Jazz Hotel Ascona

The Jazz Hotel is a cheaply furnished hotel in a central location in Ascona. The rooms are cheaply furnished and soundproof. We booked through a reputable booking platform. For a full week's stay, we were given the worst and noisiest room in the hotel, right next to reception with loud music and opposite the breakfast room and a freely accessible coffee machine. This meant no sleeping in and no privacy. We therefore asked for a quieter room. For an additional charge of CHF 250 (!), we were able to move into the same cheaply furnished, small room on a different floor. I'm unclear as to why we were charged this extra fee; it was supposedly an upgrade. The bathroom is old and very small, so you often end up hitting yourself. The shower was very small and calcified. The breakfast room has the ambiance of a train station waiting room. The breakfast is straightforward and always the same, served carelessly with lots of ready-made products. There wasn't fresh bread, rolls, or croissants every day, and stale sausage, cheese, and Bircher muesli were offered every day. Conversation in the breakfast room was almost impossible due to the noisy refrigerated counter. This was by far the worst place I've ever spent my time in, and the price was definitely not cheap. Never again.

Kleines, unkompliziertes Hotel an guter, zentraler Lage aber ohne Seeblick. Sehr sauber, feines Frühstücksbuffet, alles etwas anonym (selfcheck- in). Sympathisch: Kaffeemaschine und Wasser zur freien Verfügung. Gut für Kurzaufenthalt bzw. Wochenende. Business.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und hat eine Garage. Zu Fuss ist das Zentrum innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und der Schlaf ist ausgezeichnet. Wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Die Unterkunft liegt an bester Lage, denn in wenigen Minuten ist man am See. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und lecker. Der Kontakt mit dem Hotel vor der Anreise war mühelos, denn die Fragen wurden zeitnah beantwortet. Dieses Hotel können wir auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen!

J'ai passé une très bonne nuit dans cet hôtel. La chambre était simple mais avec tout ce qu'il faut, la literie confortable. Arrivée tardive, la clé était dans la digibox : impeccable. Terrasse agréable, malheureusement je n'ai pas eu le temps d'en profiter très longtemps. Mention spéciale pour le petit-déjeuner où il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait, même un œuf à la coque qu'on a cuit pour moi. Je recommande.
