"You get the feeling you are in the country as two cows are on the field opposite the hostel. I liked the lady in the reception. They have a bar and play loud music the whole evening which I think is wrong while the spot the hostel is in is in a peaceful area. There a few amazing local little restaurants in the small lanes close to the hostel no need to go to the restaurants on the main road. Breakfast was very nice, scrambled eggs, toast, jam and butter, coffee or tea. Great you get a cubicle with a curtain so you have a little room."
"The host Didi and his wife were very helpful! Explained everything about Langkawi and answered all of our questions. Nice breakfast. Also want to mention strategic location of this Lodge since it’s almost close to everything useful on the island: airport, beaches in the east with some nice restaurants (seafood in particular) and duty free shops as well as beaches in the north (we liked Skull beach very much) and skybridge entertainment. So surely I recommend Ocean Lodge!"
"Great experience in Datai Langkawi. The best resort hotel in Langkawi or in Malaysia i would say. Nice atmosphere if you like to be in a quiet and serene place. Great food and great hospitality. A special shoutout to Hafizam for the guest attending service and Gaurav from the The Dining. Also to the Botanists Ms Ezy. Will come back for sure!"

"Our stay at The St. Regis Langkawi was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel truly special. The butler service was impeccable, assisting with our check-in and ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. We were delighted to receive a suite upgrade, which made our experience even more luxurious.
Breakfast was a highlight, with an excellent à la carte selection and attentive service. The hotel itself offers a serene and peaceful environment, ideal for a relaxing getaway. While the beach does experience low tide with shallow waters at times, it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the resort at all.
Overall, The St. Regis Langkawi exceeded our expectations with its exceptional service, beautiful setting, and luxurious touches. Highly recommended for a tranquil and indulgent retreat! I will be back again!"
"Good basic accommodation no complaints other than the mini fridge in the room was warm ish rather than ice cold and the air on was hit and miss having to keep getting up and changing the settings and turning it back on.
Also had to pay for an ice bucket and glasses to have champagne for valentines NOT GREAT!.
Skipped breakfast so I can't comment but overall a nice pay."
"I recently stayed in one of their Rainforest Chalets, and it was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. Nestled in the lush greenery of the rainforest, the chalet offered a peaceful escape surrounded by nature’s sounds – perfect for unwinding.
The chalet had a warm, rustic charm with a private balcony that opened up to the forest. Inside, it was clean and comfortable, with modern amenities like air conditioning and a spacious bathroom. The wooden floorboards were quite creaky, which was a bit noticeable, especially at night, but it added to the old-world feel of the place.
One small but thoughtful gesture really stood out – a staff member came by to restock the minibar without us even asking, and when he noticed we don’t drink alcohol, he kindly offered to replace the beers with soft drinks instead. That level of attentiveness and flexibility really added a personal touch to our stay.
The resort itself is large and beautifully maintained, with convenient shuttle service to get around. The staff throughout were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend the Rainforest Chalet at Berjaya Resort for anyone looking for a nature-immersed retreat with great service and comfort – just be prepared for a few creaks and quirks that come with staying in the heart of the rainforest."
"The Premier Ocean View Twin Room is really spacious and beautiful, the ocean view is a MUST if you appreciate relaxing chill time at the balcony. There is a big bath tub, a sofa section and a smaller table with a sofa chair for 1 at a corner of the room. Overall I love the stay ! It has two swimming pool, the one at Ground floor for adult and children and the one at roof top for adult. Do check out the rooftop swimming pool, it has a great view. Breakfast is awesome. Service is good too! Ooh and it has direct beach access after the swimming pool section. You can also walk along the beach and head to Hidden Langkawi for a nice dinner / bar."
"I recently stayed at Mercure Hotel Langkawi for 3 days and 2 nights, and once again, it was a fantastic experience! This is my second time staying here, and it’s always my first choice whenever I visit Langkawi.
The room amenities, environment, and overall condition of the hotel were superb. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay truly relaxing.
One area of improvement would be the check-in process, as I had to wait until 4:30 PM for my room to be ready. However, the staff were very apologetic and handled the situation professionally. As a kind gesture, they offered me a room upgrade, which I truly appreciated. It definitely made up for the delay and even got me more excited about my stay.
Well done, Mercure Hotel! Your service and hospitality continue to impress me. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying again in the future."
"I had a really disappointing experience at your hotel, and I feel compelled to share my grievances regarding the front desk service.
Firstly, I needed a razor, which should have been a simple request. However, when I called the front desk, they just hung up on me. I had to make three calls and was eventually transferred to housekeeping before the razor was delivered. It was incredibly frustrating.
Later, I asked the front desk to collect the room service tray from our balcony because we have a lot of small animals, and I was concerned about them getting into the food. The front desk promised to take care of it but never showed up. The next morning, I called four times, and each time the front desk staff assured me that someone would come, but no one ever did. As a result, the birds got into the food and made a mess all over the balcony.
To make matters worse, the water in the shower was dirty and yellow. When the room was cleaned, they forgot to replace one of the bath towels and didn't put out any slippers. To top it all off, the bed sheets were changed twice, but both times they were dirty. It was really disappointing and unacceptable. I expected a much higher level of service from your hotel."
"A very pleasant hotel. It is located in a picturesque bay where there are no waves at all. Spacious rooms, very nice infinity pool. The hotel has a large, very well maintained territory. There is no private beach, but there is a free shuttle several times a day to the nearest beaches. The only hotel in its style on the island of Langkawi. The staff is very pleasant and courteous. The pool, bars and two restaurants are open until late at night.👍"

