I Rarely post reviews good or bad but this one I could not let go. My wife and I along with our 6 yr old Doodle traveled from South Florida to Kentucky stopping over for a “anticipated” night of sleep after a long day on the road. Hotel looks nice, room was clean and comfortable. The problem was a couple next door left their 2 dogs alone around 8:00 pm and they barked constantly til at least 11:30pm. I knocked on door to no answer and then went downstairs to front desk around 8:30 pm. I explained the situation and the clerk (a very unfriendly female) responded with “what do you want me to do about it” I was not expecting the response and responded with I’d like you to get the dogs quiet. She said that they do not go into the rooms, which I guess I understand.. However, that’s not I was wanting to hear. I asked her to call the room and the customers cell. She called the room, but said did not have a cell phone number on file. I then asked to move rooms and she responded that the hotel was sold out. Left with no choice, I went back to room. We played white noise on our phones and I called the corp # for choice hotels( left detailed account actually that night and then again a week later) We just couldn’t really get to sleep, so we got up about 3:30 am packed and left. I called later on Saturday and spoke to Minuela(not sure of spelling) at the location. I believe she is the supervisor.. She listened, apologized for the experience and assured me the matter would be dealt with. She also volunteered info that the girl in question had had a few negative encounters already in a fairly short time. She also volunteered that there were “17” open rooms the previous night, so the info provided from the very rude employee was FALSE. Manuela did offer to refund the pet fee of $60 and I thanked her and told her I would think about what I would do about the situation later. I called a few times over the next week but the front desk was busy each time. I finally reached Minuella again today Monday (April 6th) I told her I had decided I couldn’t let it go because the employee was not only beyond rude but had also LIED about having NO vacant rooms. I would have never revealed this info but Minuella supposedly asked the General Manager(Andy Brown) to honor my request for the refund and he stated the refund of the pet fee was sufficient. Well, I responded They would hear from me if he didn’t call me to resolve my complaint. He didn’t call so here is the complaint!! I would have stayed here many times because it is a convenient distance from where I travel. Not only are they losing my business, I hope it cost them much more. Terrible customer service on their end and obviously very poor employee training. Lastly, for anyone that stays here, The parking at “Your Own Risk” should be taken seriously. We originally parked in back and a car pulled from a spot to immediately one spot away from us. I’m glad we had not gotten out and did move to the front area of
