We stayed at the Chateau for 5 nights in April. The building and grounds are beautiful along with the gardens . The rooms are well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Cleaning / fresh amenities and turn down services were a bit spotty. The included breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a great staff that was friendly and efficient. Keep in mind that you will be at a distance from most attractions in the area, like Bayeaux, the WW2 historical sites including the Caen Museum. I would suggest pre arranged tours. If you need transportation, the staff will arrange for you but please follow-up as we had some issues when they " forgot" to call, almost missing our train. Additionally, you may want to make dinner reservations in Caen or Bayeaux if you don't want to eat at either of the two restaurants at the Chateau. Le Saran ( their main restaurant) is very good but closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and they typically don't change the menu more than weekly. The alternative is their 1715 bar with more of casual menu. Both can be on the more expensive side. There is some great history here and this inn has allot of potential but I think they need to upgrade the involvement and numbers of their staff .
