Villa di Bias

Peaceful villa with a nice private pool and a wonderful view on the rice fields. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. A nice breakfast can be served in the room, on the deck or in the pool. Only the road to access the villa could be a bit challenging for some travelers.

Hôtel perdu au milieu des rizières, mais on vient exactement pour ça !! La vue est simplement magnifique, reposante… De très belle prestations, les piscines privées sont extra, mais les marches à l’intérieur des villas inférieures sont beaucoup trop haute (au au moins deux fois la hauteur en France) Petit point à regretter aussi : il n’y a pas de restaurant dans l’hôtel… mais vous pouvez commander vos repas pour un prix très raisonnable, en provenance d’un restaurant à proximité : mais les plats ne sont du coup pas très chaud !

We wanted to position ourselves near to the Gates to Heaven Temple and this place ticked the boxes.There were problems finding the place as it is tucked away in a village with an unsealed road to enter.It is only one way and if you miss the turn into the Villa then you will have to reverse back up a steep narrow lane way.Unfortunately the day we were there it was raining so no easy feat to reverse back.The Villa is gorgeous but being that it is remote there is no mini mart or place to get supplies.They did have 2 beers in the fridge and one coke but once that is gone you are out of luck.BRING SUPPLIES WITH YOU.The beautiful man who welcomed us had limited English and a lot got lost in translation.We wanted to order dinner which has to be an hour in advance so that they can order it from a local Warung.We asked 4 times were we too late to order dinner and were told yes but then he came back asking us if we wanted to order dinner,Funny.We think he ended up cooking as it was raining but the meal was beautiful.We had the Villa without the pool as we were told it was unavailable during our stay but that didnt bother us as we were not going to be there long enough to care.The room is stunning with a big bathroom and toilet with a million dollar view.When we arrived we couldnt see Mt Agung but when we awoke the next morning there he was bigger than Ben Hur.Looking over rice terraces and the local area,It has to be one of the best views Ive ever had.Bed was really comfortable and luxurious.Again being so remote there are no taxis to go anywhere so you have to rely on the Villa to provide transport.I didnt realise that the prices were in US and so to go 14kms the next day to Candi Dasa cost us 386000rph.Rip off but I did get the drivers contact details to call him next time as it was a third of the price.You are 5 mins away from Lempuyung Temple which was the main reason for our stay but we didnt get there in the morning and had been the day before.Beautiful area all around.Breakfast was included in the price and they asked us if we would like it served upstairs near the infinity pool.HUGE beautifully presented breakfast and way too much for us to eat.I would definately stay here again but would be better prepared with drinks and snacks to enjoy the magical views.Went for a walk the next morning through the rice fields and saw all the locals bathing in the streams and at work in the fields.Maybe some mozzie spray too as they turned up as the sun went down
