Tri is one of the most wonderful hotels which I have stayed at, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The hotel design is stunning, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the bedrooms are spacious, fitted to a high standard, and benefit from gorgeous views.I only wish that I could have stayed longer!

I had the most incredible experience at Tri Koggala for my birthday! The resort is a true hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery and the serene beauty of Koggala Lake – pure paradise. The food was absolutely amazing, and the entire staff, from the chef to the management, were incredibly friendly and attentive. They even surprised me with beautiful birthday decorations and a candlelight dinner, making the celebration truly special. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Thilina, who ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. Whatever we requested, the team made it happen with a smile. If you’re looking for peace, luxury, and genuine hospitality, this is the place. I can't recommend Tri Koggala enough – I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

We had an amazing experience at teh Tri, which is located at right at the beautiful Koggala Lake. The views are just breathtaking and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Charming Stay at Tri Koggala with a Delightful High Tea Had a wonderful stay at Tri Koggala, a peaceful and beautifully designed retreat. The highlight was the amazing high tea—served on the terrace overlooking the lake, with a perfect selection of sweet and savory delights and warm, attentive service. The serene setting, cozy rooms, and friendly staff made it a truly relaxing escape. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the South who appreciates nature, comfort, and a touch of elegance.

The place is extremely beautiful and the nature is wonderful. However, the rooms were full of insects and small reptiles. Sleeping in such a room was uncomfortable. In addition, there were quite a few power outages during my stay, specifically during the night which added to the uncomfortableness. Hope the hotel focuses more on pest control and ridding the room of all types of insects and lizards.

Stayed in the "Sunset villa" and imagine my disappointment when the villa was beyond basic without a TV, no mini fridge, no basic toiletries like a toothbrush or shaving kit or a kettle with tea bags to make a plain tea even! The staff were very kind and helpful when asked for a shaving kit and tooth brush! The foot path leading to the villa was not lit and the main path leading to the villa had pockets of darkness as the foot path lights were out! Bit confusing for a 1st time traveller checking in to the hotel to find the reception as there is no counter or signs pointing the way! FYI the pool bar is the reception and welcome area! I have to say the saving grace for this hotel was the dinner we had, which made up for the bare minimum basics expected in a hotel stay! The pool facing the Koggala lake had breathtaking views and it was generally a very peaceful stay for us! Will not be returning but I hope Amaya Boutique collection will improve in the future...

Nos encantó como estaba mimetizado con el entorno. Estás en plena naturaleza, pero con todas las comodidades. A nivel de diseño, nos encantó la arquitectura y la decoración del complejo. Había variedad de platos y bebidas, todo buenísimo. Hay oferta de actividades muy interesantes. La comunicación con el personal es fácil y cómoda. Es el lugar ideal para relajarse. Nosotros fuimos con nuestro propio coche y el acceso es complicado por la estrechez de la carretera, pero no hubo ningún percance. El acceso está bien señalizado.

This hotel is a hidden gem, nestled on the shores of a breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful lake. Private villas and suites are seamlessly integrated into lush vegetation, home to vibrant birdlife, playful squirrels, and the occasional varan. The architecture is captivating, the cleanliness impeccable, and touches like the gym, the library make the stay even more comfortable. The stunning infinity pool is a highlight, while the restaurant serves a creative mix of traditional Sri Lankan and western dishes, with fresh local ingredients—including prawns straight from the lake—all at reasonable prices.
