Pousada Convento de Arraiolos – Historic Hotel ★★★★

"The pousda is a lovely 16th century convent which has been converted into a hotel, set in the middle of the countryside but just outside the small town. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable. However, we were there at a rainy period and the hotel is too cavernous and a little soulless to be cosy for that. My greatest disappointment though was the way that the stunning and architecturally important church was treated. It was full of pigeons, nesting in the altar and perching on the ancient gilt statues. When I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, I was told that the management know this but there is little she can do as the church doors need to be left wide open for the guests. Why????? Can’t guests open a door? What will happen is that the pigeons will damage everything in the church despite the management knowing about it. Shame on them!!"

"بيت ضيافة جميل مع بركة نظيفة لطيفة. غرف لطيفة ، نظيفة للغاية ومجهزة تجهيزًا جيدًا. إفطار لذيذ للغاية. كانت ماريا المضيفة لطيفة وخرجت من طريقها لتوفير الطعام لبنتي الколة حتى اشتريت لها محمصة خبز جديدة تماما لمنع أي تلويث متداخل. قرب المكان من عدة مطاعم وسوبر ماركت لطيفة. يوصي 😍"
