Is Serenas Badesi Resort

We just spent an amazing week at the IS Serenas with family and friends and are already planning to return. The facilities are amazing, including a great attention to detail in regards to the landscaping. A special note to the food. It was DELICIOUS! Potentially the best we ever had in an all-inclusive set-up. Rosella and her staff at the restaurant are to be commended by their professionalism and service. Honestly, we loved every second.

We had a lovely 10 night stay at this great hotel complex. Very clean, food was fantastic with lots of variety. Staff very helpful and efficient we had an issue with mosquitoes and was resolved while we had dinner. Beautiful sandy beach with allocated sun loungers, sea is clear blue and like laying in the bath. Plenty of sun beds around the pools and no getting up early to place towels down. Guests were nearly all Italian which was a nice change. Best all inclusive I’ve visited in Europe/Turkey. Can’t recommend enough, if you want entertainment in English this place probably isn’t for you, also no bars and restaurants close by, we had to get a taxi 25 minutes drive to the nearest major town which was actually very nice.

Hotel feels relatively fresh but if you come to Sardinia for a nice view, nice beach and nice food and clean towels every day - this is NOT it Ok you can see in advance that the beach is quite far but that means also that you can not enjoy any beach view lunches or dinners with good Italian food (unless you like hamburgers and can wait to actually take a chance to book the 12 plastic tables they have for this purpose while the number of people is massive (so pretty impossible) - The beach is dirty with algae and so is the water - Towels are there to hire only for a week!!! (And to be paid for, hidden charges) You dont get fresh ones unless you booked directly with some premium payment!!! so booked for 2 weeks? Get ready to use same dirty towels every day. I had to threaten to get my money back before they agreed to give us fresh ones - The beachbeds are super far to walk. Front row is 80% empty as they want extra payment for it but can only take payment at reception (which 25 min walk back and forth in the heat) - The restaurant has no view, has plastic windows (no joke) and is disgusting.Their dishwasher does not work properly so half the plates and cups still have food remainings there. Really bad - Tables are not cleaned after usage (and will not be cleaned even if you ask) - 2/3 of the Area is dark and noisy - If you want tea - thats a problem. Well you can get hot water from the machine but tea bags are only available at breakfast, so each lunch and dinner I have to find a staff member (as there are NO WAITERS) that actually speaks English and then to convince to get a teabag (which is also a problem as they don't ask which flavour ) - If you want wine, you can use a dispenser and do it in a waterglass!!! No wine glasses unless its in their “prestige restaurant” which has again 4 walls and few tables overlooking the roof of the gardenhouses you stay in. - Then there is no fresh cut fruit like water melon, which is normal in buffets, french fries, chicken filet or hamburgers are only available on some days, so good luck with kids ( they do put canned fruit and same peaches everyday) - They cant fix our airconditioning already for 3 days - You’re in the middle of nowhere, everything that is nice is a 1+ hour drive - and they blocked Trupadvisor in their wifi - jee I wonder why The only positive is - the entertainment team is OK but have seen better and the shows are in Italian, so good luck tourists - the pool (again no nice views but seems new) but also there they don’t clean the cups from drinking used during the day unless its evening - And the sports area’s which are nice but apparently its no all-inclusive as when u arrive they charge you some extra money to use it - no choice / hidden charge Still there and counting days

The staff in Is Serena hotel are very friendly and helpful every single minute in our stay, the rooms are cozy, clean and quiet , the resort is one of the best I ever visited as they kept the natural beauty of the beach area. They had a very nice coffee. However they have the worst food I ever eaten in a hotel or a restaurant, really mad me and my family wants to leave the resort especially the breakfast, also the cups and plates were dirty and not cleaned well. They profile cusp based on the color of the wristbands which is blue for ordinary people and orange for special guests. No public transport or any type of transport the hotel helps with in order to see the other areas and we were left with two options taxi cost minimum 45 euros per short trip or rent a car which is up to 150 euros including the pick up, insurance etc. so never again.

Let's begin with the positives, I suppose. The entertainment team is truly exceptional. While I could name a few, it wouldn't be fair to exclude the others. Nevertheless, I want to commend Milo, Aaron, Vince, Deborah, Giorgia, and the swimming instructor, among others. They put in a tremendous effort to ensure both kids and parents have an enjoyable stay. Their fantastic work is done without being pushy or bothersome. A special shoutout to Gianmarco from the spa - he's an excellent masseur, and I highly recommend his sessions for an exceptional experience. Thank you! Now, moving on to the dining experience. It's beyond great. While there are instances when the food might be lukewarm or cold, the quality remains excellent. I've never had such well-prepared and satisfying meals in any other resort I've visited. The overall structure of the resort is commendable, though it lacks an indoor space for relaxation during excessively hot weather or bad conditions. The on-site doctor is worth mentioning - a kind and empathetic professional who provides great care. On to the less positive aspects. The reception team occasionally makes mistakes, and the information they provide can be lacking. You'll realize navigating the place can be challenging without a map. The location itself is relatively isolated, and having a car is highly recommended to escape during unfavorable days, which happen quite frequently. The nearest points of interest are more than half an hour's drive away. When it comes to extras, the full board package surprisingly doesn't include coffee, even the basic one. Additionally, purchasing water from local bars costs a staggering four euros per bottle. This steep price is disappointing, especially given the absence of alternatives. While you can collect water from the restaurant, they discourage it. While cups are offered for free, bottled water isn't. The alternative restaurants are a letdown. We tried one, but it's hardly worth it. The fixed menu replicates what's available at the buffet restaurant, except here you have the illusion of choice. Room service is a hit-and-miss affair. For a week, there were no changes of linen, despite the policy being every three days. Our first change happened on the eighth day. On some occasions, towels were not replaced or removed from the floor. The most disappointing aspect is the sea. It's not what one would expect from the Sardinian sea. Algae tend to persist after strong Mistral winds, and they linger for days. The sea's depth limits beach access, and during our two-week stay, we managed to visit the beach only about three times. This isn't the resort's fault, of course, but it's crucial to highlight that bad weather is a common occurrence. Be prepared for it. Overall, the resort is excellent, with the entertainment team accounting for 50% of its positive reputation, while the other half is due to the food quality. Would I return? We have been traveling to Sardinia with our family for last 9 years and this is our favourite hotel so far! The hotel was outstanding then rooms lovely modern clean fresh then pool was lovely warm kids loved the slide and the entertainment were outstanding 47 entertainment staff working day and night shows amazing kids disco amazing my daughter Morena just loved the dancers at night! Food outstanding we loved the buffet and big shout out to Osvaldo head chef in the buffet restaurant your team do a fantastic job as do you thank you for lovely selection of typical Sardinia food!
