We stayed 2 nights at Tala Bay Apartments as a group of 7 during a 3-day weekend. Check-in wasn't smooth, as the staff member who greeted us was not helpful, a bit rude, and gave us the keys before the apartment was ready. After we left the front desk, they called us back and asked for the keys to be returned. When we raised the issue with management, they were very apologetic and helpful. However, there was still a mix-up, as another guest had mistakenly taken our assigned apartment, so we were given a different one. The main master bedroom’s heater was not working. The AC in the kids’ room and maid's room wasn’t working properly. The technician who came was helpful and fixed the AC, but mentioned the heater needed parts that couldn’t be sourced over the weekend. The kettle cover was broken. When we reported it, we were told this was the owner's responsibility, not management's. Cleanliness was below standard. The apartment did not feel properly cleaned, dust and we found hair and chips on the floor. We also only received fresh towels once during our stay, with just one set of beach towels for the group. On the plus side, breakfast was good. Special thanks to Mahmoud (Client Servicing), Mamoum (Reservations), and Ahmad (Restaurant) for their great attitude. We asked for a late checkout and got an extra hour and a half. The checkout experience was not pleasant, as there was no one available at the desk, 10 minutes later the same person who greeted us was there, with the same attitude, luckily it was a quick process and no issues were raised. Overall, it’s decent value for money, but not recommended during peak seasons due to service and housekeeping issues.