GGuest UserStayed in a hotel for 3 days. Hotel near the airport, 10-13 minutes drive. Hotel staff is very kind, friendly, helpful. They greet you with few welcome drinks for a few days. Enjoyed large swimming pool with nice greenery view. Beach in 10-15 minutes walking distance. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Hotel looks old. Budget friendly hotel.

AAnonymous UserIt is inconvenient that there is no partition in the shower
At night, a cat and a rat ran around the 2nd floor and screamed, it was scary to go out, but it was not possible to inform the administrator about this, they answered only in the morning, although a number was indicated for communication after hours.
Besides, it's strange - is the hotel really completely unguarded at night, and in case of an emergency, no one will come to the rescue.
After cleaning, everything was OK at first, they stopped leaving towels for the second person, and on the last day they didn't leave any water.
However, the room itself is beautiful and comfortable. But the textiles with permanent stains and shabby, do not match the room level.

PPuteriShaharimanWe stayed at Rebak Island Resort for 4 days 3 nights, one of the best experience we had. I will list the pros n cons -
Pros:
1. They hv free scheduled ferry so u can go to cenang from rebak or vice versa. Make sure to plan ahead
2. So many activities on the island itself- kayak, atv, cycling, pool, beaches, nature walk, yoga, etc (some need to pay)
3. Friendly staff
4. Free buggy service in the resort
5. Serene and peaceful resort
6. Love the BBQ on saturday night (rm90/head)
7. Breakfast was good
Cons :
1. Rebak island is located at southern side of langkawi while most tourist attraction is at the north near tanjung rhu or near town area. Bit far to travel and need to make sure the ferry schedule match since u need to take ferry out from rebak to cenang first
2. Would suggest to go here and just do activities around rebak. We spent only 1 day to visit the mangrove and shop at Billion. The rest we only stay at rebak and join the ATV n kayak there.
3. If you want to go out of rebak, the nearest is Cenang. They hv paragliding there and fire dance at night.
4. While i think kayak and ATV are worth it (rm90/head), other activities by the hotel (cruise, jetski, mangrove, snorkling) are overpriced. You can get it cheaper booking from the locals / klook
5. Very disapointed with their ala carte dinner menu. We ordered thai green curry, tom yam goong, calamari and apple crumble. Tbh it tasted like the ones sell on the street. Not authentic at all and tasted not good. The moment i saw brocolli in my tom yam goong i knew its bad
6. We took the sea view 1 bedroom, quite far from the lobby but still walkable. You can call for buggy if you are lazy to walk
Overall i love it. The best memories we had is the kayak. We were greeted by otters! Apparently their house is just near the island so high chance for you to see otters there!
NNshaufiq98I booked this hotel through Trip.com for a short transit stay and was genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The location is incredibly convenient — just a few minutes from the airport — which made my travel seamless and stress-free. Despite being right next to the airport, the room was surprisingly quiet thanks to effective soundproofing. I had a peaceful and undisturbed night’s rest.
The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the essential amenities provided. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was spotless, and everything was in great condition. What really stood out was the hospitality — the staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. Their warm and professional service made me feel truly welcome.
The breakfast served was also a highlight of the stay. It featured a great mix of local and international options, all fresh and flavorful. A perfect way to start the day before catching a flight.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a reliable and restful stay near the airport. Thanks to Trip.com for making the booking process smooth and hassle-free. I would definitely choose this place again for future trips.
BBelovedAlicia ChoyWe loved the place, near to airport. We booked an apartment facing the sea, we stayed 2 nights, it was spacious, clean & brightly lit. The corridor was bright & clean. Bed was very good & comfortable only the pillows are too soft for us otherwise all are excellent . . Plenty of hangers in wardrobe, the apartment have washing machine which was a plus, stove , oven, & microwave which we didn’t use bcos food was easily accessible near the hotel. Big fridge!. Reception staff was all very friendly & helpful. The hotel porters & 1 elderly man in malay baju kurung that drives the buggy are always very helpful too. 1 minus point was the housekeeping. They forgot to replace new bathrobes for us :) bcos ours was wet. Floor wasn't swept but it was ok, rooms slippers were provided other than these 2 points we were very happy ;) Oh yes, the breakfast buffet spread was wonderful, and varieties to choose from to suits each appetite. Kudos to The Riyaz Lavanya , Langkawi.

