So far this is the most expansive room I booked, come with front view of Mt Fuji, room 412. However the Mt Fuji view did not command the price tag because unless you stay in for the whole day to enjoy the view of Mt Fuji. View of Mt Fuji can enjoy from all angle. Best of the hotel is the coffee serve which is the best so far, among dozen of hotels. The welcome drink of soft drink also last till 7pm, which is shorter that most of other hotel. May be I am biased, where the hotel have multiple accolades from Rakuten Travel, catering to a lot of local Japanese clients. The public bath also not great, where I have experience much better and real onsen at Ariman Onsen area. Area of improvement: 1. In the level one inner bath, there is a cover for the exhaust fan and is not mounted back after maintenance. 2. At the fifth level bath, there is one washing cubicle just besides the bath with no cover to prevent the person showering water into the bath.

Travelled by express bus from Tokyo, super convenient as bus stop is in the hotel car park. Friendly front staff who spoke English, quick check in process, super nice location with a cute street with shops adjacent. Breakfast was standard, fantastic view of Fuji from restaurant and room. Nice Italian restaurant on ground floor, open long hours. Room was comfortable and had everything needed. If you enjoy roller coasters, then the Fuji-Q park will be a good visit. Free shuttle to the village with the lakes and cable car to view Mt Fuji, although it’s a short 30 minute walk. Very enjoyable one night stay.

We chose this hotel primarily for its fantastic location right next to Fuji-Q Highland – it's only a 5-minute walk away. The overall environment was very pleasant, and we happened to get a mountain view room, which was a nice bonus. The room itself was a decent size, allowing us to comfortably spread out our luggage, unlike the smaller rooms often found in city areas. The rooftop bath was a wonderful feature and contributed to a great overall experience. There's a convenience store nearby, though you'll need to walk a bit to get there. It's also conveniently situated within a 7-8 minute walk of both bus and train stations. All in all, this is an excellent choice, and I highly recommend it for anyone planning to visit Fuji-Q!

We stayed for one night in Bettei Rin Japanese style room with mountain view and dinner. The Japanese lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. There weren’t many shops and restaurants nearby so you might have to take a bus to go around. The bus stop is just next to the hotel. The hotel sells some snacks and cup noodles but I do recommend to buy snacks from minimart near the train station to the hotel. The room has a large window for the impressive lake and fuji view. Even though it was cloudy and raining lightly a whole day, we enjoyed free onsen very much! There are an indoor bath in the 7th floor and an outdoor rooftop bath. We haven’t tried the rooftop one. The dinner was good. Fresh, have some variety, sufficient portion for us. The dining room service was great and welcoming. After checking out, we went to the train station by the hotel’s free shuttle service.

Although Mount Fuji is visible from the window, the weather during my stay was quite poor, which was a real pity. The hotel building was originally a corporate guesthouse for Toyota, featuring a more traditional Japanese onsen ryokan design. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the onsen baths are also of a classic style. The Chinese owner is very welcoming and hospitable. I highly recommend renting the hotel's bicycles and spending half a day cycling around Lake Yamanaka. The room photos in the description are true to life, accurately reflecting what you'll find. The accompanying photos are casual shots I took while circling the lake.

Cleanliness 10/10 The wet and dry area of the bathroom are separate. Everyday they will clean the room unless you decline the cleaning service. Location 10/10 The area is secluded, the place is very private. For someone who doesn’t like crowded places and love peace and quiet, this place is for you. Plus it has a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. It just so sad we only stayed 3days and 2nights, we checked-in late on our first day when Mt. Fuji showed up. We were busy looking for a place to eat since the hotel restaurant was already fully booked for dinner. The next day it rained and Mt. Fuji doesn’t show up until the day we left 😞 I suggest booking early if you want to eat dinner at the hotel since the nearest restaurant is already at the foot of the mountain which is 5-10minutes by car, and around 20-30minutes walk. The hotel provides free shuttle going down until 5:30pm only while until 8:00pm for picking up on yamanakako bus stop. For someone who loves to walk while enjoying the view, it really doesn’t matter but it tends to be dark and might be dangerous to walk at night time since it’s in the mountain side. Overall, I love the location, you won’t actually want to go out when you are in this resort. It has everything you need except hair conditioner 😅 Service 10/10 The staffs are really friendly and easy to talk with. All our requests were granted except booking dinner on our first night since we arrived late, though, the staff is very helpful to give us recommendations where to eat and helping us to book a shuttle. On the day of our check-out, the staff didn’t understand that we reserved the shuttle later that day to go out on the bus stop, but he immediately resolved it without arguing. Amenities 10/10 Amenities is complete but we haven’t used that since some of our members have tattoos and cannot use the sauna and onsen. While some of us are reserved and not used to being naked on the open 😂 Anyway, the rooms are spacious and we had a comfortable stay. We would definitely book this hotel again when we want to stay on a place with the view of Mt. Fuji. And we would love to recommend this place to our friends.

Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the onsen bath though it was man-made spring water. The Japanese breakfast was good too. Unfortunately the Mount Fuji was blocked by clouds during the rainy season. I would recommend the hotel to add a guest laundry room and more wall hooks for hanging clothes in the room. Thank You.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children during a one-night stay in Kawaguchinko in early February. Location: The hotel is reasonably far from Lake Kawaguchinko but I was driving so that was not a problem. However, it gave us a far better view of Mount Fuji. We were blessed that we visited on a day with clear skies and we got a fantastic view of the mountain from the balcony. Cleaniness: Everywhere we went in the hotel was clean, including the Hot Spring. Service:The receptionist was helpful and spoke reasonable English. We asked for a few extra items for our kids that housekeeping didn't bring all correctly. Facilities: We were pleasantly surprised that there was an Onsen in the hotel as we didn't know. It was clean and looked quite new. The breakfast was a little disappointed but it was relatively cheap so I wouldn't complain. Overall: This was a nice hotel at a reasonable cost. i would consider staying here again. The view from the balcony is worth the stay alone.

YYI QUANBooked 2 rooms for 4 and was picked up by a friendly driver at kawaguchiko station. The room was sufficient for two but with big luggages could make it a little bit squeezy. Had a public onsen equipped with many amenities to make one feel fresh. Breakfast buffet was good with a decent variety for food. They also sell dinner buffet which is definitely worth a try. Location was it is right next to lake kawaguchiko with a nice view of Fuji (if it's visible). However to travel to other attractions like fujiq and oshino hakkai is a fair distance, but they offer a morning shuttle service to the station and a evening shuttle service back to the hotel which is very much appreciated

AAshleyLovely property in a great location. You’re slightly more off of the beaten track but the tourist bus stop is right out front of the hotel. Great being right by the lake. Amazing room, massive for just me. There’s no shower in the room just a toilet but the onsen was lovely and you can shower in there. Older property also be aware those with accessibility needs the hotel is up quite a steep slope/numerous stairs and then when inside there’s no lift so I had to carry my luggage up and anyone with mobility issues would struggle as I believe all the rooms are on the first floor and that’s after tackling the way up to the hotel. Staff were lovely, can’t comment on dinner or breakfast but a great traditional ryokan stay.

GGuest UserThe scenery outside the hotel is very beautiful. There is a Family Mart next to it where you can buy food. The hotel dinner is highly recommended. The boss speaks Chinese and communication is very convenient. Although there is no hotel connection, it is very suitable for self-driving tours. You can park in front of the hotel

AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake. Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car. Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there) The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.

GGuest UserFor any Yuru Camp anime fans, if you also are interested in an Onsen experience this is the perfect place. The facilities and staff are amazing! I couldn't believe the size of my room, especially after coming from a business hotel in Tokyo. I thought Deluxe Twin was just the ”deluxe” version of a standard single twin size bed room instead of two twin beds but there are no complaints. Given it's more remote location I was expecting zero English but I was so surprised at how well some of the staff spoke English and had print outs for English speakers. I have to shout out two staff members, Nozomi and Joon Bae's english combined with my limited and grammatically atrocious Japanese they went above and beyond making me understand how everything worked as well as assisting me with my ventures outside of the onsen. They have two e-bikes available for rent which I rode to the next station on the minobu line so I could visit the school that was used in the anime as well as get a taxi to take me to Lake Shibere, from episodes 6 and 7 of season one. It was my first time in Japan, being the only foreigner at the hotel for the two full days, I only visited the baths once however the facilities are amazing and I plan on going back to use the Onsen more.

Vviktor QuekWe like to thank and applaude the staffs and chef that took good care of us during our stay at Hakai Konohanakan. The services and amenities provided were top notch and the staffs were very thoughtful in making sure that we were well taken care of. Not to mention, the omakase is of really good quality and variety. Every day was a new experience with new dishes! Really well done on the chef and staffs part. Although the location maybe abit secluded, we like to appluade the staff effort in offering to arrange a taxi for us to take us to a location. As the bus services here may be a little unreliable, if your itinerary is packed with 3 to 4 places for the day, we recommand to book a chartered services for at least a day so you can go around freely from one end to the other. We were lucky to have a staff that speaks Mandarin but nevertheless, even if the staff can't speak Mandarin or understands English, they take an effort to explain and understand you through translation apps. All in all, we have no regrets in booking and staying here. Would highly recommend to stay here if your itinerary revolves around lake Yamanaka as it is only a 10 minute drive away! Not to mention a step outside and you can see mount fuji!
