The hotel is a good choice for budgetminded travelers but it is somewhat distant from the center of the city. It took about a half hour to walk to the rotonde, which is the center of Aix. However, along the way to the rotonde are plenty of cafes, shops selling food, wine and bread. The route is pretty direct and leads directly to Cours Mirabeau, the main thoroughfare of Aix, You can take a taxi from the rotonde to the hotel for 8 Euros. Breakfast provided a nice selection of European breakfast choices and you could dine on the outside terrace on the days that it was open. The hotel didn't have laundry facilities, but there is a pressing service(dry cleaner) a short walk from the hotel on Gambetta that will do laundry. My personal biggest negative was that you have to climb a steep driveway and then some stairs to reach the entrance to the hotel. Although you can bypass the stairs by entering through the garage and taking a lift to the main floor, you still have to walk to reception at the entrance. If you're carrying luggage, either way it's a trek. I'm in my eighties, so at the end of a day of walking, climbing the hill was a chore. All in all not a bad choice.

I chose to stay in this hotel because I wanted to be within walking distance of downtown Aix and near a park with a running trail. I think the hotel also offers much easier accessibility to taxis/Ubers than a more centrally located hotel. I would also consider the hotel at a budget price point. For these reasons I give it a high rating. The rooms are small but functional. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough.

Great stay overall withi. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. It was extremely hot, and our ac didn't kick in until my daughter restarted it. So much better! Breakfast was ok. We had comfortable mattresses, and I appreciated the fridge in the room.

A nice stay in Aix-en-Provence. I spent four nights in Aix-en-Provence in order to enjoy the summer Festival. This hotel was very comfortable and the staff very helpful.

The desk staff members were very helpful. The shower in the twin room was so tiny, it was extremely difficult to use and there was absolutely nowhere for soap or shampoo. Water leaks out of the shower and floods the bathroom no matter how careful you are. The shower doors do not seal. If you are overweight at all, dont book the room with the tiny shower. I would skip breakfast next time. It only consists of bread and boiled eggs. Just get your own cheap bread at the store. Food is cheap at French grocery stores.

Great location, just a short walk from Aix centre. Good breakfast, not a lot of parking, lovely staff. Very small/short bed, but for one night was okay.
