Hotel Review: Candi Beach Resort & Spa
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My fiancée and I recently spent 2 nights at the Candi Beach Resort & Spa, staying in the Deluxe Jr. Suite Ocean Facing room. The experience was overall excellent, and we highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in Candidasa.
The ocean-facing suite provided a serene ambiance, complemented by the tranquil and clean Candidasa beach, which is refreshingly uncrowded compared to other tourist-heavy spots in Bali. The resort is also conveniently located near various restaurants, making dining options plentiful and accessible.
However, there were a couple of minor downsides. Our ground-floor room, while ocean-facing, didn't offer the best views due to its positioning. Additionally, the pool area was quite crowded, with benches often occupied, despite being right outside our room. This slightly dampened the relaxing vibe we were hoping for.
During our stay, we celebrated New Year’s Eve, which included a stunning fireworks display. Unfortunately, the limited view from our ground-floor room meant we couldn't fully enjoy it.
That said, these minor inconveniences didn't overshadow the wonderful experience we had. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere of the resort were top-notch, deserving of a 5-star rating.
A highlight of our trip was visiting Tenganan Village, just a 5-minute drive from the resort. This culturally rich village is one of the largest in eastern Bali and offers an eye-opening experience. For those who enjoy hiking, trekking through the nearby rice fields is also highly recommended—it’s both scenic and rewarding.
Overall, Candi Beach Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for a peaceful and cultural retreat in Bali. We look forward to returning in the future!
Nice resort, very friendly and nice staff.
Unfortunately, there is no sea access, we don’t like pools at all.
Moreover it was very noisy at night from sea waves. Road to resort is very bad…If you don’t have any transport, it will be difficult to go out by foot due to flooding before resort.
If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, recover, and relax—this is the perfect place! Cozy rooms, a comfortable bed, a restaurant, friendly and polite staff, and the chance to swim in the ocean (for those brave enough to challenge the elements). Highly recommend!

Honestly i was disappointed. When i came inside the room, the ac is problem. Then i call the receptionist he arrange for the engineer to fix. But then at night, the ac problem again. The floor was wet from the ac. So i call again the reception and the engineer come again. Need about 30 mins. Andnthe ac didnt works well. Hot. Not cold. I can't sleep well. I asked to change the room but they said can't. So bad. I paid the room for cant sleep well after drive 2 hours.
For the view from pool is cool. But the service, bad.
I stayed on the east coast of Bali to avoid the crowds. I just lay down in the hotel and watched the sea. I went fishing and snorkeling in the morning, ate the fish I caught in the restaurant at noon, and had a massage and swam in the sea breeze in the afternoon. After leaving Manggis, I went to Ubud. I saw traffic jams everywhere and commercial streets. I suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.
Obviously, this is the good view from the hotel territory. But where are many rooms in the hotel, so the swimming pool is seems to be little for so many people. There is no beach across the hotel. So, you have to go on foot or rent the scooter to reach the public beach. As for me, food in the restaurant is quite expensive but not tasty.
On the whole, it is good.
The hotel is surrounded by greenery, the room is a separate house with its own entrance through a green labyrinth. Near the house there is a huge veranda overlooking its own pond with fish. A wonderful place for meditation. On the veranda there is a small table with comfortable chairs, as well as a table where you can have a snack.
The room is sooo cozy. Two large windows overlooking the garden, not counting the entrance door overlooking the pond. The room is furnished with wooden furniture, there is a safe. Very cozy bathroom.
There are live plants in the vases.
We did not take breakfast here, since in the reviews earlier they wrote that they were meager. We ate in the cafe opposite - very affordable prices.
We extended our stay for another night, because we really liked it. The exit to the beach is not far across the road, the beach is very small, but clean. We went from here to Virgin Beach.
Very good hotel. One of the best in Candidasa. Thanks to the staff for their attention. Breakfasts with a view of the sea. In the evening delicious food in the restaurant near the sea. Clean rooms.
