We stayed at this hotel for the second time, this time in a higher room category than before – but unfortunately, the room was worse. The room was very noisy, and the bathroom smelled like sewage. We informed the reception about the noise and mentioned that during our last stay in the lower category room, we did not have this issue. No solution was offered – we were simply told to buy earplugs at the kiosk. It honestly feels like other guests are standing right inside the room because you can hear everything. The service was disappointing as well. At the Belverde Bar, you are not served even though it should be table service. The staff seems unwilling to work, and tables are not cleared even during quiet times of the day. Breakfast in the main restaurant was not enjoyable – coffee is often cold (if it even arrives at all). At the beach, drink orders are not delivered or are brought warm. Housekeeping was poor. The room was not properly cleaned, and leftover food from the previous day often stayed in the room unless we handed it directly to the cleaners, who then just left it in the hallway. The food selection was limited, often cold, and plates were frequently dirty. In the evenings, drinks usually arrived after we had already finished eating. The restaurant floor was often very dirty as well. Overall, this stay was quite disappointing, especially compared to our first visit. We expected much more from a hotel of this category.

We think this is our 10th stay at Marbella Corfu, and every time it gets more special. People may think it’s strange to visit the same place every year, but there is something about this place we just cannot explain. The hotel, facilities, pools, beach, views and food are all truly amazing, and I could talk about them forever, but what makes this place so amazing is the staff. Everyone you interact with is professional, kind and helpful. There are so many we could name, such as Konstantina in Kuzina, or the host of the Deck Bar & Grill, any of the waiters, bar staff and Guest Relations, and chefs Alexandros, Arthur and Adonia. However, a particularly huge shout-out goes to Nickey Kosma (Kuzina/Kum Kuat). It’s hard to believe that one person can make a difference to your holiday, but the attentiveness, kindness and above-and-beyond approach from Nickey is truly amazing - she is a really special person who makes our holiday so amazing. Marbella are so lucky to have her. And of course, that aside - every meal we eat is 5*. Suffering with a severe peanut allergy, eating out can be hard, and especially holidays - but this is the place where I am safe to eat whatever I want (and a lot of it 😊), and truly relax knowing I’m safe. The drinks and cocktails are perfect, with every option imaginable and generous servings. We were hugely lucky to be upgraded to a Bungalow room, which is a beautiful room with the most stunning views. We were a whole 14 steps away from the pools and the pool bar, and a short garden walk away from the beach. We truly love this hotel and the people, and are already planning next year.

We have just had our holiday here at this hotel, and honestly this place is so great. The staff who work here make this hotel the best, without them it would not be the same. Everybody goes above and beyond to please and accommodate you. Thank you to you all, but here are some mentions who really did make a difference to our stay here. We couldn't say it much better than Chloe Patricia H. We had a great holiday and hope to return (family of 5, kids 12, 10 and 6)! Thank you to Nikos and the whole team. Summary from us: - It is busy, but not overcrowded. It is full of families and has a happy vibe. --＞ Don't go if you don't like being around young children. There are plenty of adult-only places in Corfu you will be less grumpy at - Staff are always happy to help and actually look like they enjoy being there --＞ Kids activities were good (we did robotics and pottery) --＞ We never left the kids at the Kids Club so cannot comment on that aspect - Pools are great. No need for them to be heated, they are very refreshing --＞ Lack of a proper beach worried us before we travelled. It needn't so as the sandy decking area was good and being able to jump straight in to the water and swim with the fish was great! - Food was overall, lovely --＞ A la carte restaurants were delicious (we did Kum Kuat and Celeste) --＞ Taverna restaurant in Paxinos was great. It was a set menu but the lady did say we could have other things if we wanted. Very friendly and great to be able to eat away from the restaurant --＞ Buffet choices were plentiful. We found some of the meats dry, but then they are left under hot lights, so grab them when they are just put out. --＞ There are plenty of wasps around. They are not aggressive and if you leave them be they leave you alone. If you are going to wave at them frantically, expect it to not end well. At the poolside, cover your sweet drinks and food when not in use. - Getting around was pretty easy --＞ There are a fair few steps, but I was grateful for the exercise and burning some calories given all the food and drink being consumed! --＞ It takes about 5 minutes to get from the beach at the bottom to the water slides at the top - at a brisk walk, so can't really complain Shout outs to the lovely staff lady who worked in Kuzina and ran the Wine Tasting, as well as all the animation team!

Nice hotel, but not suitable for guests with older children or without children! The noise and children in the restaurant are unbearable! Mainly English guests who, together with their children, are rude and unacceptable! Food is scattered all over the floor under the tables! The staff has understandably given up! Too many ill-mannered guests! Management really needs to come up with a solution, otherwise not recommended!

Firstly I wanted to write a review as a family of five who spend a pretty penny every year on a family holiday I always research and look at reviews. I like a nice hotel with good food - I don’t drink alcohol but my husband says the drinks are all good premium quality. We travelled with our three children 2,5 and 8. Upon arrival I was worried as some of the reviews seemed like we had booked a 3* in Benidorm. Do not panic! This is a beautiful hotel with exceptional views and the grounds offer a modern take on Greek traditional style. If you don't have kids do not book during school holidays. Save us poor parents from the moaning and looks of disgust. The hotel offers a huge water park so families will book If you want a relaxing child free holiday then don’t moan when you come here. It’s brilliant for children but very busy during school holidays sometimes it can feel slightly overcrowded. Wasps I won’t lie they are everywhere and swarm as soon as you eat or drink anything other than water outside. However what I will say is they seem very calm and a quick wave of the hand sends them away. I haven’t seen or heard of anyone being stung so it’s just a case of getting used to it. Top tip the Spanish baby fragrance nenuco will deter them they don’t like the smell and it also protects from mosquitoes. Food is exceptionally good and the fact you get 3 al a carte bookings and a dine out option per 7 night stay is amazing. We recently stayed in a luxury hotel in Turkey (Regnum) that cost double the price of this holiday and they didn’t even do this. The dine out option is a trip to a local restaurant in the area we went to a beautiful taverna on the beach and it was amazing with huge portions. We don’t have dietary requirements but at every meal even snack you are asked if you have any so they are very welcome to cater to all needs. It’s a slow pace at the Marbella which can take some getting used to especially if you visit Turkey or Dubai regularly. There isn’t as much going on it is very relaxed which for us was a welcome change. The hotel offers free water sports activities including kayaks paddle boards and peddlos. You can also take a boat trip which is included in the trip. Worth noting the beach is a decked platform children cannot paddle as it is a drop into the sea however they have a man made sandy area that you can build sandcastles on. Lots of fish so snorkelling Is brilliant from the water. Overall I think for the money you are getting a lot of bang for your buck as the saying goes. Just be aware it’s a small hotel so can feel very busy and a little overcrowded during peak times. The only criticism I have is the cleaning of restaurants could be quicker and better the tables take a while to be clean and due to a lot of children the floors can become quite dirty.
