Gamodh Citadel Resort

Great experience with great place “Had a great experience in the amazing city of Anuradhapura—truly one of the best places to visit. The highlight of the stay was the beautiful swimming pool at Gamodh Citadel Resort, offering the perfect spot to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting.

Several times we visited here. we had Awasome food. They have perfect staff. Rooms are also clean with comfortabal beds and ampel space. Amazing pool experience without any distabances. We can enjoy privacy with carm and quit enveranment. Great atmosphere i have ever feel. All thanks goes to the friendly staff.

Stayed two nights at this resort. Host Rukshan and the other staff made sure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were simple, but spacious and clean. Equipped with air conditioning and fans and good beds. Shower was not warm. In itself we did not mind this because a warm shower in hot weather is not nice. The restaurant is simply decorated, but the food is very good. You can choose a Western and Sri Lankan breakfast. Fresh fruit juice and fruit are served with it. Dinner consists of various tasty choices. There is a small covered area that is furnished as a bar. You can also play billiards here. It was a bit unclear whether or not you had to pay for this. Advised them to provide some clarity about this. The swimming pool was lovely and partly in the shade, so you do not have to lie in the sun. The hardworking gardener is busy day in day out to maintain the garden and the swimming pool. Compliments for this. All in all definitely recommended if you want to stay here for a few nights. A visit to the temples and the old abandoned city is definitely worth it. Thanks again to host Rukshan and all other staff for the pleasant stay! If the opportunity arises, we will come back again.
