ok. There’s only one type of electricity outlet, so make sure you have an adapter. The hotel is surrounded with jungles and trees, so beware of mosquitoes and bugs. Bed is ok, but I’d want more functional racks and drawers by the bed. I personally don’t like the idea of having lockers far from the bed. It feels like you have to open and close the lockers many times. It’s not too far to walk to major attractions and there are restaurants 1-3 km away.

Lovely hostel. We stayed for 2 nights in a double room, very nice room with comfortable bed. Nice hot shower which is a bonus.
The standout of the hostel were the hosts. They were extremely helpful, whether you need a boat to another island, taxis, motorbikes, they couldn’t do more to try and help and make your stay as good as possible, would definitely recommend purely based on them alone. If we ever revisit Nusa Penida I would definitely stay here again just so I could meet the hosts again, honestly they were amazing.

the staff is nice and kind, you can leave your things before and after check-out. The shower is a bit dirty, but within acceptable limits, very large rooms

1, the location of the hostel is not the beach, but you can walk to Dream Beach and Devil's Tears, and you can ride a bike from the hostel 10 minutes away from Ellow Bridge and 18 minutes from Blue Lagoon.
2. The owner runs the hostel directly and guides you very kindly about the activity
3. Breakfast is fruit and sandwiches and coffee
4. Bike rental available at hostel
Great hotel, where the price is lower than the quality! The best thing about this place is the service. The hotel staff helped with all the most important things - booked a ticket for a fastboat to get to them from Bali, and also ordered a taxi back (because there is no gojek and grab on Nusa Penida). Very clean. There are a few controversial decisions (for example, a scattering of stones in the shower, on which it is painful to stand barefoot), and also the water pressure is very weak. But the hospitality and desire to help the staff are 10/10! For a small price for accommodation, they even offer breakfast (modest, but delicious: omelet, pancakes or scrambled eggs) + tea or coffee. The hotel also helps to rent a bike for a small price (75k / day). In general, a big recommendation for a budget tourist!
JJames McGeoughReally amazing staff who tried their best in the face of some adversity. Bali is a special place where all the troubles and tribulations of every day life can instantly dissolve.
Chill House is not perfect and the main problem is … age. It’s been around for ever with no real upgrades. Some guests will love this “old” ambiance but it’s not really for everyone … although rates are lower than other options. Plumbing and hot water were an issue in bathrooms but the staff were very happy and helpful to assist in making room changes.
It’s truly a great experience for some but not so suitable for others. One strong point is the vegetation on the property is great and hides many flaws. The geckos are cute but not for everyone. Some will be agitated by this.
As always, any issues we had were met with gracious smiles and efficient hospitality. The location is a couple of kilometers inland from the beach so it’s relatively quiet yet has some cool restaurants west of the hotel such as TYGR, one of my favorites. With ride hailing services such as Grab and Gojek, getting around is easier than ever.
More regular training should be arranged for staff; they confused the bed cover ends so the bottom (the open part) was where the head should be. Frequently found hair from other guests on newly changed bed sheets.
GGuest UserComfy beds and nice and quiet. Not social but personally wasn’t looking for that. Water refills are good but unfortunately on the floor I was on there was no toilet so it was a little inconvenient
KKok Chern1. attentive & polite staff throughout the stay, daily cleaning your room.
2. great scenery at backyard surrounding, you may view it from balcony or staircase area.
3. suitable for small family residence, got a small pool, but good enough to cool off after a long day travel under hot sun.
4. strategic location, inside road valley at Ubud downtown, accessible to outside main road shops & bus stop for Trans Metro Dewata - KB4 line & Gojek rider meet up point, walkable to Ubud town attraction on North & Monkey Forest at South

NNathanwIt's conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the airport. The entire hostel is very clean, and body wash and hand soap are provided in the bathrooms. The showers are hot, and the wifi is good. There is a very small pool if you want to get wet, too small for any actual swimming. Free tea and coffee is provided, as well as some drinks for purchase.
Check-in could be improved by sending the google form prior to arrival or it could be filled out by them from the information provided when booking. A 100k deposit is also required (or some ID left with them) , so I had to go out and look for an atm in the rain. But they did give me the key and let me leave my bag so I didn't have to carry it around.
All in all, a good value stay.
SSylvie DelsauxThe place is very nice, next to rice fields, away from the bustling city and close to many waterfalls. The environment is therefore super quiet.
This homestay has 3 tents and 1 room (the one with walls on the photos, the 2 others are not available).
The room was clean, even though a little effort could be made in the corner and on the windows.
The kitchen is basic and allows you to cook simple meals.
I was disappointed though that the swimming pool is not accessible despite the attractive showcased photos because it is in a private area (where the 2 other rooms are). Only the small piece of grass and the kitchen are accessible.
Next to that, the staff and owner are friendly and very responsive, providing a very good service.

GGuest UserBathroom amenities were fabulous, but kitchen-wise, we only had teaspoons, tea cups and sauce plates...no tea towel, washing up liquid, cutlery, normal plates. The microwave did not have a glass base so nothing heated up right.
The staff need better communication with residents regarding shuttles, pool facilities, eating facilities etc (ie a simple booklet with information in would have sufficed), also, if an event is on, please let us know what facilities are NOT available ie lunch and dinner service at the beach club, pool facilities at the beach club etc.
AAnonymous UserI booked M Boutique Hostel only for one night on my arrival. The location was great. Lots of establishments around like spa, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, convenience stores, etc. It was easy to spot. There's a pool but was on maintenance when I stayed there. The male shower room was under maintenance as well in the mixed dorm. I liked the most that they gave RFIDs (card and bracelet) for the doors and lockers. Thought the socket in my bed wasnt really working, had to be in a certain angle for it to work. Overall, it was a great stay!