GGuest UserWent for a couple trip to Langkawi.
Deliberately chose Vila Sri Kampung as it was in the middle of the Jungle full of nature.
My review will be slightly biased as I am already used to the tropical “happenings” like ants etc. as I am from Singapore.
The stay was amazing as I could literally see the wild dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills right in-front of me across the glass panel.
Pros:
1. Have nature right in-front of your face.
2. Experience nature like literally
3. Aircon works
4. Surprisingly no mosquitoes
5. Hot shower works fully functional
6. TV works with Netflix preloaded
7. Breakfast offered is super awesome. Had the best Roti Cenai (or roti prata in sg term). The Malay style breakfast was top notch. Mango is super sweet and juicy as if you hydrated a pack of 7D mangoes.
Cons:
1. In the middle of nowhere. Definitely rent a car and use google map to guide yourself through the jungle.
2. The owner is pretty much uncontactable on this platform. Please please use watsapp to contact her. Also best to have a Malaysian friend/partner that speaks Malay with Malaysian number so that he/she can contact the owner swiftly so that you can enter the villa upon arrival.
3. Guard dogs if you’re scared of dogs
4. Ants if you’re not used to the tropical norms. To be honest, just follow basic camping ethics: after eating don’t leave wrappers lying around, don’t drop sugar crumbs. Dispose leftovers or wrappers into plastic bags and tie them properly.
5. Shower is functioning but bathtub is not as I was not able to switch water from the shower-head to the bathtub tap.
6. Wild insects like bees entering your villa at night if you on the lights. Just adopt the healthy lifestyle and follow the sun.
This place is definitely for you if you want to experience the jungle first hand and feel like an explorer in the comfort of air-conditioned villa. Great escape from the digital world. This is not a place for you if you’re whiny ass cosmopolitan kid that has never touched grass or have short temper as things are definitely slow.
The resort villa would be a better choice.

GGaileyBeeI recently booked a 4 night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival Syam greeted us from our Grab taxi and was so helpful and took our bags. The check in was easy enough with just the tourist tax to additionally pay. I had requested a Beach Wing room. Syam took us to our bedroom and explained about which water was okay to drink.
The room was huge, lots of space and a balcony. Air con as well as a ceiling fan.
The bathroom was very dated and we did have a few issues which we made do with but the bathroom could have done with some renovations. The shower flooded the whole bathroom due to the cracked and broken ledge separating it, (see photo) there was no shower door so no way of preventing the water leaving the shower. The towels were fluffy and a generous size.
Breakfast had a good selection and they do cook fresh eggs or omelette. The staff everywhere were all extremely welcoming and friendly.
The pool was great and easy to get a sun lounger as so quiet.
The beach again was great, the sea perfect of you had children as very calm and shallow.
Overall a lovely stay but would be nice to have an upgraded bathroom.

MMuraleedharan RI had an amazing experience staying at this beachside resort during my vacation — definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to! The location is stunning, right by the beach and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation was super comfortable and all the facilities were top-notch.
The staff were really friendly and always ready to help with a smile. What I loved the most was how kid-friendly the place was. The hotel organized several fun activities just for children and my kids had a blast participating in them — they were entertained and happy throughout the stay!
The buffet breakfast was another highlight — so many tasty options and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start each day.
A special mention to Mrs. Mary, the tour manager who was incredibly supportive. She helped coordinate all our activities in Langkawi smoothly and made our trip even more enjoyable.
Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Langkawi — it’s perfect for families, couples or even solo travelers looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!
