Not sure if he was the general manager or head of the reception was not accommodating at all like he did not want guests there despite a receptionist was willing to assist

We stayed for one night at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. The lodge store has a decent collection, and we enjoyed some shopping. The restaurant offered a good variety of meals, and the property is lively with monkeys around, adding a fun wildlife touch. The Wi-Fi is available only in the reception area, and the rooms do not have proper fans. We were initially given three separate beds, and only after our request did they join two beds. The manager mentioned they weren’t informed it was a family booking, only that it was for three pax. The room size felt small for a family with a child and was a bit depressing. Also, there was no phone or walkie-talkie in the room for communication, which would have been useful in case of emergencies. Overall, it’s a pleasant lodge with helpful staff, but families with kids should request room arrangements in advance and note the lack of in-room communication and cooling.

Nice, cozy rooms, thank you for having hair dryers! Excellent staff - really the best! They have a doctor on staff, which we all found helpful. Wildlife sightings are ok, mostly elephants. We saw Craig and Michael, famous for their giant tusks. Also photographed a serval, cute lion cubs and cheetahs. Loved the kingfishers. Downside: THE FOOD. It is a terrible buffet. Everything is sauced. Overcooked. At least half our group came down violently sick with what we presumed to be food poisoning. I didn’t, because my meals consisted mostly of soup, white rice and salad. The best thing I ate there was scrambled eggs from the breakfast egg station.

We stayed here for one night in July as part of our trip and absolutely loved every moment. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food was delicious. The rooms were beautifully designed with unique artwork on the walls, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Our room featured a terrace where we relaxed with a drink while watching the monkeys play nearby. The most memorable moment, however, was when an elephant wandered close to the bar terrace — a truly unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip. We would highly recommend staying here

Interesting architecture and design wonderful setting with pool and views of safari animals close by zebras, elephants , wildebeest, lions all viewed from the deck . attention to details friendly helpful staff. loved the live music and dinner atmosphere
