"A beautiful hotel, a little far from the center but a bus stop nearby. A quiet calm atmosphere. Good breakfast, a pleasant restaurant. There is a swimming pool and a sauna (simple but excellent what they are for this cost). The room is beautiful and clean, we had a great time. Of the small downsides just didn't congratulate on birthday, usually in hotels of good service mark such moments, it is as an indicator of service)"

"Friendly welcome, comfortable bed and pillows and excellent shower. Room was ready at 11.30am when we arrived. Good choice at breakfast - we paid €12,80 each on the day, which was good value for the selection. The downside was the renovations, which we were not told about in advance. It did not disturb our sleep but there was noise from drilling etc and the flooring was not stable. Also the ceiling of the room was patterned black and white which did feel strange when lying in bed! There were also roadworks outside the hotel due to finish 18th April. This hotel is a distance from the centre and the beach. We walked in, which took 45 mins to La Grande Plage and 1 hour to Plage de la Chambre D'Amour. We got a bus back, Line 3 drops you just outside the hotel (Lavigne stop) and Line 11 (7 Puits stop) is about a 10 min walk to the hotel. From the airport, catch the Line 3 bus, google maps shows you can walk it (20 mins) but we did not see any pavement and it is a busy road. Uber is available in Biarritz but it is very expensive. We loved Biarritz, it is very like Newquay. Would recommend visiting the Plage Chambre D'Amour side, there are lots of beach bars/restaurants with a surfer vibe."

"I reserved a week-long anti-stress cure. Upon arrival some of my key treatments were missing and I was told that this was due to the fact that they were managed by external providers and nothing could be done as they were not available. I had also anticipated by sending some specific requests to have some treatments and not others and to add a few extra treatments to by schedule. They had no trace if my emails and requests on their side and my confirmed (via e-mail requests) had not been taken into account. The majority of my anti-stress specific treatments were crammed into my last day and a half. I had to complain to get them to review my schedule. After having to insist too much, effort was made to accommodate but there was only so much that could be done with the availability that was left over. Needless to say this was not relaxing. While the yoga and hypnosis sessions done my externals were great, the hotel has no idea what they are doing with this cure and should really take it off their offerings list. The hydro therapists are lovely but some of the spa secretaries are not. The hotel itself if extremely noisy. Most rooms are placed around a two-story central atrium which is charming but the room doors are not sealed and light and noise filter in the inch and a half gap at the bottom of the doors (no insulation for sound of temperature). I was woken up at 8am by vacuuming from housekeeping in the atrium and kept awake until 11pm two other nights until families stopped playing card games in the common areas. My room was supposed go have windows and a balcony and I instead I had one small square window that gave out onto the parking lot. Even in the daytime, the lights had to be turned on. I was graciously allowed to change rooms after my first night. Over all the bedding is not 4-star quality and the double bed is simply two single beds pushed together without a pillow top or pad added. No free water is available in the room and no fountains in the hotel part are available to fill up water bottles. Their food options are limited and as the hotel . The towel racks in the bathrooms are rusty and the towels are worn. In the spa area, the teas were often empty and there is only one “salle de repos” that had three loungers. The outside seawater pool is great but the astroturf is worn and the lounger beds are stretched out and sagging so you end up lying on the frame. The lagoon has lots of jets but is booked for group classes at least 5 hours a day with music blasting. Classes are great if you do then but the lagoon is far from being a relaxing experience. While the hotel is located on the beach, there is no direct access to the beach from inside the hotel and the view from the dining area gives you just a sliver of ocean view. Breakfast was ok but nothing special with a limited selection worthy of a three star. Dinner was fine but the not half-board menu stayed the same for the whole week. Overall, extremely expensive for what you "

"Nice enough although nothing special or luxurious. Breakfast was fine but again nothing amazing. I was with my dog. He wasn't allowed into Breakfast so for me not really dog friendly. 20 Euros charge for dog yet no dog bowl or bed in the room"

"Rooms were larger than other venues on our France tour and well equipped with 2 queen beds, 2 chairs and desk together with large mirror. Complimentary water provided and separate toilet. Shower was over the bathtub which seems to be the norm for a lot of hotels in France. Plenty of light in the room and wi fi was ok with plenty of clothes hangers which was welcomed. Breakfast choices were ok but very few hot dishes. Bacon was dry and scrambled eggs very watery."

"The room was disgusting. We found mold on every carpets,toilet and shower really dirty(hairs and weird stains), spider web on the balcony. Bed really dirty filled with Black stains. We had to asked to change pillows because our pillow was horrible it smelled like someone trew up on it and had some weird Green stains all over. The walls were also stained. We left as soon as possible. We Will never come back"
