Grand Muthu Forte do Vale

Defo not a 5 star hotel-very dated and all mouldy seal round bath. All inclusive food not great. We had to leave a credit card copy at check in and told we wouldn’t be charged- but we were charged £100 after getting home so had to ring trip.com to sort it

First of all I want to share that I go all inclusive 5 star every year and have never ever come away with extreme disappointment from this hotel. This is not a 5 star hotel and barely makes a 3 star in my opinion. So hotel looks nice from the outside, reception area quite grand and clean so first impressions were good. Apartment was really spacious but very old and dated. Cleaned and towels changed daily. Most of the staff were really polite and helpful. A few that need a lesson In customer service. Pool area very small, dirty tatty sunbeds. God knows how they accommodate everyone when it’s busy. Drinks were basic all inclusive . Nothing great. When I ordered cocktails they failed to have the ingredients which was really poor. Food, breakfast standard . Lunch and evening meal very poor . Avoid if u have children that only eat chips burgers pizza etc… nothing for kids at all.. very small selection of food. Entertainment non existent . Apart from a dance lesson , quiz and karaoke . All started at 9pm and finished for 9.45pm . All inclusive drinks stop at 11pm which is fine but they completely shut the bar and there is no where to sit and chill apart from the reception area. We had a power cut and despite the poolside bar being run with a generator and had no reason to close , they closed it at 8.30 pm. On the plus side Portugal is stunning and the old town is a must for a visit. I would definitely return but not to this hotel . Seriously if you are expecting 5 star you I can guarantee you will be disappointed

Amazing stay at MGM Forte do Vale. Great service and professional helpful staff. Keryln and Randey in the kitchen and Sumaila and Leonardo in the bar-thank you so much, you have made us comfortable. Albufeira is beautiful, amazing beaches, great food. No complaints, happy family.

Food was good , the service was excellent, very courteous, The staff Kerlyn/Randeep were excellent! In the Restaurant Small swimming pool but clean Nice location short distance from beach Said to have multiple branches in the same area MGM group of hotels

we came to celebrate my wife's birthday but the hotel didn't meet our expectations as it was supposed to be a five star but didn't look like it. we only received one bottle of water per room on the first day but there were two of us. this is meant to be a five star. this hotel is not more than three star as I travel a lot and I know.
