Kefalonia Grand

I can only review my personal experience, the kefalonia grand is advertised as a 4 star hotel, i was flying solo so opted for a double room which i paid extra for a lateral sea view, on arrival i was greeted at reception and immediately asked for an extra 100 euros for my 10 night stay, I had to wait and hour until I could get to my room, I was briefly shown around and told i get a free small bottle of water per day, On closer inspection the room was bland, double bed, wonky tv, shower room and wardrobe which contained a tiny fridge and safe, light fittings were in disrepair and the shower room was disgusting, paint peeling of the ceiling and floor, mold stains in the shower and toilet, no considering this was supposed to be a 4 star grand luxury boutique hotel i expected a lot better, tea and coffee making facilities at least, Having complained to the receptionist I was told nothing else similar was available so I contacted the operator who just wasn't interested, The breakfast was fantastic as were the staff but I never dined there as a protest, Argostoli is a beautiful place but the hotel ruined it for me , the room had an air-conditioning unit but after 3 days I developed a raging cough and cold which further compounded my misery, having returned home i contacted the operator who is still investigating, the pictures show the issues and also the fact that the hotel isn't quite finished.

We visited the hotel restaurant for brunch and had a lovely meal. Everything was perfect and the service was great. The bathroom facilities were also of a high standard. I would recommend that you give this restaurant a try and have a great eating experience.

We just returned from a week-long stay at The Kefalonia Grand and can’t say enough nice things about it! It’s in a great location. It’s across the street from the palm tree-lined harbor where you can go for a stroll or take pictures of the Loggerhead Sea Turtles. You can walk to many shops and restaurants as well as the ferry. They offer a full buffet breakfast as well as lunch, dinner & a full bar. Olga & Marika (concierge) are very helpful with booking excursions, renting a car or calling a taxi. Our "Superior Double Room with Seaview" had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table.

As a travel agent and a guest at the hotel, I can truly say this was a special experience. The reception team, Kassandra and Olga, were warm and welcoming. Kassandra is full of energy, always smiling and helping everyone. Olga really knows the island and loves what she does – you can feel it when you talk to her. At the hotel bar, Maikis and Sakis were kind, funny, and gave great service. In the morning, we met Matina in the dining room – she was friendly, caring, and always smiling. A lovely way to start the day. The hotel design is beautiful – a mix of modern and boho style, with soft, relaxing colors. The best part is the location: very close to the main square, and the sea view from the rooms is amazing. Even my room with a side view had something special. No doubt – when I come back to Kefalonia, I’ll stay at this hotel again. Big thanks to all the staff for a great stay!

Had a fantastic stay here, lovely comfy beds and fluffy pillows, spotlessly clean, great selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, the staff are all lovely and helpful. Special shout out to Marika who was very helpful on our arrival. The hotel is in an ideal place, a minutes walk to the turtles and 2 minutes to the main square and shops. Highly recommended and we will return.

Excellent service. Rooms comfortable (a little small though) with very helpful staff. Location is very near to the main square and many restaurants and stores. It is also in front of the water with great views. Kefalonia is a very beautiful island.
