"We stayed at that Novotel for five nights in September as individual tourists (we came to Arkhangelsk by car from Moscow). Three of us. Two standard rooms had been booked two weeks in advance by phone (no prepayment!). The check-in was a tad messy since it appeared that our rooms had no river views. We paid for an upgrade and got ones with a view, but it was so cold inside that an A/C was useless. We asked for another room change. No problem, they said; just pay for an upgrade again. What the hell, folks?! Thanks to God, the issue was solved to our convenience, and further on, our stay was really smooth. The rooms were large, with guest WCs; they faced the river (what sunsets, Jesus Christ!), were well-equipped, and daily cleaned. The guys at the reception were helpful, attentive, and wore real, natural smiles (I mean it! chain hotels' staff usually wear face masks). Open buffet breakfasts were copious, diverse, and quickly replenished. They're served in a hall facing the harbour. We liked their Reka restaurant in the evenings too (see my separate review). They do not offer porter service, but there was always someone to help us with our luggage. Free, validated, guarded, round-the-clock, open-air parking behind a boom bar could accommodate at least twenty cars. To cut a long story short, recommended. (There's no swimming pool in there, however, just a sauna.)"

"A pleasant modern hotel, with a good restaurant, respectively and breakfasts. Rooms are spacious all necessary, out of the downsides there is no table lamp on the desk. In the room panoramic windows, small balcony, the hotel gives a certificate for 500, for visiting the restaurant at the hotel, opposite the hotel there is a good beer bar that is open on the weekend to 02-00 hours of the night. It was a little surprised that the proposed copyright cards with the nature of the region are offered to visitors per day. A similar service I met in Krasnoyarsk, but there are cards with the views of the city free, the only you pay for the brand, and the hotel already sends the card to the addressee. In the rest of the hotel is a young man, developing and having to seek, for example, to offer tours or tickets to theaters, concerts or jazz club."

"The front desk staff were very patient, but their English was poor, so communication was mostly done through a translator. The bed was small; I almost fell off when I turned over in bed. Disposable shoe covers and toothbrushes required payment. The surrounding environment was so-so; I didn't notice any scenery. Everything else was fine, and compared to other hotels, it was barely acceptable."

"I have visited Arkhangelsk again, due to the new work and missions, it is necessary to be here quite often! I stay only in this hotel, the staff meets as a native. Very joyful and comfortable. In the rooms always clean, daily cleaning. A small restaurant on the first floor, with a very delicious fish and acceptable prices! Hockey matches like on the hand!"
