Would we return? If the program of planned upgrades continues then yes, otherwise no for a five star holiday. We had one of the new (for 2025) rooms with private pool. We had a separate bathroom with a solid door so, unlike other reviews, our bathroom had excellent privacy. We were extremely pleased to find our balcony and pool had sun from mid-day until 6pm so this is where we spent our afternoons. There was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower and hand wash at the sink. I have mid length hair and found the products worked for me. There is a hair dryer provided which was adequate for me albeit I only used it once. It was not hard wired in so you could move it, useful to ensure you could use a mirror. The room was sold as a suite. As you walked in, wardrobes were on the right and bathroom on the left. The wardrobes were spacious with plenty of good hangers. The bathroom had a toilet, single sink and walk in shower. Plenty of bathroom storage too. Towel change on request. There was a fridge containing a large bottle of still water, a kettle with various tea bags and a coffee machine with number of pods supplied. The next area had two single beds (made up as beds note these were not sofas) before entering the main area with a large double bed, dressing table and chair over which was a large TV, another chair and one bedside table (one each side of the bed would have been helpful). The TV had the ability to log into your Netflix account which meant we had good viewing choices. The room was still being provided with final touches, eg decorative cushions for the two single beds and an extra table for the balcony were added on our last couple of days. We requested a bin for the main room as the small bathroom one was not sufficient for every day rubbish. This was provided upon request. The safe was easy to use. The air con was excellent and there was a fan above the main bed if you needed it. The balcony had four chairs, large table, another small table and two sun loungers. A small clothes dryer was also provided. The new pool, closest to our room was lovely. The surrounding tiles were extremely slippery when wet and we saw many people (adults and kids) slip and fall. That said, it was easy to enter by steps with a hand rail. There was also a children’s pool and a kids pool with cover providing shade. There were plenty of sun beds. The pool bar here was always busy. The lady collecting the used glasses, was blinkered and often ignored empty cups. The adult only pool needs repair. So many tiles had come off, people were writing messages with these ie “fix me”. Apart from this maintenance need, this pool was lovely and much quieter than the others. The need for this level of maintenance does not show case a five star hotel. As we had no children, we didn’t use the slide pool or children/family pool but they were busy and people were having fun when we walked by. Reception and Reception bar area was lovely a
