City Hotel Frankfurt Bad Vilbel Reviews

There is no subway or light rail near the hotel. You need to take 11 bus stops to find the subway. There is a supermarket near the hotel, which is convenient for shopping, but there is no restaurant

A friendly reception on arrival and departure framed this very pleasant stay. Spacious, comfortable room. Good location with shops and bus stops nearby. Plenty of parking space.

Lufthansa missed its own connections so forced us here. It’s WAY from Frankfurt airport. Others at front desk complaining their rooms were already occupied!! NO AIR CONDITIONING. Hot as heck in the rooms. They do offer fans but how can a supposed four star hotel (per Lufthansa) not have AC? They do have buffet dinner and breakfast but that is all LH negotiated in.

The hotel was marvellous and the staff made me feel incredibly welcome from the start. There was no question or request that was too much. It’s a great area near a bus stop into Frankfurt city centre and has a variety of stores in the local area.

Well... free parking in the underground car park, free drinks in the minibar - very pleasant, as was the elevator from the garage to the respective floor. The room faced the discount store car park, and the garbage can area was under the room... the room smelled strange, but it was clean. The bathroom was clean too, I could overlook the cracks in the sanitary fittings. Apparently there used to be a bidet in the bathroom - now there was only a strange stool in its place. I was only passing through for 1 night and was exhausted after driving for almost 9 hours, otherwise I would have asked for another room. The food in the restaurant was good, the service was a little overwhelmed, but very friendly... There were 3 tables occupied - one with 2 people and two with one person each... The breakfast buffet was extensive, everything was there and they kept replenishing it.

A business hotel! Cool like a department store. At 7am they are constantly cleaning. Overall it is clean. The team is courteous. The drinks menu is varied. It is very easy to get to; just after the roundabout. No parking problems

Staff very friendly and excellent. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Restaurant highly recommended. Great value for money. Very attentive staff in the kitchen and in the service. Hotel room very clean. Room facing the Lidl car park not so pleasant, very noisy from 7am onwards.

Breakfast buffet was very good. (I have a bit of a mobility issue) One comment: The shower was very slippery (when wet). Otherwise, it was nice and spacious, lots of room. I didn't get to grips with the remote control for the lights (description?)
