The Crown Aldbourne

Lovely pub Spent one night here. Lovely pub. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Beautiful room. Lovely full English breakfast. Only quibble was saniflow toilet in our room. Didn’t flush sufficiently, needs a service.

I chose to stay at The Crown as I am a fan of Band of Brothers and was keen to visit the places in Aldbourne linked with Easy Company's history here in the village. My room (Guth) was warm and comfy, and had all that I needed. It was nice to see a picture on the wall of Forrest Guth as well, so that I could read more about him - a great extra touch. All the staff were lovely and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of Easy Company pictures and memorabilia on display in Bar 101 off the side of the main bar, with some familiar faces of cast members and original Easy Company members included among them. Five stars from me for the team at The Crown, and if I come back to Aldbourne I would definitely stay here again

Lovely Stay This is a lovely old pub. Our room was nice. The staff and landlord were very friendly and the food was great. The rooms are up some steep stairs, which if you have limited mobility may be difficult. Our room was rather noisy whilst the pub is open and a staircase to the upper floor has people thumping up it until past midnight, which woke us in spite of the thoughtfully supplied earplugs. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Friendly staff and locals made us feel so welcome. Dogs were made very welcome too. Food was fantastic !!
