Highly recommend! Great location, comfy accomodation, friendly and welcoming staff - highly recommend the sea kayak tour!

I am rating Havitta Lodge “average” only because I want others to read it. First, their website does NOT accurately reflect the view. See three attached pictures. In fact, this lodge is located just behind a large fish factory in an industrial area on a small polluted harbor. There is no housekeeping in spite of being charged for it. There are no blackout curtains so be sure to bring an eye mask. The lodge charges for everything, breakfast $25.00 pp each day, sauna $200.00 for 2 hours, and forget about trying to get guidance about hikes as they are only interested in booking you $$ with their guide Roland. Do not eat at their restaurant “Fangst” it is a set three course menu and you get to choose between 2 entrees. I noticed another table was served soup and I asked for the soup and they said “no” you do not get soup. The waiter explained that the soup is offered only if you eat at their restaurant on another night. Wow. I asked for a glass of white wine and when they poured me a taste I asked if they had another white by the glass and they said “no” this is what we our offering. We paid a scalping of $200.00, without alcohol, for an unmemorable terrible tasting. We did not book a second dinner to try the soup. There are a lot of REAL beautiful settings to stay with dinner choices- Havitta Lodge is getting by with false advertising. The most comforting and charming hotel! We stayed in their converted fisherman’s cabins along the harbour and they were so beautiful. It’s very peaceful and the bed is so comfortable - you will have the best sleep of your life. It’s perfectly centrally located on the island. Close to the Leknes hotel airport. They have so many amazing activities at the hotel like kayaking, or their amaaazing sauna. But it’s also really close to other activities that you can drive to- like the Reinebringen hike, Haukland beach, Ballstad Fishing Tours and Unstad Arctic Surf. The restaurant is also AMAZING!!! Some of the best food we had on the island We absolutely loved it here and will definitely come back!!
