Shirahama Hotels with Balcony

The sea view room was great, very clean and tidy, beautiful and comfortable, private outdoor spring in the room, excellent for staying in the room. However, the meals were very disappointed that were unexpected to cost about US$600 for a night including dinner and breakfast for 2 adults and a kid. In particular, the foods for my kid were unacceptable for this price. The restaurant was not clean and the staff were not attentive. We booked the room through Trip.com and mentioned we have a 9 years old kid with us. The staff said they have no such record and required me to prove. Luckily I have the booking record in my App and showed them we did. Then, they said it should be the problem from Trip.com. And then, they said ok and would cost 25000 yen extra for my kid. I accepted, and then they said they could not provide an extra bed for my kid and reduced the cost to 20000 yen, and I also accepted. As a customer, I felt this was not attentive and not polite to request me to prove I had mentioned a kid for the booking. That’s all fine, but the quality and taste for the meals were really unacceptable at this price range, the breakfast was horrible. At last, my case wasn’t a communication problem because the staff who talked to us wasn’t a Japanese and was a native English speaker. Anyhow, the facilities and the room of this hotel were excellent, but the meals and services were not worth for this price.

Although it is a little old fashion, it is very clean. The hotel staff is also very nice, especially there are two Chinese ladies on duty at night, which makes communication very convenient; although the hot spring is a little old, the experience is also very good and it is very comfortable after soaking. The hotel will rotate the male and female baths every day, so be careful not to go to the wrong place; the breakfast is very good, standard and exquisite Japanese breakfast, seafood rice and grilled salmon are of great quality, and I am very satisfied with the food every day; there are also free sand digging tools, flip-flops, and towels at the entrance of the hotel lobby, which is very convenient to go to the beach; the best thing is that there is a self-service coin-operated washing machine, which only costs 500 yen. The clothes that the baby goes to the sea are washed and dried without having to carry dirty clothes for the next trip, which is very convenient! The disadvantage is that there are no bath towels in the hot spring bathhouse, and you need to bring them from the room yourself. I stayed for 2 days and went back to the room every day to get towels, which is very inconvenient. There are also no large bottles of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner in the room. There are only two simple small bags full of Japanese words, which are not enough. It is not very friendly to guests who take a bath in the room.

First of all, the environment is very clean and the location is easy to find. You can take the bus directly from the JR station to Shirahama Station. You can walk there in five minutes according to the navigation. The owner's sister is a Chinese compatriot who has lived in Japan for many years. The breakfast prepared for the guests is also very exquisite. Knowing that the baby had a birthday that day, she specially prepared noodles and poached eggs in the morning, which was a surprise for the baby who loves noodles. On the last day, she also helped us book the best restaurant in this trip to Japan. The B&B is on Ginza Street. There are delicious restaurants around the B&B. The white sand beach is a five-minute walk across the street. I will choose here next time I come to Shirahama.

The Japanese-style room of this hotel can accommodate up to 4 people, which is very suitable for our travel combination of one person and two children. The Japanese room is charged per person, and if 3 people stay, they will be charged for 3 people. The room faces the sea directly, the scenery is good, and the hot spring is also a sea view hot spring. There is no one at all, and the experience is very good. The overall feeling is good.

We chose the sea view room, so first of all, great view and can see the sunset, and there is big balcony to enjoy the view and hang your laundry too. And there is a variety of amenities provided. All facilities in the room functions well, and we especially like the cooking dinning facilities provided in the room. Just one point to improve - it will be better if a hair dryer can be provided.

The store will send the route one day before check-in (although not completely correct) But in general, it is not difficult to find it in combination with Google map. But the defects in this place are also obvious. First of all, the self-check-in and check-out are fully self-check-in. The store has a phone and does not speak Chinese. If you have something, you need to transfer through Trip.com. Second, it may be a relationship that has just opened. There are few errors in the information left, which is easy to mislead. For example, there is no parking lot in the information. The actual house is a parking lot in front of the house. Each suite will also provide a parking space. For example, breakfast can be provided, but there is no such option at all, and there is no supermarket and store opened at night in the 20 minutes or so around the apartment. There is a picture of the bathroom in the photo, but there is no indication in the public facilities that the bathroom is shared by 2 apartments. I also learned when I received the check-in precautions of the store the day before check-in. Frankly, if I know in advance, I will definitely not choose here. Two nights we were wondering if there were any guests in the other suite. The bathroom was at the end of the corridor. There was no air conditioning in the corridor. The bathroom door was very thick and the lock was not very good. I was a little worried when I took a shower. There was a small exhaust fan in the bathroom, which was very stuffy. There is a dirty clothes basket in the outside room, and there is no place to change clothes and towels. There is no elevator, and it is very tired to move up and down if the luggage is heavy. There is no washing machine, which is a bit of a reduction in the frequent change and washing on the beach in summer. Soundproofing is average, and the cars on the road can be heard at night. I don’t know what the problem with the Japanese-style air conditioner in Room 301 is. Every minute or so, there is a sound like the sewer pipe blocking the water and turning up. 環境和景色不會讓你失望，十分推薦家庭或幾個家庭一同出遊，適合自駕，而且十分建議自駕，這樣當你穿梭在白濱各個景點和餐館的途中看到各式各樣等bus的人羣，你會心裏os：還是有車好啊。 旅館位置遠離集中的遊客，不會讓你感覺擁擠，一樓有各種共享生活設施，房屋內有温泉入户但我比較倒黴，入住當天維護，沒有温泉。 無人值守，你有事得發消息打電話。 附近走路近的有一家吃飯的，其他請自駕找好吃的。 開始不順暢的是我個人原因沒有檢查trip app，竟然發現商家可以直接發消息給用户（從來沒有接觸到過）導致我一直在找email和短訊裏關於如何checkin的訊息，最後才意識到是在trip裏的短消息，這一點在我預料之外，不過還好後來反應過來查看了消息，這裏基本是我的智力問題，希望來世可以改進。
