"I recently stayed for one night at La Jolla Luxury Beach Resort, and it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere—it was perfect for a short escape from a busy schedule. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. The pool area was also nice and added to the overall experience, especially if you want an alternative to the beach. Food was decent, though there’s still a bit of room for improvement in terms of variety. Overall, even though it was just a one-night stay, I felt refreshed and satisfied. "Given the price point and the travel time required to get here, we expected a seamless experience. Unfortunately, it fell short. Despite a standard 3:00 PM check-in time, we were made to wait an extra hour for our room. There is a clear lack of communication and coordination between the reception staff and other departments, resulting in a disorganized stay. While the rooms were clean, the interiors were quite dated. While this fits a certain rustic aesthetic, the lack of modern essentials was disappointing. There are no in-room phones to contact the front desk, and no hair dryers provided. The estate itself is visually stunning, and the activities offered were enjoyable. However, if your primary goal is relaxation, the operational issues make it hard to unwind. I left more stressed than relaxed, despite the beautiful photo opportunities."

"We stayed at Rancho Bernardo for a 3D2N family getaway. It’s quite far from the metro, so you really have to dedicate at least half a day just for travel back and forth. When we arrived, we were asked to park and were escorted to the reception via a golf cart. Check-in was smooth, and they served welcome drinks while the staff helped with our bags. The service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My partner and I stayed in the first Villa where the owner used to stay. The rooms were very spacious and the location is stunning. There was only one other guest during our trip, so we practically had the resort to ourselves. The Cons • Breakfast: This was a bit of a letdown. It’s a plated breakfast with very little room for special requests. Given the price point of the resort, you’d expect at least a buffet option. Also, the booking mentioned an English/Irish style breakfast, but the actual menu only had American and Filipino choices. • Pricing: The restaurant menu items are generally on the high side. • Room Fixtures: The bathroom could use more functional fixtures, like a hanging rack for towels or clothes. • Pests: There were insects and mosquitoes inside the villa when we first entered the room. • Noise: The koi pond can be a bit noisy in the evening, though they turn it off automatically later on. Overall, it’s a beautiful and quiet place to relax, but there are definitely some details they could improve on for the price."
