La Casa Baatsona Apartments

Staff good, but no free breakfast as advertised. THE GOOD: Property was OK, Beds comfortable enough. Helpful staff. THE BAD: Finishes were poor, but trades seem to be inexperienced. Toilet kept sticking so had to lift lid to release stick float so the toilet would flush. Pieces of paper shoved around gaps in door/ windows. We went for this hotel cause it came with free breakfast but were told our breakfast was not free even though it said so on our booking which we showed them. Air conditioner filters were filthy dirty, see pictures. So we had to clean these. Kitchen a bit under equiped, Some cupboards dirty Had to buy own soap and towels. Room only serviced once in 4 days. OPTION WE USED WHEN BACK IN ACCRA: We went to Erata hotel on way out and had much bigger rooms with pool facilities and free buffet breakfast and shuttles for the same price. Closer to Accra mall, water park, airport etc. The rooms were also serviced & cleaned daily. It appeared that the Ghana government also used this hotel as did many businesses. FINAL SAY: Whilst the Staff were pleasant, it appeared that the owner had to be contacted by phone if there was a problem and was not hands on to make decisions or talk to guests. Also this one was further out than the Erata that we stayed in on way back so technically it should have been cheaper. Especially since there was less facilities and services. So we felt let down by the owner and won't be back. We should have been reimbursed for breakfast also.

This was a great place to stay, the apartment was large, clean, comfortable and well kept. We felt safe. We shared a two bedroom suite with my sister and her husband. The place is in a residential area, so it gives you a real feel for Ghana. The place is easily accessible to the airport, and the rest of Accra. The service was excellent. Anita the manager, was very helpful in helping us get around the city, giving suggestions for what to see while in Accra and surrounding areas. She was very attentive to our needs in the apartment. All the staff were very attentive as well. What was truly amazing was the food in the adjoining restaurant. Breakfast was included with the room, but you will want to eat lunch and dinner there as well. Overall, they were the kindest and most friendly host we have had in a very long time. We truly felt at home. The price was also very reasonable.

The accomodation was spacious with big rooms and the name La Casa meaning The House matched what was available in the house as it made us feel like being at home. There was alot of facilities which made the trip comfortable. The owner Ms. Anita was super nice nd friendly and helped us in every ways she could. There location was easily accessible to other part of town. People knew us when we walk around which made us feel part of the comunity. Highly recommended for a family vacation

What a cute and comfortable place! La Casa is a perfect hideaway from the hustle and bustle. The apartment was clean, spacious and had a large kitchen. We didn't cook because we ordered from the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious. My husband is in love with the Jollof and grilled tilapia. He said it was the best he had eaten on our trip. The staff were helpful and attentive. We will be back next year.

Received professional service from the beginning - booking confirmation was efficient, and questions about the facilities were promptly answered. Upon arrival at the hotel, everything went smoothly and with delight from the management team. Great layout of the room, spacious for a family of four, from the size of bedrooms, toilet, kitchen and the extra balcony space. The experience felt like home to home with all the necessary amenities, and whatever was needed was provided without any stress or delays. The food was terrific, with fantastic service and customer delivery. The food ordered came on time, and if there were any delays, we were notified and promised it would be delivered, which was true to their word. Overall, the whole stay was delightful, with the best customer service. The only minor thing I will change slightly is the water temperature (it needs good regulation with hot and cold). The positive reviews about La Casa are absolutely true! I spent 6 nights at La Casa with three children and it truly felt like home. Firstly, the incredible customer service from Ms Anita. From the moment we made our enquiry till checkout, she remained professional, courteous and super helpful. She went above the usual to ensure we were comfortable. The same goes for the staff at La Casa- security, cleaning team, restaurant staff. I want to say a big thank you to Ms Anita and her team for making my daughters’ birthday a truly special day by decorating our room with balloons and cake! The apartment was nicely decorated and super clean. Towels, soap, bed linen, kitchen utensils, hangers etc were all provided. Our apartment had a washing machine, iron/ironing board, dryer, microwave, kettle! Everything really. I must commend the quality of the sheets and duvet! The Air conditioners worked really well! Another bonus is the generous size of the bed! The main bedroom could fit my kids and I comfortably! The location is fantastic as well. The area felt safe, quiet and neat. We were able to enjoy evening walks with no issues. La Casa is close to nice places like Melcom mall. We were able to visit places like Accra mall, Osu castle, Labadi beach etc easily using local taxi services recommended by Ms Anita. I got my hair done with the salon across the apartment. I also bought a few snacks from the supermarket next door. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant and daily breakfast. The breakfast was super yummy! The menu was robust with many options. The prices are also super affordable. The La Casa Tilapia fish was a truly spectacular meal! We couldn’t finish at a go! The Wi-Fi worked extremely well during our stay as well as the cable TV. Electricity was stable and we enjoyed constant clean water as well. Daily cleaning services (expect Sundays) also made our stay more enjoyable. We were informed about 2 super brave dogs that helped keep us extra safe at night! We are indeed grateful for their service ☺️ In all, no regrets. We can’t wait to be back!
