Sapphire Beach Resort

We stayed in unit #11 with our family of four. First of all, don't let a agent or the property fool you about how far this place is from San Pedro. 10 miles doesn't sound far but on a golf cart and a rough gravel road, it's a long ways. The beach was not accessible due to seaweed and the resort made not attempt to clean it up. The restaurant and bar do not keep consistent hours, they would close early or not even open up. We had to ask numerous time for wash clothes and hand towels. The cooking utensils were horrible and old. The water pressure in the master bedroom was a trickle. Both safes were locked in the rooms and could not be accessed. We requested for them to be opened and was told they would have to be replaced. They finally replaced the safes on day 5 of our 6 day stay. Please don't let the pictures fool you, this is a low budget "RESORT". Spend the money and stay in town or somewhere other than this place.

Sapphire Beach Resort appears to be an excellent choice for travelers seeking a peaceful and comfortable beachfront retreat with outstanding service and amenities. While its location is a bit removed from town, this contributes to its tranquil atmosphere.

My stay was excellent. I stayed for almost three months. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Eric, wifi and all the ground staff were excellent and had good customer service. The other crew from Stephanie and Samantha were excellent also. I also had some work done to the condo and Josh who did the work was excellent. Eiden who is in charge of the resort also did an amazing job to coordinate and organize everything! Also one of the grounds crew WiFi that’s what they call him goes the extra mile always. Sapphire Beach is a great place to stay ‼️

My daughter and I just got back from the Sapphire Resort yesterday. We had a wonderful & peaceful stay (no thumping music - totally quiet)! Even though the resort is a hard 10 mile golf cart drive North of town, we enjoyed our daily drives where we even picked up 2 elementary students one morning and dropped them at school - that is HOW SAFE this island truly is. While going into town, we meandered onto various resorts and were always welcomed to look around. At the Sapphire, Wifi made our trip a resounding success. Each day after work, you can find Wifi on the dock catching fish for dinner. Wifi shared his poles and fresh caught sardines we watched him net. On our last night, Wifi and Erik took us out in resort canoes where we caught all the Snapper we could eat for dinner that night (they cooked them and brought them to our room!). The Sapphire is a beautifully landscaped and nestled boutique resort that is clean and has all amenities needed for cooking. Be sure to grab all the groceries you will need as you drive from San Pedro (there are 2 small groceries located about 1/2 mile from the resort & many just a little north of the town bridge). We ate resort tacos on arrival day and they were delicious! Seaweed was bad this trip so we need to plan another trip when the sargassum is gone.

Really enjoyed our stay. Food was great onsite but not great value, our server ms Vicki was lovely. limited options nearby. Bar was great when it was open; Wilbur and Edwin were great. Pools and property were clean and meticulously maintained. Loved our single poolside room. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean. It was high sorgrass season on the beach and you’d need a bulldozer to deal with that stuff properly. Definitely rent a cart in town on your way in so you can visit some other beaches. Fishing off the dock was great. We took advantage of the bikes and kayaks on site. Staff were awesome, friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience. The beaches in the immediate vicinity north and south were covered in trash - definitely not the resorts fault, but someone should deal with it. The Saturday BBQ is not to be missed! The resort is right on the beach and has its own private beach. It’s about 8.5 miles north of the town. Nice golf cart ride with scenic views. The staff is very helpful and great. Great room service. Good food at the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
