We celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Residenz Heinz Winkler, and wow, did it exceed our high expectations! Our room was absolutely stunning, featuring two beautiful levels, tons of windows, and amazing views. We loved coming back each day to a lovely plate of fruit and perfectly clean rooms. The restaurant is definitely top-notch, but still feels really personable. And the staff? They are friendly, super knowledgeable, and genuinely go out of their way to make your stay picture-perfect. To Herr Winkler and his staff, thank you very much!

This hotel is just an excellent hotel! Rooms are very spacious with good bedding. It has an amazing restaurant with a great chef, and with wonderful staff! Breakfast is just a treat, delicious food for all tastes. This hotel is well located in a very calm part of Bavaria; however, it allows us to visit Munich, Salzburg, and many other historical places in the surroundings, such as the very impressive “Island of Men” where we find the Castle build by Ludovic II. We spend precious time in this part of the world, and we loved staying in this hotel. We have no hesitation to highly recommend it to you if you are visiting this part of the world.

My son and I have had truly a wonderful rest at Heinz Winkler. From the very beginning at the reception we felt welcomed and right at home at our lovely room. The customer service is impeccable. A cosy little swimming pool and sauna go a long way enriching your vacation. A superb breakfast with champagne prompts you to get in the vacation mood full time)! The legendary Frau Winkler puts a sparkle on your staying with her personal touch. My 9 y.o. son was impressed enough to write his personal letter of appreciation to the hotel! Only the housekeeping could use a bit of polish. Will be glad to return.

This visit was in 2021 and I regret not reviewing it earlier. My wife and stayed in a suite for one night .We had skied for one day this was just after lockdown and the hotel had just reopened. The dinner was excellent and quite unique and the service charming and old school. I am writing because they also have a lovely smoking room. I am reading a book on Cigars and have just finished one that Mr Winklers son sold me when I was there. A first class cigar and lovely memory of our stay. I have not been able to visit as I live in the IK but will try to again

We had booked the hotel almost exclusively for our conference of 30 people. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I felt welcomed and taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble, from a last-minute request to add a dog to the party to opening the in-house restaurant on a Monday evening for only 2 dinner guests, not to mention the endless adjustments to our leisure activities. Clearly, the staff take pride in both their work and their hotel. This is one of those little gems well worth visiting - and their food is absolutely superb!

Old fashion hotel, but why not having this king of travel in time. The staff is nice, the bedroom is fine, spacious and confortable and very clean, with very nice views. The underground swimming pool has its old but full (and still working!) equipment; hydro massage, coounter current swim, sauna, hammam, and even one of the first infra red sauna...
