The hotel has a gorgeous area! Surrounded by mountains, greenery and flowers. Silence all around, birds singing - complete relaxation! Our room had its own small terrace where you can sit, enjoying the silence and beautiful views. There is a very beautiful path nearby! You should definitely walk along it. Breakfast buffet, not very varied, but it was enough for us

I’ve been around the world and seen some 4 stars hotels - this is definitely not one of them. We got room which looks poor and mainly smells with horrible mould smell. In the bath was pigeons droppings all around. The reception said she can’t change the room and that’s what should bother any guests who want to come over . I cant recommend and furthermore I encourage not to come here. Go to other places.

We enjoyed our stay in our cabin set in botanical gardens, with a glimpse of the sea from our patio. Staff welcoming and helpful. The room was basic but comfortable. I would have preferred a proper double bed. We were able to warm the room using the air conditioning, as there was a spell of windy wet weather during our stay. Meals are at the Roseral restaurant 100 M down the road. Friendly hosts and delicious Madeira food.

Had a wonderful stay at Quinta do Arco. Beautiful hotel with beautiful gardens. Room was gorgeous, fresh and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really recommend this hotel for a relaxing nature retreat.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. We booked a villa. Unfortunally it was just a primitive cabin. Very old fashioned and is urgently to be renewed : a very basic kitchen, the bedroom was ok but the bathroom was just awfull. There was only a bathtub with shower and a curtain. There were black mold spots around the bath. In the living room you can use the stove and there are logs. Airco is not available. There are also new lodges which are modern and well equipped. The garden is splendid and there are 2 pools. The beds at one pool aren't spotless and they are also to be renewed. After a complaint about our villa we got a new room in the manor's house. The rooms are renewed but the mustu smell of years ago is still notable. The rooms are very noisy. The restaurant (breakfast) is also old fashioned. The organisation of the breakfast is not very efficient. The service is slow. Bit by bit the food is put on the desk. To make a coffee takes a lot of time and there is often a longue cue waiting. You have to clean the tables outside by yourself. Luckily there are enough napkins to clean the tables. This hotelbis certainly not 4 stars worthy. So i don't recommend this hotel unless you stay in the new lodges and you prepare your one breakfast.