There were no towels in my room, so had to go & ask for them. At the pool I had to go into a lock up to look for a sunbed cushion, staff should be more proactive in offering cushions.
I asked at the pool for a pool towel, they were surprised I didn't have any in my room, they got on the walkie talkie & asked for some for me, 6 hours later the pool towels hadn't arrived, so I went to reception myself to ask for them.
My room was cleaned & no clean towels were left, I gave them the benefit of the doubt & left it a few hours, hoping they'd bring towels, but no, I had to once again go to reception for towels.
A nice touch would be staff coming to your sunbed to ask if you want food or drink.
The restaurant could do with a roll down wall, a barrier from the elements for times when the wind & rain are prevalent. It's not fun being blown about & getting wet when you're trying to negotiate your food.
The rooms are lovely, I had an outside bathroom, which was very special.
One issue is the ceiling, there's always bits of dirt or bugs falling onto the bed from the ceiling.
The fan in my room didn't work, there was also a light out, but I just left it, I didn't want to keep complaining.
Most of the food was delicious & presented very well. I tried vegetable soup, which was basically lots of uncooked veg in a vegetable bouillon, not my idea of soup, I didn't take too well to the spaghetti bolognese either, i didnt like the taste of it. I'm not sure what they wash the fruit & salad in, but it didn't taste very nice & tasted of chemicals, suffice to say I couldn't eat it.
The staff are friendly & ready to help.
I didn't realise the hotel had a driver to do trips, they should be informing people of this, I booked a driver from outside & would of preferred to pay the hotel driver.
The surroundings/gardens are beautiful & so is the pool area.
Beach sellers are a pain, you could be led on sunbed or eating a meal & they still harass you, one even sneaked up the stairs from the beach, staying just out of the view of hotel staff.
This is an absolute dote of a hotel. Peaceful and tranquil with remembrances of an older Bali where time stood still and was unimportant. Easily the friendliest and most eager to please staff I've ever encountered...possibly anywhere... and that's saying something. High-ceilinged cottage-style rooms. The waves lapping outside. A dated pool, but who really cares? A competent restaurant on site. It's really great. It's got a big gong. You'll love it!

空空少009Great hotel, very suitable for a family to go on holiday, the hotel has a swimming pool, all kinds of facilities, a variety of delicious breakfast in the morning, but you need to go to the point, and then you can go to the snorkeling sea fishing project, life It will be very pleasant, no need to go out, take a few steps from the house to the beach!
EERWIN CITRAGreat experience to stay at Lotus. After considering so many options, finally we chose Lotus Bungalows. The staff was really helpful and friendly. They welcome us and explain everything. Great infinity pool direct view to ocean. The bathroom also spacious with complete amenity.
This hotel doesn't have TV, but it was okay for us. you can explore the beach and chill during stay.
GGuest UserGreat location for elegance in a wonderful area of Candidasa. Pool and beach front was awesome and food amenities was great. I was there during the Christmas holiday and New Year’ Eve festival so I was truly impressed by the service at the sister hotel, Palms Reset. They had activities to keep quest entertained and the staff was pleasant and amicable. I truly enjoyed my stay at the resort for 2 weeks.
ААндреев ЕвгенийCome here as a family with children or as a couple for a calm, quiet, relaxing holiday. Hotel with magnificent views of the Bali Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The first line, admiration from the ebb and flow. Superb ocean views from anywhere in the hotel. The pool is great! Divided into three zones by depth. There is a bar-restaurant right next to the pool. It turns out to be a kind of Beach Club.
Our room had a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and utensils.
Nearby, outside the hotel, there is a “cafe” serving local cuisine. They don’t look very presentable (you have to understand that this is a village), but the food is delicious and not very expensive. There are also shops with everything you need.
And snorkeling... aerobatics... that's what we came here for...
We recommend visiting this area of Bali and this hotel!
