"Everything was okay apart from amenities like the iron took forever to get. Great view, clean rooms, excellent service and all round resort with bars, restaurants, spa, the beach at your doorstep but they need to renovate the building. The leaking inside the ceiling is not great to see in the corridors."

"We booked a Saturday night stay. Reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Our rooms were neat with a large bed, desk, occasional chair, bar fridge, microwave and kettle. Tea and coffee was also provided. Sufficient parking is available within the property and in the basement. Our room was adjacent to thd pool. Some guests at the pool area were so noisy that we were woken from our sleep. You can also hear the vehicle sounds from the freeway. Breakfast is optional extra at R155 per person. Room service is available until 10 pm."

"Fantastic hotel ..no more said They have a spa which offers spa treatment. Chose the feet /legs massage and full body 1hr massage.. Worst massage ever.. the masseur Nomcebe was not with it . I felt work and painful after the massage. It appears that there was no idea of muscle sets and how they need manipulation to relax and relieve tension etc. The best was the head massage.. Total waste of money and time and that is sad as the hotel experience is great. Furthermore booking for 9 persons with the spa was a nightmare and stressfull. Certain not a great experience and iam sure that other spas in the area will yield... better results.."

"Wow! What can I say?! We had 2 nights here before heading home and could easily have done more. We were lucky enough to stay in the Penthouse suite which was so comfortable and the views were amazing. The pool was also lovely as was the rest of the accommodation. We had really good communication from Katie before we arrived and Jacque was so friendly and helpful when we were there. On both of the nights she drove us to where we wanted to go for dinner and we used the local taxis company to get us home. It's a 20 minute walk to the beach and there are a few restaurants and shops there. I would highly recommend and I would definitely go back."

"When we checked in the room had a terrible musky smell. It seemed to of been water damaged and not properly dried up and cleaned thereafter. We complained to the front desk and were sent to another room with the exact same issue. We complained again and were then sent to a third room but the furniture had water damage, the shower silicone grouting had mould and the toilet didn’t fill up after flushing. Eventually the manager came to us and apologised and arranged for a fourth room which was much better than the first three. One of the nights other guests were drinking and partying till the morning, slamming doors and screaming. The restaurant and bar were extremely quiet and looked extremely dull. The hotel seemed extremely quiet for peak season in an holiday town and now I understand why."

"I don't know why this accommodation gets such poor reviews. It's unique. Large, well equipped with everything you need. Great views from large balconies. The lodge itself is great, fab swimming pool, food good and the staff could not be more helpful, accommodating and generally just lovelly. Nothing is too much trouble. Just 2 points I would like to bring up. Firstly unless you have a car you have to rely on Uber. We didn't have to wait long but others have. Secondly, the pool area is fab but just 3 children screaming can spoil everything. I'm all for children enjoying themselves but their parents are quaffing cocktails while their kids are shattering ear drums. I guess it is what it is. The bottom line is that it's a great place and I've yet to experience unhelpful staff. On the contrary."

"This was the most superb place I can remember finding! It surpasses anywhere else by a mile! From the warm welcome we received to the jaw-dropping beauty of this architectural masterpiece to the outstanding breakfasts.. everything went way beyond expectations! Our room was spacious and had one of the most comfortable beds imaginable which offered ceiling to floor views of the ocean. It was here we enjoyed the most spectacular sunrises and the sight of the monkeys on our balcony and the sound of them scampering over the roof! It was worth putting the alarm on for 5.30 am! The breakfasts were so delicious with everything home cooked. Jacqui gave us the best suggestions for eating out too! We spent time by the freshwater pool and enjoyed swimming. We just can’t wait to return next year!! We have included photos but they really don’t do justice to this amazing place, run by the best hosts you will find!"
