Villa Gallici is lovely, perfect for our first trip to the south of France. We stayed in a deluxe room with a few overlooking the gardens. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace are not to be missed, it’s a beautiful setting. Our room was very quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping. Villa Gallici is about a 12 minute walk into the center of Aix-en-Provence with a slight grade on the restrung walk. Taxi cabs and Ubers are pretty easily available if you don’t want to walk.

I've enjoyed many five star hotels over the years, but this one stands out as the best overall. The accommodation was spacious, having a separate bedroom, living area, sun room, bath, as well as a canopy covered patio. Each area was beautifully decorated. Despite the historical nature of the Villa, everything was well maintained. The service was amazing, with three refresh visits per day. Each evening the turn down service included rose pedals laid across the bed and pillows. Water bottles and glasses were set by the bedside and a candle was lit on the vanity in the bathroom. Assorted miniature candies and cookies were provided each day along with a gourmet coffee service. The restaurant was situated above the pool area and shaded by immense trees. The entrees we enjoyed on our first night exceeded all expectations. Three very well prepared courses with several "pre appetizer" surprises. Room service was also outstanding. The wait time for delivery or pickup was always less than ten minutes! I've never seen this level of attention and care. All in all we loved our four day stay.

It was indeed a perfect stay. The Rooms are richly decorated which makes you feel at home rather than in a hotel. The service and quality of the gastronomic restaurant is unique. The pool feels private and the SPA is very cosy and luxurious. Wish I could have stayed longer!

This is a lovely establishment, as almost all Relaix et Chateaux are! We had one of the larger suites and it was superb [although with too much unnecessary furniture and bric-a-brac.]. Reception, concierge, housekeeping, other services were excellent. The buffet breakfast was lovely, although the restaurant for dinner was extremely disappointing. [separate review.] I would choose this hotel again without hesitation, although I would definitely take my dinners in the town.

Most amazing staff, food, rooms, ambience It is like incredible having them care about your experience and enjoyment and having every meal and experience at a world class level. Always have a dinner one night in their hotel. Always enjoy the best breakfast and start to the day

We stayed at this hotel for just one night before our cruise from Marseille. I just wanted to say a big thank you, particularly to Philip and Michael for making us feel so welcome. We wanted a taste of Provence and we got it! From arrival, with the most welcoming greeting, little surprises in our room. Coffee and nibbles by the warm heated pool. And finally to our most comfortable bed and Provençal bedroom. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the restaurant or spa, but they both looked fabulous. Next time we will come for longer, but I’m glad we found this place, it truly is a special little hotel.
