Felix Hotels - Hotel Airone

We stayed in this hotel when we join a trip on a Vespa for 3 days and we stayed 1 day longer in this hotel. nice hotel when you will see more places in this part of the island. For a 4 star hotel the have to change the rooms we think specialy the bathroom! The staff of the whole hotel is great!

We had a fantastic week’s stay (Sep 2024). It was wonderful in every respect, the hotel itself, the facilities and grounds (the pool-Wow), the room, the food and drink, but most of all, the staff. Every one, in every department, was so kind and helpful, but also so efficient. It was especially good for us, as our daughter decided to come with us and celebrated her 30th birthday on our 2nd day with you, and all the foregoing helped make her day that extra bit special, so our personal thanks to the Hotel staff on that. I have completed what I hope is an excellent review, on the EasyJet questionnaire, and I do hope they recognise what an asset this hotel option is to them, as an excellent choice for a holiday. Just returned from fabulous relaxing week in Sardinia at Hotel Airone . Idyllic location , fabulous hotel food and drinks . Staff were amazing from reception team of Cinzia , Priscilla and Laura - all putting up with our poor levels of Italian .. through to Restaurant team managed by Mikel and Emiliano ( a strong resemblance to Jason Statham ) and last but not least Christina . A real family feel to enjoy and relax amongst the gardens and surrounding area . Keep an eye out too for Nelson Diaz - he drives for the hotel - but has another life as a brilliant singer . NB Check his You Tube . Can’t speak highly enough of hotel , staff and location but can assure you - you won’t be disappointed should you stay here ! Tutto e bellissimo !

First time to Sardinia and found it to be very different to any other holidays. Saying that the hotel was good just a couple of issues but more positive than bad. We went with Easy Jet. I would recommend that you do need to be on a tour or have a car. You are in the middle of no where the hotel does have a shuttle bus and the driver Nelson is superb. The last one back in the evening is 6pm from Baia and the taxis are very expensive. The town isn’t far and out costs for four of us averaged 40, 35 euros. Total cost not each. We also went to the town in the opposite direction and that was approx 25/30 euros. Ideally they need to run a later one in the evening but then I suppose guests would go out and eat. Reception staff are so helpful and want you to enjoy the holiday. We did at the outset request a ground floor and 1st floor room but that didn’t happen and couldn’t accommodate that. We did have issues two nights with their food. Steak was very blue even when asking for well done. The other night they had suckling pig on and mine was just a lump of fat. It did go back and they credited the bill so they are fair. The steak dinner was just steak we didn’t have any potatoes even after asking for them. If you get potatoes we have smash potatoes but the size of maybe a teaspoon. Reviews have said how good the food was we didn’t find that. However people that were on a tour as in the coaches were on some pre set meal which we didn’t get the option. Dinner is 20 euros, starter 16 euros and puddings 15 euros. Restaurant staff in the main ok but one lady did respond one evening I speak deutsch, Dutch, Italian but English ney …… that didn’t go down too well with us. Breakfast is the same the only change each day is the vegetables they serve whether carrots, green beans and broccoli??? You will have issues with English tea it goes so quickly and making them understand is very hard. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room coffee is an espresso machine so not the best and we never saw a tea bag for the entire week. Take your own! If you’re English and considering this hotel just take your own tea and coffee and maybe have a car it will be lovely. The pool area is so quiet and peaceful. Sardinia is a very quiet holiday and everything is around the beautiful sea and views.

Stayed here for 2 weeks as a family of 4. The hotel is situated outside the main town of Baia Sardinia. To get about a car would be recommended as the taxi's are expensive. However the hotel does offer a shuttle bus to a few locations towards Baia. The area is fantastic place to go on holiday with many beaches and towns to visit. The hotel has a smaller feel to it but this adds to its personal touch. There are some improvements that the hotel could make which is why I have only rated it 4 green circles, but I really did want to rate it 5. The pool is very good, a good size to be able to swim and has a good section for children. The main restaurant is good too, they have a set menu each evening with about 4 starters and 4 main course options, and a cold buffet to choose from. Lunch is served at the poolside bar. Again plenty of choice. The hotel offers a kids club which is ok. It's definitely aged to children 10 years and below. The staff who ran the club were great though. Evenings after dinner were lacking atmosphere as the bar which was at poolside was taken over by the kids club, which we didn't mind as we had children but more could be done to create atmosphere for adults as well, such as some background music drinks menu ect. FOOD - 4 STARS Could do with a few more vegetarian options at times. STAFF- 5 STARS Cannot fault any of the staff. CLEANLINESS - 5 STARS Restaurant, communal areas and rooms were impeccable. VALUE FOR MONEY - 5 STARS For what you get especially compared to elsewhere then it's good value. OVERALL THEME - 4.5 STARS The hotel is a gem and although I have mentioned some negative points this is only to offer some feedback and hopefully some areas they can improve on. We would still strongly recommend this hotel.

We just came back from dreamy Sardinia. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the island - the Emerald Coast. We were a short drive from Baia Sardinia and the local beaches. We were unlucky with the weather for a day, but the hotel has great amenities, like the kids club, playground, pool, tennis court, ping pong, and football goals, so the children were very happy to stay in the hotel and play. Our flight was late at night, so the hotel kindly gave us a room to keep our luggage and shower in before our flight. The hotel reception staff were so friendly and helpful and gave us excellent suggestions of beaches and places to visit around the island. Overall, it is a fantastic family hotel, super clean, and friendly staff. The only reason why I didn't give a perfect score is because, the hotel is not on the beach ( but it did give us an opportunity to explore different beaches on the island), and also the beds have a metal frame, so they felt a little wobbly. Otherwise, it was an all-round amazing experience and I would go again.
